End of 2011 will be tough, what to play ? Mass effect 3 or Skyrim ?
Both ?

Skyrim will be finished first, Mass Effect can wait.
I've never finished a Elder Scrolls game before, I always get caught up doing side/guild missions and adventuring instead of doing the main plot.

I guess what I'm saying is, while it's a lot of fun, killing soembody in Dark Messiah just isn't as well deserved as it is in Elder Scrolls.
I'm not trying to counter or dumb down your opinion, but the thing is that you're comparing an Action-based game to a RPG.

Skyrim. As much as I like ME, I would punch Shepard in the face to get my hands on a copy of Elder Fucking Scrolls 5.
Told my friend about Skyrim today and i had to end up explaining it as "The sequel to Oblivion"

I explained Skyrim to my best friend by hurling him into a wall with a yell, then gritting my teeth and forcing my body to grow a beard.
Turned out he'd already heard about it, so we sort of stood there while our beards duked it out for dominance. The struggle is ongoing.

There's a DS in my house and a Wii in the friend I mentioned's house.
But we don't own them. Curse our luck, to be living with casuals. (Says the Guitar Hero player)
"Skyrim"
"What?"
"Sequelish to Oblivion"
"What?"
"Sequelish thing for the sequelish thing to Morrowind."
"Oh. Meh."
Oh well, at least she knows now, just showed her the trailer, can't wait what she'll say.
I was trying to tell a friend of mine about it (he happens to be fan of RPG's, or as it turned out, mmo's)
I had to explain Bethesda softworks to him.

"Uhmm... You know the game Fallout?"
"No"
"Then god help you."
For some reason I like Morrowind's and Skyrim's main themes over Oblivion's. Oblivion's one sounds like it's trying to hard but failed. Morrowind's one is more mellow and Skyrim's one is Skyrim's one.

Morrowind's theme made me feel like a Mudcrab, Skyrim's theme makes me feel like a Viking, Oblivion's theme made me feel like a badass Imperial Guard chopping criminal scum to tiny bits.
Morrowind's theme was too mellow until the very end. Skyrim is a good balance between the two.
I must say I really like the Oblivion theme, it so... fitting. And I can't wait to hear the Skyrim one in its main menu.
I find the Morrowind theme the most calming one, and that's a good thing.
I find the Oblivion theme the most generic one, and that's a good thing as well. (I like generic stuff, it's a good baseline, and then also some kind of safety-net. Why change what works?)
I like Skyrim's theme, as I have not heard anything more motivating in YEARS.
I think my beard will grow so fucking much when I start playing, that I'll be able to make a beard sweater.
I really can't wait till 11 11 11
You should knit the beard around you as a whole body suit, without detaching it from your chin.
they need to publish the game with a warning: beard will hastily grow while playing this game, leave windows open so the beard can flow out, beard may otherwise fill room, resulting in suffocation of player.

Nerevar Rising is melodic and deep, reflecting the epic story and surreal world of Morrowind.
Reign of the Septims is full of fanfare and power, underscoring the epic conflict at the center of Oblivion, as well as indicating a more intense, action oriented game than it's predecessor.
Sons of Skyrim is just epic.
I'm glad I have a friend who plays Fallout and Oblivion...on Xbox, but heck that's the best I'm gonna get here.

I just said I prefer those two over Oblivion..
Here's to hoping every second quest won't involve fumbling around in dark repetitive dungeons
I like the fact that the clothing doesn't look like they have dyes all the colours of the rainbow, judging by that awesome looking robe in the trailer.

I hear the team for dungeons in Skyrim has 8 people this time, as opposed to one guy making every dungeon for Oblivion. So we should have more variety.
Also, I'm really looking forward to Dwemer ruins.
I never got a response from that guy who did the skyrim theme on piano via keyboard to finish what I wrote.
Should I just release the part as is?
I hope we still get to name our enchanted weapons. I want to name a sword "Hassan Chop".
Or better yet, have Bethesda put an actual weapon in named "Hassan Chop".

I'm thinking that Akaviri ruins will fill the role Dwemer ruins had in Morrowind and Alyiad ruins had in Oblivion. Wasn't the area of Skyrim once occupied by the guys from Akavir? Did someone else live there?

I'm sure there are Dwarven ruins in Skyrim: the pipes in the dungeon from the trailer confirm it.
I don't think anyone from Akavir spent a lot of time in Skyrim (I think Pale Pass in Cyrodil was as far north as they got in their first invasion,) so I don't think we'll see much of anything from them, other than what remains of the Blades.
As for the latter question, the Nords say that the falmer (snow elves) used to live in Skyrim before the men came from Atmora. They lived in peace for a while, but tensions rose, the elves attacked, and the Nords fled back north to Atmora, then returning with an army and wiping them out.
