Bioshock Infinite Thread V3 Booker DeWitt in Wonderland

Hehe, I should stop browsing the thread until I beat the game. I don't have proper clearance to read the redacted info yet.
Can you have more than one save or no
so, how on earth does one fucking kill [sp]lady comstock[/sp] on 1999? ive died like 50 times to them now, i really dont see how this is doable at all, seeing as how every time i die they regenerate back to full health, unlimited grunt enemies keep on spawning and they do a shit ton of damage to me as well
man i'm at school and can't play but i want to play :(
is there any benefit to choosing the cage over the bird? or is it purely aesthetic?
keep in mind i'm not even halfway through yet, so if it's an endgame spoiler just tell me that because i don't want to read the spoilers and accidentally reveal shit
[editline]27th March 2013[/editline]
also i swear to god if this is about purgatory or some shit like lost i'm going to kill someone
The ending always is the same.
Also, I kind of felt Vigors/Plasmids took a backseat in this one, playing on Hard for my first time they all seemed to do the same thing differentiating themselves only in small amounts of how much they stun or damage - barely used anything but the one that turns enemys into a friendly for a short time. The Presentation was glorious but I thought the gameplay was pretty bland compared to Bioshock 1.
ALRIGHT EVERYBODY, ALL THE CHOICES YOU MAKE ARE AESTHETIC [sp]THERE IS ONLY ONE ENDING[/sp].
It's weird, while enemies and you take more damage on hard, so it's kinda like ranger mode. But then any tier higher enemies take like, all of your ammo. It's just a bizarre jump in difficulty from random guys to even turrets sometimes. Though I'll admit the fight with the [sp]Second handyman at the factory, with the first tesla coil[/sp] is the most hectic and exhilarating fight I've had in a game in a long time.
So much ammo. I miss my money so much.
I understood the ending and all but I never understood why [sp]Booker went forward in time after Liz was taken by the songbird, I feel like I missed something major here.[/sp]

[sp]Old Liz brought him to the future with a rift. She says as much. In old Liz's timeline Booker died or gave up or something. Probably died from Songbird though.[/sp]
So was one of the many implications of the ending that [sp]there are basically an infinite number of Bioshocks (ha I get it)? As in, there's a lot of different realities where a man is sent to a hidden city run by a unique ideology via a lighthouse? I really hope so, because that's kind of awesome.[/sp]
i've been playing for 4 hours now and i still dont know how to do a melee attack.

[sp]Well, there's an endless amount of universes so yeah, I guess you could say that.[/sp]

How did you even get through the raffle?

[sp]It always starts with a lighthouse.[/sp]
Just completed the game...Wow...that was one of the most amazing endings i've ever seen, even if i didn't understand half of it.
do i get melee augments later on?
i love how gear works. you could plausibly make yourself mostly melee and be totally fine
[sp]Well, there's an endless amount of universes so yeah, I guess you could say that.[/sp]
[sp]Elizabeth seemed to be pointing to that specifically when she said "there is always a lighthouse, there is always a man etc.". It would certainly explain why Rapture suddenly became relevant. I know a big part of it was fanservice, but I like to think it had some purpose. [/sp]

You do, but since gear is randomized you could get all the good stuff later, or in the first few chapters.
Found this on Reddit, maybe you guys already know.
[sp]Booker DeWitt.. Booker Do It[/sp]

no i mean like
in sessler's review he looked like he was charging up his melee. is that something i get later or is that a gear thing
no i mean like

It's probably a vigor that he was using, which you get like halfway through the game iirc.
oh it might have been Charge

Enable Multiple Save-game Slots
Infinite’s saving system defaults astonishingly to only one slot, and that throws an electric-charged wrench into the prospect of keeping several playthroughs at once with different power combinations and choice outcomes.
Luckily, GameFront figured out, with a little file finagling, how to swap around multiple saved games whenever you need them. The process is somewhat clunky, but it gets the job done:
1. Make sure Steam cloud synchronization is disabled.
2. Make a backup of your BioShock Infinite “savedata” directory. It should be located here: ..Steamuserdata[your Steam ID]8870remotesavedata
3. Create as many subfolders as you want within this directory. Assume that each of them contains a save game.
4. Simply move the contents of the “savedata” directory into the corresponding subfolder whenever you or anyone else wants to start a new game.
5. When you start a new game, a new save file for that game will be automatically created within the main “savedata” directory.
6. When you want to switch playthroughs, first move the current file in the “savegame” directory into a sub-folder for safekeeping (remember to name the sub-folders so you remember which is which). Secondly, move the playthrough you’d like to load from its sub-folder into the main “savegame” directory, which will enable you to continue from that file.

It sound realy complicated
While its realy simple
(BTW, does the 1999 mode delates the saved games once you die and run out of money, or just forces you to load game?)

The cover of the ps3 version says that it includes the first Bioshock, so I would say yes.
