This one is incredible, reminds me of Morrowind.
I didnt put all the images in the media tag. The last 7 pictures wouldn't load the full resolution version, you'll have to see those on imageshack.
I might fix it later if it cooperates.
I'm getting strong vibes of Morrowind Imperial armor with that guard down there.
fixed it

yeah, in that one village image, you can see a bosmer male, and there's an imperial gaurd in roman-esqu armor.
Hello, friend of mine said this thread was funny and had beard jokes, and it was about the GAME OF THE YEAR of 2011, so I decided to register here.
I hope to get along well.
Uhh. No. The only game that Bethesda made that had quick time events was Wet, and that didn't get any positives for the QTE, the most 'directed gameplay' you might get is some pre-made animations once the fight gets to a certain point.
Then they aren't going to be that great. It's just going to be you and the dragon slashing/breathing fire.
Unless they actually make the dragon swoop and stuff, and then everyone will complain it's too hard, forgetting the fact it's a dragon and not a rat.
--
I dunno, I trust Bethesda kind of, but I really don't see how they'd be able to pull it off.
Maybe I'm just a cynic/retarded.

I believe in bethesda, they'll make it awesome. New Vegas was pretty good, even it being made in Gamebryo, so I think it will kick ass.
That bow and arrow still look off to me...

You are not the Dovahkiin, I am the Dovakhiin, GET OUT

It's making me wonder if the generic fantasy armor the Legion wore in Oblivion was something unique to Cyrodiil, while the "Roman" armor is for foreign detachments.
Plus why is the Legion there if the Empire doesn't exist.

I think they are quite good this time. Coming from someone whos done a fair bit of archery.

I figured the empire did still exist, it was just in shambles. I mean, I doubt the legion vanished, there's probably a lot of mercenaries/power holders that are descended from the legion and they are probably still puttering around.

he's probably a soldier that kept his armor after the empire was ruined.
The trailer has amazing music

I'd guess that makes sense, especially since there is a Blades member still running around.
Also isn't Skyrim the "real" origin of the Empire, rather then Cyrodiil?
Most people agreed that the Morrowind theme stomped Oblivion's. The new trailer made the Skyrim theme awesome. The drums boom more and the chorus chanting makes it very intense, it might be my favorite now.
Nords... Nords everywhere.
So the Neverarine is a Dragonborn, right?
Isn't Dovahkiin the last Dragonborn, thus making Neverarine dead?

I think the Nerevarine is gone either way, went to Akavir.
Hey look it's yet another guy trying to jerk off by posting his computer set-up.
Actually I just haven't played a new PC game in a while and I don't know what's required by games coming out now. Games that have been out for a while now, like Crysis and Battlefield Bad Company 2, get about 15-25 FPS on my system which is a pretty fucking terrible frame rate to be playing games at. I don't want to preorder Skyrim until I know the recommended requirements, otherwise it could end up like the previously mentioned games and be completely maddening to play.
Thanks for all the sarcastic replies, though, you guys were a great help.
The textures on the dragon look like garbage, but I'll put that down to consoling goodness.
ugh spent like half an hour cleaning up all the semen on my desk after watching the trailer

Um, are we looking at the same dragon here?

So...
#1 - Someone mentioned this is taken from 360 footage.. has that been confirmed?
#2 - This has awakened my interest in trying Morrowind with mods.. is there a list somewhere of top notch mods? I've played Oblivion to death but not much of Morrowind...
#3 - Nov 11.. can't come... soon... enough

no they don't
my pc is inferior to yours in every way and it runs those games perfectly
The old addage of "PC's are too expensive" is becoming somewhat of a joke. The Radeon 5870 2 gig was on sale for $179 after rebate today on Newegg. CPU requirements are low.. RAM is cheap.. etc. You can build a killer gaming PC for cheap now and just keep upgrading the GPU...

Bethesda didn't make Wet, they published it. There's a difference between Bethesda Game studios (Gear logo, makers of the TES series) and Bethesda Softworks (Red and white logo, publishers of TES and such acclaimed games as 'Star Trek Legacy', 'Wet', and 'Rogue Warrior')

Hey, my game runs badly!

Okay, I get it. Obviously I was lying the entire time about things running with bad frame rates (it's not like a large resolution will put a strain on a graphics card, anyway) and I'm just doing it to brag about my 2 year old PC. I apologize, you guys obviously know more about how games run on my PC than I do.
Not necessarily ripping on you specifically, but people are always asking "what are the requirements of the game" the game is 8 months out, we don't know, we haven't heard anything about the PC version other than the fact it'll look slightly better, etc, etc.
I'm just making fun of the fact that so many people really do not know how to tweak game settings, and end up running half the FPS that they should have with their hardware config, seems people will pretty beefy computers tend to run the game on "max grafics lol" and end up turning on a bunch of power-hog settings that bog down the game for no reason, and then they think their computer isn't good or something.
Just prediction wise, assuming they optimize the game engine properly for the hardware array that PC's have, then the game should run as well, or even better than Oblivion on the same hardware. Most PCs have 4-8x the spec power of an xbox or PS3, the issue is they don't spend a lot of time optimizing the game engine's code to work with all the different hardware types that PCs support. So, like I said, if the game is well optimized then any system that can run oblivion on the maximum settings will probably be able to run Skyrim on at least medium, if not the higher settings; assuming you tweak the settings properly.
From the clips of the combat it actually looks good. Unlike the combat in Oblivion, where the combat was seeing who could attack faster.
In Oblivion the combat felt weak. Hits didn't seem powerful, it just felt like you were attacking their stats, not the actual person.
