Also, thanks for reminding me of the Collector's Edition.
Downloading Daggerfall now.
I really like Daggerfall in theory, but it's crazy difficult.

daggerfall has better graphics than skyrim
Halt!
Downloaded and installed (the first link on here, what now?
I'm thinking of getting Morrowind on Steam. Is it worth it?
If you do, install these.
[sp]In case you didn't know[/sp]
$20 seems pretty expensive for a 2002 game.

Trust me, $20 is underpriced.
I have the retail version of Morrowind and decided I will reinstall it and beef it up with mods, will the retail version work on Windows 7 nowadays?
Played Daggerfall, blundered through the character creation and got my arse handed to me by a giant bat and then by an archer. I think there's a glitch, my energy was stuck at the bottom and wouldn't go back up, which in this game means I die in one hit. What do?

I paid £2 for the game of the year edition with all the expansions from a charity shop

Yeah but you might have to fiddle with the compatibility options a little.
Daggerfall scares me :ohdear:, there's too many creepy noises going on in the dungeon and I'm scared something's going to sneak up on my back and scare the shit out of me. Also, most battles seem to be the one who strikes first almost always winning. What's the best way to control the game?
[editline]3rd April 2011[/editline]
Yes! I beat the starter dungeon of Daggerfall! As Linkara would say: I AM A MAN! *Punch*
The beginning dungeon rapes you, just do your best to gtfo of it.
Once you're level 3-4 and have some decent weapons you'll start kicking ass.
I'm following the instructions for installing daggerfall that are on the official site. It says to install it to C:\dagger. If I want to install it somewhere else, that won't mess anything up, will it?
Of course not.
Just be sure to make sure to use the directory you're installing it to in place of whatever directory they give you when necessary when you continue following the instructions.

Gotcha, thanks.
I hope some of the dragons in the game will have beards.

Maybe not...

:haw:
And yes, lizards and dragons do need beards. Argonians could just have scales/spikes that work as a beard.
Is there an oblivion thread or this one will do?
There is, but it's very dead, so go ahead.
I`ve been trying to get into this game (and Fallout 3 and Morrowind) but something felt wrong and I ended up deleting it. I reinstalled 5 times already. Now is the 6th time. What am I doing wrong?
Oblivion has it's issues that make the game seem drab.
Best to say is look for mods that fix things you dislike.
