Well you basically cant talk to anyone. Telvanni and Mages guild will acknowledge you/not kill you but they won't sell you anything or give you training. Basically you cant do anything except kill people and animals. All quests go on hold.
I never became a vampire in Morrowind, how is it so bad/ or hard to play as one?
Almost nobody will talk to you, your blood sucking is just a spell, vampire factions have only two quest each. Gah ninja'd.
With the three main vampire mods, it becomes fun. Vampiric hunger, vampire brace and vampire realism.
Ideally you shouldn't have to mod the crap out of a game to make aspects of it playable. In vanilla morrowind vampirism is more of a nuisance than a twist or alteration. Vamprism in Oblivion is just sort of.. weak. It took a power sander to your character's face (which is saying a lot) and the whole feeding/no feeding thing was all out of whack. You should probably get weaker as you don't feed, or you should need to feed to hide your vampirism, or both.

[editline]9th April 2011[/editline] Why do you get stronger the LESS you feed? makes no sense.
Yeah. I suppose the explanation would be that you get ravenous or something, but then theres the whole vampire cure quest in which the count's wife gets weak and goes into a coma because she doesn't feed. But yeah, I'd like it to work like 3 levels of vampirism, you need to feed every 24 hours to hide your monstrous appearance.. and if you slip past 24 hours you'd start to look unnerving and people would lose disposition and would start to suspect you, and if you go past 72 hours you'd go full on nordic-vampire and you'd esentially turn into a horrible monster (like the one in the picture) and if you approach people your character automatically tears them to shreds for food.. then you go back to the first vampirism level. Would be bitchin and balanced. It always struck me as odd that all the vampires in the game are ravenous lunatics yet you have perfect control, for things like being a werewolf and being a vampire, at a certain point you should lose control and kill the nearest person. [editline]9th April 2011[/editline]
:suicide: It's a roleplaying game. If you're one of those who likes it realistic like myself don't use spells, just like DiscoInferno said.
Nope.avi I like how in Daggerfall you can make it so your character can't use spells. For instance, I created a character and made him completely inept at magic (couldn't cast spells in daylight or shadow) but because of that I got to give him a bunch of fighting-related bonuses. That was really a cool feature (advantages and disadvantages in character creation) I hope they bring that back for skyrim.

Imagine that scary looking vampire thing gallivanting through forests and frosty tundras ripping apart everything that moves and blasting apart everything that doesn't.
In what year will Skyrim take place? I've heard it was around 200 years after Oblivion..

If you have a dire weakness it'll be the only thing people cast on you, so they exploit it. I had a weakness to shock and nightblades/mages would almost always cast shock spells on me. Weakness to paralysis is the worst because ghosts always fucking cast it on you  [editline]9th April 2011[/editline]
Or being the Dovahkiin you have incredible mental fortitude and instead rip and tear the nearest dragon and the next 20 dungeons. I've heard it was around 200 years after Oblivion..
Something like that. Morrowind exploded, the empire is crumbling, etc
Other way around. If you have a dire weakness it'll be the only thing people cast on you, so they exploit it.
:ohdear: Seriously though, thats how you make a fucking vampire. Actually scary, but not offensively ugly like oblivion. Still. it would be cool if there were some sort of illusion spell you could cast or something to hide your vampirism. Maybe do enough quests for your vampire clan, then they reward you with a spell to temporarily hide it.. maybe it could slowly damage your strength and endurance attributes as you use it. Vampirism was annoying in Morrowind because once you become a vampire it's like "oh, thats was sort of fun, okay time to find the cure now" so it's not actually possible to play the game unless you are heavily into vampire roleplaying :colbert:
I have a vampire mod (that an extention of one of the three main vampire mods, I forget which one) that adds a spell that does that, but unless you get a regular donor then its hard to maintain, especialy for fresh vampires.
Nothing in the game can cast poison on you then, because I have that weakness and I never get poisoned.
Spiders and scorpions use poison. One flaw with the system is that poison counts as magic, so if you're immune to magic attack then poison and paralysis don't work.
Pic of Fem MH armor?
It's ANIME K00L~ but imo they look decent
I hope there will be Werewolves in Skyrim, there just have to be! Todd Howard said in a podcast that they are thinking about implementing them, but he couldn't say if they are going too. When there are no werewolves, they hopefully will be in a DLC or something.
MH armors
I may have been over exaggerating when I said that the female armors look like they were straight from the nexus, but they do share the idea that women's armor is more...exposing. Are there any half decent vampire overhauls for Oblivion?
Are there any half decent vampire overhauls for Oblivion?
I've never actually found one I like.
Horses are so underrated in Oblivion. I hope to see knights in Skyrim.
I always wondered why a vampire would look ugly, wouldn't it be better for it to be healthy and good looking? That would make their attempts at getting blood easier right?
Vampires don't need good looks, they have their magical hypnosis powers. Remember that neato charm power you got when you become a blood-sucker in Oblivion?
Vampires don't need good looks, they have their magical hypnosis powers. Remember that neato charm power you got when you become a blood-sucker in Oblivion?
Don't forget ugly =/= (indefinitely) scary scary: ugly: Get pulled into a frozen lake by #1 = HOLY FUCK See #2 in dungeon = You are really fucking ugly you old hag [editline]9th April 2011[/editline] Scary things genially equate to the appearance of being dead/and having features people find scary such as black eyes and razor canines, ala having traditionally scary features and not looking quite human. Ugly = having pasty skin, a miserable frown and lots of wrinkles Oblivion vampires just look like really ugly people, the skyrim vampire concept art looks like an actual monster
I know this is not the place for game suggestions or wishes but.. I wish you could drag bodies in Skyrim more effectively. Takes like 2 minutes to drag a body a few meters.
I like how in oblivion beards and eyebrows were just bleached skin.

But the idea of making your own armor from the environment would be awesome. If I were in charge, I'd make DragonBone Armor the strongest Light/Medium armor (if they have a medium armor skill), because A: It's from a fucking dragon, and B: Bone is not exactly heavy (not as heavy as metals are, anyways), and C: From the looks of the trailer, Dragons dissipate after dying, leaving only their skeleton, so DragonScale armor would be out of the question...
I know this is not the place for game suggestions or wishes but.. I wish you could drag bodies in Skyrim more effectively. Takes like 2 minutes to drag a body a few meters.
I never really dragged a lot of bodies in Oblivion, but if it's like Fallout you can just grab them, spin them around a little to build momentum and then release, sending stuff flying. I hope Skyrim lets you actually grab items physically instead of Oblivion's USE THE FORCE LUKE *bweeeeeeooooop shit levitates* LOOK MA, NO HANDS
And people reacting to corpses. "Oh look, my brother is dead. Let's walk by like i didn't see anything!"
And people reacting to corpses. "Oh look, my brother is dead. Let's walk by like i didn't see anything!"
Or imperial guards "DIE CRIMINAL SCUM!" *kills criminal scum* *reaches down and touches body* "Body is still warm, it looks like there's a killer about!"
Do Deadly Reflex 6 and the latest version of Unnecessary Violence work without conflicting?
View YouTUBE video http://youtube.com/watch?v=D8ZQOFAce7c Not real, but still awesome. Probably some other song of his under a new name.
If that's fan made, i wonder how awesome the real soundtracks will be.
