You think so?
I used it pretty much as my main weapon throughout the entire game.
I blame my own aim. Gotta try it out again.

People talking about the ending are making me sad, I don't want this game to end. It's just so damn NIIIIIIIIIIIICE.
Also, god the soundtrack is amazing, the choir version of this song is beautiful, as is the original:

Also, I love the loading screen jingles and the scene where [sp] Fortunate Son is playing through one of the tears [/sp]
Oh man. I loved it when it played at the beginning. Such serenity and bewilderment after such a dark beginning really brought home the start of the journey.
EDIT: In fact, I want to buy it for my personal music collection. Where do I go to obtain a high quality version of this?
[sp]Oh didn't know that. Maybe because Comstock was sterile he wanted a biological daughter so he stole it from a non-sterile version of himself? Yeah the whole "she was born after" thing is a lot more confusing[/sp]
[sp]When looking for Lady Comstock Tears and going into The Lutece labrotory/house, there's a recording that states Comstock became sterile from exposure from the experiments"[/sp]

Season pass will hopefully add some nice story content.
does this ever get to a point where i can go back and explore places i've already been, or not?
i feel like i missed a shitload of collectibles
My god!
Just finished it minutes ago (had too watch if anything happened after the credits) and I'm still picking up pieces of my jaw that dropped to the floor. That was just amazing! Sure, I have been following this thread for a while so i knew that it was gonna be good, but wow! I've never experienced such a story in a game before. Like I've heard and read; Game Changer!
Though the final Boss fight took quite a while..
[sp]"He doesn't row." "He doesn't ROW?" "No, he DOESN'T row." "Oh, I see what you mean."[/sp]
Fucking Luteces.
I made an analysis/explanation of the details and implications of the awesome and complex ending of Infinite! :)

Can I make a thread in video section with this?
[sp]"He doesn't row." "He doesn't ROW?" "No, he DOESN'T row." "Oh, I see what you mean."[/sp]
Fucking Luteces.
I don't get it.
Just finished it. This fucking ending is getting my head twisted up.
So if I got it right, [sp]Booker gave away his daughter to pay his debts, and the lutece twins bought Anna/Elizabeth from him to give it to Comstock. Later on, Booker goes from the baptism, renames himself Comstock, funds Columbia, and uses the tear experiments to retrieve his daughter from himself. And it goes on and on and on until eventually a version of himself shows up and stops it all.[/sp]
I don't get it.
[sp]Does row, doesn't row, will row.[/sp]
Just finished the game. It was really good.
First time in a while I've liked a character as much as I liked Elizabeth. Hauling her around wasn't a chore, she was nice, and a few of the little snippets of conversation surprisingly made me laugh. (Mainly the one about Booker sarcastically saying something about "if only we had a prophet that could see the future," to which Elizabeth replies "Har har.")
I joked about the whole breasts thing pre release, but I'm glad I never took it seriously. Elizabeth was great.
Ending spoilers below, including my personal opinion.
[sp]The whole Rapture part was ace as shit. As soon as that window appeared, I went batshit. Ended up running up the stairs to see the olde plasmid machine, then came back down to listen to Elizabeth say goodbye to songbird.
From the very beginning the idea of infinitely repeating universes was playing on my mind, the initial "no, he DOESN'T row" had me contemplating whatever twists were likely to come, including the future tense etc. The coin flip and tally marks were a hefty hint, I don't think it was supposed to be a secret at all.
I caught on to who Booker was near the end. I felt that Booker was such a good father symbol to Elizabeth earlier in the game, and was dead set on him being her father. I knew I was going to be the Big Bad, but thought that'd be a too obvious path. Obviously I was wrong, and was a tad disappointed with that final all-the-Elizabeth's drowning scene. Like, heavily disappointed. I stayed and watched the credits, and the singing scene was nice. I'm glad I found that guitar scene in-game.
The after credits scene fills me with hope. I'd actually love, absolutely love, to see more out of the series. Rapture may have played its course, but I thoroughly enjoyed BS1, BS2 not so much, but they're still fantastic games. I'm hoping they continue with Elizabeth somewhat, because holy fuck do I want to see her finally standing in Paris with Booker while Tears for Fear's (you know which song) plays.[/sp]
I grinned like a motherfucker when that scene actually played, with her opening the tear while you watch from the observation window, then again when [sp]Girls just wanna' have fun was playing in that small tear near the graveyard.[/sp]
Still struggling to believe that a modern game, one I was cautious but had such high hopes for, came out with a character I really like and want to see more of (Elizabeth.) Booker, too. [sp]Especially after all that reveal stuff. Even if we knew there was going to be a reveal from the very beginning with that quote[/sp]
I've actually enjoyed this whole experience more than the first too games. Dropping the survival horror concept seems to have been a good move, considering how much enjoyment I've been able to take out of the game and Elizabeth/Booker.
Seriously, this is the first game in a hell of a long time I wouldn't mind seeing them pull a Final Fantasy or Zelda or something with, given that it actually continued somewhat instead of being completely different each time. (That'd be great, but a lot of work and in this day and age I'd be very skeptical about the original ideas and themes and stuff.)
I want another game with Elizabeth and Booker fuck.
[sp]Wait, the Luteces are dead? Oh god this plot just took a mindfuck turn. I'm at the ghost of Lady Comstock part[/sp]
goddammit i have a midterm in 30 minutes
but i want to go home and play this already
Can someone explain how I'm supposed to fight Handy Men? Like, how exactly did the designers intend for me to fight them?
Is there a vigor that actually affects them I'm not using or a gun that does more than almost no damage?

You're not even halfway through the revelations.

undertow them to you, shoot while stunned, haul ass when it wears off
they're super mobile, so you need to be MORE mobile. just be careful on skylines.
What's the [sp]secret scene after the credits ? I skipped the credits like an idiot[/sp]
Also [sp]adding the pre-release model of Elizabeth in the final end sequence was a fun touch[/sp]

Jesus, is there a single thing in the game that has nothing to do with the story and isn't foreshadowing :v:
undertow them to you, shoot while stunned, haul ass when it wears off

I found that going on skylines, and when it jumps up to electrocute, you jump off, shoot it while it's immobile, and when he drops the skyline can be used again so repeat.

I've been sticking to Sparks, Fire, and Crows for most of the game, never thought to use Tentacles. Thanks.
The problem is that I can't out maneuver them. I can't just run, since they're faster, and I can't keep skylining away since they'll either shut the line down or I'll never get an opportunity to shoot at them since I'm concentrating on hopping around.
Shit, more than once I've just died out of nowhere because it leaped from across the map and slapped my shit, killing me instantly. And more often than that I've been revived only to have the exact same thing happen where I spawned.
it's so entertaining to isolate a big enemy under a skyline and then just jump on, drop onto them, jump on, drop onto them, etc.
i love skylines holy shit
best idea ever

it's hard to shoot a robot in the heart when it has the agility of spider man and is constantly doing the twist

[sp]You wake up in booker's office, only this time music can be heard from anna's room, you go to the door to see if she's there only for it to cut to black at the last second[/sp]
[sp]basically now that comstock doesn't exist then anna is never taken in the first place and thus booker has no guilt and thus doesn't decide to get baptized at all[/sp]
Hope that clears it up for you.
[sp]Does row, doesn't row, will row.[/sp]
English isn't my first language, is that the reason I don't get it or I'm missing some game element?
TIL if you stay on the beach for a bit once you free Liz, she does random shit on the beach like eavesdropping on people, skipping rocks, trying to lift weights with big muscley guys...
I think this is officially the best game I've ever played, I was thinking that the entire way through but that ending completely sealed it.
I didn't play that much of the first game [sp](enough to find the Rapture appearance brilliant though)[/sp], is the story on the same level of mindfuckery as infinite? I'm thinking should I play through the original or play through infinite again.
