When I read the article about the combat, I literally took my penis out and started fapping right then and there. God damn glorious.
This game changes everything

I'm still not liking the level locked dungeons. But I'm sure there will be mods to fix it.
That was a fast thread...
"•The map is an interactive real time screen shot of the world you're in" I don't catch the drift.
Imagine if Shadow of the Collosus had a real-time 3d rendered map. It's similar to that I think. The map is accessed by pushing the menu button and looking down, where the character will look down and his view will be sent up into the air (so he's looking at the whole map by looking at the ground). I also think they'll try to justify fast travel with this, but that's just a guess

Frankly I feel bethesda's level locked dungeons method is just :effort: on their side. Saves them the "trouble" of having to place all them nasty monsters themselves and cramping their poor dutch fingers.
Really the dungeon system is my only complaint so far. That is usually rare for me because I'm a picky bastard. Can't wait to see the in-game Argonian models.
Please Let them have body awareness. At the very least like L4D.
Please Let them have body awareness. At the very least like L4D.
whats this?
If you look down, you'll see your feet instead of appearing as a floating pair of arms.
whats this?
Where you look down and can see your own body
I bought oblivion on the xbox first and it was perfectly fine, same game as vanilla oblivion on the pc. [editline]28th January 2011[/editline]
what was the dungeon system again?
Something about leveling. In my mind, if there's any leveling involved then it's a bad system.
depends, it can be okay if you do it right. lvl 50, running through a dungeon to find 1 goblin and 2 gold. hoo fucking ray
Where you look down and can see your own body
Being a female results in looking at your breasts....And the health meter will be present on it
I'd make a man with a big beer gut just for that
what was the dungeon system again?
Pretty much this: Your level 3, you see a dungeon/cave you want to explore. You go in, do your business and leave. Later on when your say level 16 and you go back to that cave, it is the same exact same level when you went in. So now you can just run through it without worries because your 13 levels above it. The loot is at that level you entered making it worthless.
any info on guilds/groups you can join so far?
Only the Dark Brotherhood so far.
1. enter all dungeons at lvl 1 2. level up until you're lvl 50 3. rape
Get useless loot in the process.
Get useless loot in the process.
1. enter awesomesauce dungeon with epic design and traps and crap at lvl 1 2. blow through it at lvl 1 and get shitty loot 3. rest of the game dungeons suck. no awesome fun experience for you.
Only the Dark Brotherhood so far.
well I'm fine, the other guilds were so boring untill the end of the questlines.
Get useless loot in the process.
My favorite system Dungeon 1: 1. Enter dungeon at level 6 2. Face pre-set level distinction, either numerous medium-difficulty enemies, or a few hard-difficulty enemies. 3. Find a few pieces of awesome loot. Enchanted silver dagger, and a piece of dwarven armor. Awesome. 4. feel satisfied and go haul your loot home. Dungeon 2: 1. Walk inside at level 9, oh shit, there's a few powerful daedra, most likely guarding some pretty epic loot. 2. Run away from combat knowing you'll get your ass handed to you by the daedra. 3. Revisit this dungeon when you feel ready, or just go maraud another dungeon. There should be lots of dungeons, and each one should conform to a basic system of having similar enemies inside. Some dungeons are harder than others, and carry slightly better loot. Leveling dungeons (and loot) is just a fucking terrible idea. Maybe I'm just old fashioned, but generally when I walk into a dark cave or an evil-infested ruin, I generally like that sense of foreboding about what might be inside, whats the fun of knowing exactly what you are going to face and find?
well I'm fine, the other guilds were so boring untill the end of the questlines.
Yeah, too me the dark brotherhood was the only guild I joined multiple times and didn't really go 'Hurry up I wanna get to the good bits!'
I don't like the difficulty system in Oblivion, I hope it's better in Skyrim. In Oblivion it's either "kill anything in one hit"-easy or "even the bandits have to be hit 100 fucking times before they die"-hard. It's like it doesn't actually make the enemies harder, it just increases their stats which just makes it annoying.
I liked fallout 3's system. Although by level 20 nothing can fucking hault you.
