Depends where you are now and what difficulty.
This game had me going through out the whole thing. It's just exactly what it had to be. It's story was really really good, and what makes it better that the original bioshock is how that story is told, how it's delivered, and that's primarily through Elizabeth. There actually is not a character like Elizabeth in any game that I can think of, that is so human, and so believable. She blends into the world and really pulls you in to it more so than any other game. I really kind of felt the game almost suffered from the segments where she's pulled away from you for whatever reason because suddenly there's this gap in the game world both interactively and gameplay wise, and just sheer human element are missing. But it's a serious drive to get her the fuck back.
And this game, more than any game since Max Payne 3, made me feel the weight of killing so many and so often, I could really go into why MP3 did that so heavily, but Infinite did it better through elizabeth. [sp]The opening segments where her naivete about murder and death and the cost of her freedom brought some moments of something like regret.[/sp] I don't know if that is spoiler worthy but oh well.
[sp]One of the only things that bothered me with this other wise near perfect game, was that I called Booker being Elizabeths father from an hour or two in, and I was praying I was wrong the whole time.
It kind of seemed like she had to be his daughter in a way, there was something pushing Booker along throughout his adventure beyond just "Deliver the girl, pay the debt". He protected her with a fierce passion even from the beggining. Maybe I'm a big sap and felt that way about Bookers character throughout, but to me he seemed to involved in her to just be out for the debt. [/sp]
There's some serious weight to the narrative in this game and it's so evident to me now that a game that wants to tell a great story to people, is going to have to do it through a serious human connection. I just think about the way this game, or a game like Bastion or MP3 have an incredible way to tie you to those stories and it makes whatever they told, better than what it was because it ties you to it. I mean hell, most of us have played more games than we can actually remember, I think this is what we're all asking for these days from single player experiences that want to tell stories

[sp]I'm pretty sure that the baptism and split happened before Anna was born. In the beginning, Booker went to be baptized and washed away of what he did at Wounded Knee, not for giving away Anna. In the split where he decided to not get baptized, Anna was born. However, in the split where he was baptized and became Comstock, he never had a child and became sterile. This led him to reaching into the alternate reality where Anna was born so he could have a child.[/sp]
just entered the plaza [sp]with the handyman, after they shot down the elevator we were in[/sp]
they told me when liz changes clothes i'm roughly halfway through, and that happened pretty recently. also i'm on normal, i think.
that fucking handyman. half the rails go under a platform so if he electrocutes it, i get murdered. meanwhile there are enemies constantly spawning. it COMPLETELY ignores them but chases me everywhere, so i really have no options and die a shitty coward's death running for medpacks
Yeah, on hard this game takes a lot longer than 8 hours. Every big fight can be a serious struggle and if you're like me, and refuse to play on after dying and just restart to checkpoint to make sure you don't die for that same fight, it takes a while.
Great 15 hours though.

Kill the cannon fodder guys, then take pot shots at the handyman on the rails and when he electrocutes them he's pretty vulnurable aswell.
Crows distract him also.

handymen aren't that bad once you get the hang of them. Take a machine gun, or a hand cannon or even a carbine and just run away from him, he will jump, he will do everything he can to be faster than you, so just run. Once you have a bit of distance on him through wily movements and odd patterns around objects, get your shock out, hit him non stop and keep tearing into his heart with whatever gun.
Actually, that works on every hard enemy, just do that while they're vulnerable, hit the weak spot, and see the chunks of health that whittle away.
Also the best thing to do with the upgrade vials, is max out shields because they matter more than anything. They don't take long to recharge and when maxed out mean a lot of damage. It's a lot better than health for those reasons.
also change your clothing to a better setup if you're having troubles

[sp]I've never tried this, what happens?[/sp]
i'll figure out how to deal with him tomorrow i guess
please tell me they never make me fight more than one at once
also roughly how far in am I? give me a percentage
I'm getting close to the end now, and I feel a little disappointed with the guns/vigours. They just don't really feel that special or interesting. It feels like Bioshock had the best variety, especially since the weapons' appearence actually changed as you upgraded them. Upgrading guns in Infinite sort of felt like an afterthought on their part. Overall it's definitely a great game though, I guess Bioshock 1 will just always be one of my top favorite games.

You won't have to fight more than one "heavy hitter" at once, [sp]with the exception of the patriots[/sp]
Also you're maybe about 50-60%.

I will not say. Just do it, specially in the Blue Ribbon early in game.

Oh my god
It's official, the Lutece twins are my favourite side characters ever.

I myself thought their reaction to it was pretty funny.

"Woah. Yeah, Elizabeth, we should get out of here. But first I'm gonna eat a whole pineapple out of this trash can."
Also, I missed this on my first playthrough... It's really creepy.

It's in Battleship Bay up the "Employee Only" stairs in that gift shop where the employee asks "Do you not like the look of the Prophet? Or his gaze?"
"Gee Wilicers! I just fell from a skyline into a pool of water and almosted drowned."
"I BETTER EAT THIS COTTON CANDY I FOUND IN THE GARBAGE!"
my favorite part was eating the whole cake, platter and all.
I've begun my collection of Elizabeth's emotions and faces.
Here's my public imgur link with all my screenshots so far on ultra up to [sp]The First Lady Airship[/sp]
Later there are going to be more spoilerific photos, so I'd suggest not checking it out until you've finished the game.

Sounds about right.
[sp]Although I wasn't sure if the tears or Columbia came first. I personally felt that the tears were discovered on Columbia, but that's me.[/sp]
Doing another playthrough on the 1999 mode, the handymen are going to crush me ;_;
Concerning the health/shield/salts upgrades, does anybody recommend anything? So far I've been upgrading the shield only
I just had a thought. [sp]Is Rapture just one of the "doors" Elizabeth created with her fully realized power?[/sp]
Spoilers for Bioshock 1 below
[sp]That would help explain why Booker was able to activate the bathysphere without being related to Andrew in any way.[/sp]
