Bioshock Infinite Thread V3 Booker DeWitt in Wonderland

Haha, I liked the old fashioned tainted love in the shanty town bar.
I've decided while I replay the game on 1999 mode, I'm going to turn off subtitles (just to get a nicer screenshot) and get all kinds of different shots of Elizabeth's emotions. The work they did on her is pretty incredible.
Also, what's up with the [sp]red tears[/sp]?
[sp]The Bank of The Prophet[/sp] is possibly the greatest thing to happen to [sp]Booker DeWitt's wallet[/sp] ever.
[sp]Got roughly $5k out of there so far[/sp], and I haven't even left the place yet.
The [sp]Luteces[/sp] are my new favourite side-characters, their [sp]situational unawareness and lack of emotion truly makes them a unique character. They are very much like Observers (Fringe) or Time Lords.[/sp]
I wonder, is there a specific word for characters like them?
Seconding this. [sp]Their theme is amazing, I'd upload it to Youtube but the name of it is rather spoilerish.[/sp]
Playing on hard and [sp]Ghost Lady[/sp] is really starting to piss me off.
SCP-0145 (Bioshock Infinite Threads): [EVERYTHING IS RETRACTED]
Also is there a song only version of the one sung by the group and Fink at the Raffle?
How does this play on lower end PCs?
aka on lowest settings, would my rig be able to play it (gotta upgrade soon, but I bought it so I want to go ahead and play it) http://puu.sh/2pmnW
Also, what's up with the [sp]red tears[/sp]?
[sp]Those play music from the future. It where all (well most) of the music in Columbia comes from. The song playing at Battleship Bay is Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.[/sp]
is it me or does the difficulty go WAY up once liz changes clothes? I mean I'm losing shields like there's no tomorrow.

Very smooth surprisingly and the game still looks wonderful to boot.

Yeah it's a major upscale.
I'm not disappointed its not an RPG.
I just liked the RPG elements in Bioshock because it was one of the few games to do it right.
The pacing of the combat in Infinite is too fast, so there is little room for strategy in comparison. When I see a sentry I don't go, oh I should switch to anti armor rounds, I just shoot it because dominating is usually a waste of salts. Same deal with stealth, in the original Bioshock you could stealth to avoid a lot of enemies and hide from them, in Infinite it just lets you get the first shot off. Or plasmids vs vigors, Bioshock had way more variety, in Infinite I felt like I was using only 2 for the most part.
As for improvements enemies don't take 50 bullets to the head in hard mode anymore, but on the other side you fight waves of enemies CoD style.
it's a different game

Well, at that point [sp]all of Columbia wants to kill you[/sp]. It only makes sense for difficulty to start spiking after that.
Damn, this game has abruptly and mercilessly sucked me in. The opening act, strolling around exploring the utopian city, and the suddenness of which it all turned shitty is already one of my favorite video game experiences ever.
That, and Elizabeth makes Alyx Vance look like a flat, emotionless piece of plywood.
Also, going to be honest, it's obvious considering what people are saying that Irrational wasn't trying to make a Bioshock game here - More like 2K had them put Bioshock on the title so it would sell more.
Not that I have a problem, I love this game so far.
Haven't cleared the game yet, but Elizabeth is a great character and a tool that makes something as simple as wandering around an area a bit more interesting.
I do miss the 'moral' choices however. I was looking forward to comments on Booker's character development through decisions you were able to make.
it's tied to the bioshock universe directly
motherfucker these handymen are kicking my ass
FUCK
why won't the vox attack them too? This is getting unnecessarily difficult.

[sp]It's connected to the universe in the most perfect, logical way possible. Constants and variables. A man, a light house. [/sp]

[sp]A city.[/sp]
imo best thing to do is kind of [sp]use return to sender to absorb zombie bullets and throw 'em back at her[/sp]
Holy shit, I never thought of that. That would have made that fight soooooo much easier.

Of course she makes Alyx look flat, Alyx was only really good in EP2, which was 2007.
The last time there was a new half life was 2007
that was 6 years ago.

aaaaaauuuuugh where has my life gone
Yeah Alyx was never a great character. I love the Half Life series but writing was never a strong suit of them.

I strongly disagree on so many levels. Writing is easily one of the stronger points with the HL2 series.
HL1 was the only one with subpar writing because it was 1999 and was doing the most generic story, lab experiment gone wrong, monsters, like every other popular FPS.

I wonder if [sp]there is another world[/sp] where we agree on anything about video games :v:

No, [sp]The constant would be you always have terrible opinions, the variables would be what games. There is always a Raidyr and his bad opinions :)[/sp]
i think i'm starting to realize something about Liz, but i'm not far enough into the game to know if i'm right and i don't want to post it and accidentally ruin it for myself if someone replies

Is a man not entitled to like video games? No says the man on Facepunch
