Because you need to download them if you want to play.
I find it more fun playing as somebody who doesn't have perfect skin and hair but rather a bit ugly with more uneven hair and stuff.
How do we know that there will even be a Dark Brotherhood questline? Or a Dark Brotherhood for that matter. Just remember for a second. The DB was only introduced in Morrowind with an expansion, and it tied in nicely. In Oblivion, it made sense to have the DB because their headquarters (right?) was in Cyrodiil, and after having it in Morrowind, it only makes sense to include it in the next game as a bigger role. But would the Dark Brohood even be in Skyrim, let alone still be an organization after 200 years? Do they have a reason to go to Skyrim? They certainly don't have a reason to assassinate the player as they did in Morrowind, and they supposedly have no headquarters there. I hope that there is mention of the DB, but the prevalent "assassin" guild is a different one, much like it was the Cammona Tong (I think) in Morrowind.
It was confirmed. Dark Brotherhood existed already in Daggerfall. Get your fucking facts right.
I'm da baws. [editline]29th March 2011[/editline] I wish there would be more illustrations of him. [editline]29th March 2011[/editline] You should have acted. They're already here. The Elder Scrolls told of their return. Their defeat was merely delay Til the time after Oblivion opened, When the sons of Skyrim would spill their own blood. But no-one wanted to believe. Believe they even existed. And when the truth finally dawns: It dawns in fire. But, There's one they fear. In their tongue, he's Dovahkiin: Dragon Born! That's just awesome.
There better be a god damn Frostcrag Spire in Skyrim.
Dovahkiin

Epic conclusion.
Too hyped for this game for it to be so far away.
There is going to be DB Bethesda already stated that.
My bad, I didn't know. Thanks! Now I'm happy. Time for some more Oblivion.
Use this time to save money on PC upgrades.
I don't mean to be the PC Elitist in the room, but if it can run on consoles and isn't a horrible port, then it will run fine on most hardware. [editline]29th March 2011[/editline] It's funny if you think any company is will to spend extra time on the PC version (except maybe Valve. Maybe)
Use this time to save money on PC upgrades.
I run Oblivion maxed out on my outdated rig, and it wasn't exactly an optimized game. As long as there is good optimization, hardware shouldn't be a problem.
I run Oblivion maxed on my mediocre rig and there's terrible stutter and indoor areas have worse FPS than outdoor areas

To elaborate on what Generic.Monk said, they are using creative engine now and may have vastly better/worse performance.

I hope Skyrim scales well graphically, at least I'd like to see some proper outdoor lighting and shadows even if it means most people won't be able to turn it on until current high end hardware becomes average.
A mudcrab could take Dagon without problems.
