[sp]What does leaving Booker's office whenever you die without Elizabeth to help you mean? I feel like it's the game trying to show you the transition to another timeline that's been the exact same up until the point of when you died. But this doesn't happen with Elizabeth, because she's always there to jab you in the chest with syringe?[/sp]
[sp]unlikely. It was clearly placed by the Luteces, but why would they use Booker's body? If he removed the bag on his head, it could have potentially ballsed their plan up royaly.[/sp]
[sp]what if the blood is because they took a sky hook to his face[/sp]

[sp]Its just a way to conceal their revival system. I wouldn't look at it too deeply.
just like Vita-Chambers and New-U Stations from Borderlands, its a gameplay device given pseudo-lore explanation.[/sp]

[sp]Maybe they knew he wouldn't take the bag off. After all, the events of the game will happen, already happened, and are currently happening. It's all a matter of perspective.[/sp]

[sp]I still fail to see why it needs to be Booker's corpse. Could just be some average Joe.[/sp]

[sp]Nah, too clean. We saw what it did to the guy at the raffle, and what Booker can do with that murder machine.[/sp]

[sp]Question: Did booker enter the Columbia universe at the lighthouse, or more specifically, when he launches through the clouds? (As the weather is bad and stormy, but as soon as Columbia is revealed, the weather is beautiful, the clouds and white, and the world below is bright) Or was he brought through BEFORE the Luteces dropped him there?[/sp]

[sp]Wow this whole post is black bars :o[/sp]

I dunno, it's just fun to think about.
I'd put this game number one on best story driven games of all time honestly. I can't name a game that even comes close to the amazing narrative that this game provided.

[sp]Before. They explicitly show you walking through the tear into the Comstock universe made by the Luteces. That triggers the creation of new memories upon entering the universe, and the beginning of the game.[/sp]
Man the carbine sucks.
wtf its like the best gun ???
[editline]28th March 2013[/editline]
carbine, pistol, revolver, shotgun, best weapons
You know, playing the game through without having seen anything other than the very first trailer and Adam Sessler's review was probably for the best. Definitely like playing games blind compared to seeing one come out, reading about it on TVTropes and then knowing what happens already if I pick it up down the line. :v:
Hand cannon and Sniper Rifle got me through the game on Hard.
Sooo why didn't the [sp]Luteces explain everything to Booker, and who killed the guy in the lighthouse in the beginning?[/sp]
they may have done that [sp]IN AN ALTERNATE DIMENSION OMG![/sp]
Hand cannon and Sniper Rifle got me through the game on Hard.
Hand cannon and sniper is my favorite weapon combo in the game.
I keep hearing lightsaber noises when I'm outside.

Indeed, I myself am presently running around with a fully upgraded Hand Cannon and Sniper Rifle around Columbia.
[sp] Just that he was based off big daddies that fink saw in tears, but he was vague on purpose, just like Big Daddys, you arent supposed to know.[/sp]
[sp]they explain every minuscule detail of big daddys in bioshock 2 and go into a great deal at the end of bioshock 1[/sp]
shit, i'm at the part where [sp]the prophet cumsock is molesting elizabeth's finger stub on his ship, should I intervene?[/sp]
Or gameplay purposes.
Why would other realities have freighthooks everywhere?
[editline]27th March 2013[/editline]
The gunplay in infinite is in a whole league of better.
And Bioshock 1 had super light RPG elements to begin with. I never even saw it as an RPG whatsoever, just a shooter with cool abilities and upgrades.
Why?
Because its not an RPG. Its a shooter with cool abilities and upgrades.
[sp]since there are millions, literally any of them? jesus...[/sp]
Indeed, I myself am presently running around with a fully upgraded Hand Cannon and Sniper Rifle around Columbia.
poppin' heads: the game
That fucking carbine, man.
It's so much fun to shoot! Almost as fun as the hand-cannon!
QUICK HELP

please internet make my bad lifestyle choice for me so I don't have to
No, you will need a fully functioning mind to understand the already confusing plot.
Oh man. Liz just sang that song. Well. Song bit, anyway. That was purdy.
shit, i'm at the part where [sp]the prophet cumsock is molesting elizabeth's finger stub on his ship, should I intervene?[/sp]
[sp]no choice[/sp]
oh you know what?
[sp]how are booker and comstock even in the same dimension?! I can only imagine booker somehow entered a tear when he handed anna over b/c otherwise, unless comstock entered booker's dimension, the columbia never would have abandoned the US, right? At what point did both of them begin to co-exist in the same reality?[/sp]

[sp]The twins pulled him through at some point, that's why they were on the boat[/sp]
[sp]how did he not notice though? wtf? that's ambiguous and dumb. don't believe it[/sp]
Beat it in about 6 hours. Great game. Have no idea how people are taking 15 hours, but that's just me.
Anyway, I haven't seen this much debate for a game since Half-Life. This game is A++.
how the fuck do you beat this in 6 hours? i was playing on hard and i was exploring every part of the game I could and took me 15 hours too. It really sucks for you if you just blasted through it.
[sp]also in terms of bioshock connection, I think it's very important to note the box that he is given at the beginning of the game with the pistol in it, which bears great resemblance to that given to you (unknowingly to the player) at the beginning of bioshock. possibly could be a purposeful mislead but I think there really is something with the "a man and a lighthouse" concept[/sp]
I just finished the game
[sp]Holy fuck, when the multiple tear elizabeths drown you because you just find out you are both DeWitt and Comstock[/sp]
[sub][sub]Dumbs?[/sub][/sub]

I almost cried at the beginning, when you first enter the church. The atmosphere, the hymn, its so perfect. I walked around there for 30 minutes, and didn't want to leave.
[sp]how did he not notice though? wtf? that's ambiguous and dumb. don't believe it[/sp]
[sp]How did who not notice? Booker? He was drunk or knocked out or something (and while he's dazed he makes up the "bring us the girl [from Columbia] and wipe away the debt" story in his head). You see it happen in the ending[/sp]
