Upgrading on a PC isn't as terrible as people think it is, since it's quite easy to play, say, Crysis on high settings on a 2 year old PC.
I have 2 pc's one at my mum's house, which is recent pc can play BC2 on high, crysis high and most recent games, this Pc i'm on now is about 3-4 years old, maybe only 2 but it can still play Crysis pretty well on medium.

I know, but many people don't take the time to look into it, and just think you need to upgrade constantly.
Well, after watching the trailer, I think I can safely say this will run on my computer. For some reason I had this vision that the graphics would be ridiculously amazing, but they don't look THAT good.
I mean, they look modern, but not overly modern, if you know what I mean.

I think there was a saying, good things come to those who wait, it's true I don't have a good income either, I waited for my pc and I got it.

I'm not putting down the gameplay, I'm looking forward to this game so much!
It's just the ay people have been going on about 'the brand new engine' I was expecting something like Crysis or along the lines of that.

To be honest IMO it seems like it's just an upgraded version of Gamebryo, but heavily updated with things like soft shadows/dynamic shadows?
The point is not to start a flamewar of PC vs console. Fact is fact though... consoles are mainstream and sell a ton more copies than their PC counterpoints. That is just capitalism at work and people want to make a lot of money. No harm, no foul.
What IS also a fact and a problem is that sometimes PC versions are dumbed down to due to the fact that the 360 was the target platform. That is what irks me to no end.
I can speak fairly about as a 360, PS3, Wii and gaming PC owner. I love games on all platforms but I beat Oblivion on 360, then played it on PC and thought "Why didn't I do this first?!?"
And the addage of PCs are too expensive is bunk. You can get a fantastic video card for $150-$200 and the rest of the equipment is butter..

Says the man with the AVGN avatar.
??? I don't even now what AVGN is.. I saw this little icon and threw it in there to get rid of Beiber's ugly mug :)
Anyway I did not have it on mind to start a flame war, so sorry.
Same here.. we can discuss things without getting worked up.
I wonder when to expect another new material. Something like in two weeks?
I'm surprised, a game about dragons on Facepunch and not one person hs said "rrerr" or "dargon".
Actually I'm quite sure it has been said.
I hate graphic whores who would dislike a game based on it's graphics and not it's gameplay.
Is the dragon fight part actually possible in the game or was that just pre-scripted?
Is the dragon fight part actually possible in the game or was that just pre-scripted?
Obviously that was scripted, but I think they said that dragon behaviour is completely AI driven, with no scripting.
Even the attacks on villages? Holy shit that's badass.
I can see people going on the forums to complain a quest village was found on fire.
Also, in the IGN rewind it said the Dragonfire effects you saw on the ground will occur in-game, so strafing runs by Dragons will leave long lines of fire which eventually settles as scorched earth.

I think this can be easily avoided by adding some sort of quick teleportation technique (sort of like those scripts in morrowind, and a messenger who will come warn you about the threat (If you're famous/likable enough that is.
It's like when they said the emergent AI was so clever in Oblivion that when they forgot to make the apples respawn in a prison, the guards opened the cells, killed the prisoners, and took their food. I'd much rather have something like that than a dull, boring, lifeless world where everyone acts as you'd expect and nothing is left to chance.
Couldn't they have just made the AI go out and buy food?
I'd much rather have the game be so dynamic that something like that can happen than so ramrailed that it's predictable.

I agree, I'd be much more impressive if the developers found ways to circumvent negative scenarios like the one you just talked about, rather then lobotomize the game to remove it.

God, I love how their reasoning for taking out most of Radiant AI is that it was "buggy". Yeah, because lord knows the game isn't already extremely buggy or anything :downs:

That strangely sounded incredibly hilarious. Picturing the scene in my mind made it a lot better.
"Captain! We're out of potatoes!"
*captain looks at the cells*
"...Let's do this."

WHY did they not implement that? What were they thinking?
I would like to add that Planet Elder Scrolls has good mods too, it's the first result when google searching "Morrowind Mods".
Many of the mods in that link link to PES
Is it alright to talk about Morrowind since the other TES thread is dead?

So why not cut out the middle man?
if my pet dragon does not have a beard, i will be severely disappointed.
Bearded dragons actually sound like a plausible breed of the species.
Probably it never existed.
