Don't they have this disclaimer on the homepage?
Ya because what he said in that question is exactly what he said to them in the meeting. /sarcasm
Yeah beacuse I'm not aware of that and you were reading my "analysis" to literally It's obvious by the fact how he's acting about it, the fact that he posted this on /v/, the fact that he's all "LoL I'm gunna leak info for revenge and cause I hate D3!" and the fact that he was fired tells a lot about someone's character. Read between the lines, it's pretty obvious that he probably acted close to this in-person to the dev team too, except obviously a bit more well mannered in his approach because it's not the internet. As someone who's helped on a relatively professionally ran mod for about a year an half, you have to really be a special person in the tester department to get fired, then going to the internet to brag about how you got fired because you said a game sucked to the dev team.
Don't they have this disclaimer on the homepage? [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5636656/4chan%20disclaimer.png[/img_thumb]
It does happen. Albeit rarely. [editline]14th April 2011[/editline] Also:
Coming to consoles? they are intending to port it to consoles when the expansion development begins
This is extremely believable, considering the latest developments.
According to the job listing, Blizzard is looking for a full-time senior producer for the Diablo 3 console team. "Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a highly organized individual with outstanding communications and project management skills for the Diablo team," the description reads. "The ideal candidate has prior experience in console game development and has a keen knowledge of how each discipline operates and interacts. Self-direction and follow-up skills are a must, as well as the ability to anticipate production issues and find effective solutions."
Sources before someone asks: http://www.tomshardware.com/news/Diablo-3-Consoles-Job-Listing-Senior-Producer-Action-RPG,12232.html (and it's not the only time something like this surfaced in the last year or so, there are like 3 more instances). If it is as the supposed dev/tester posting on /v/ said and Diablo 3 is meh (compared to D2 anyway) and it's due to Blizzard thinking they could make it better but failing, I'll forgive them. If it is due to them dumbing it down for an eventual console release, I'll rage so fucking hard.
Someone who claims to be a former Blizzard Internal Tester Fired...
Fixed the thread title for you
If I was an ex-tester, I would not release this kind of info on 4chan!
Blizzard hasn't made one single bad game in their entire career
Hahahahahaha
Okay so if this is true and D3 really is boring and a shit game compared to D2. Then something went majorly wrong with the series. Maybe the new team doesn't know shit about what Diablo is about, or maybe Blizzard is trying to compete with Torchlight even though it's a clone of Diablo in the first place. Either way, I don't believe this and won't until I see the game and compare the final product to these claims. [editline]14th April 2011[/editline]
Blizzard hasn't made one single bad game in their entire career so I'm going to take this with a microscopic grain of salt.
You'd actually be surprised. Though luckily for us, Blizzard is one of those companies that can learn from their mistakes. Go here, look at the games they failed to make (when they were told what to make) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blizzard_Entertainment
I'm believing it, I've been extremely dissapointed with Starcraft 2.
I'm believing it, I've been extremely dissapointed with Starcraft 2.
Really? I'm impressed with Starcraft 2 personally. The custom maps suck balls, but the campaign wasn't bad and the gameplay is solid. Still no Starcraft 1, but I can't say I was disappointed with the sequel.
-Never mind, I'm dumb-
[img_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/98/Wet_game.jpg[/img_thumb]
They didn't make that... [editline]14th April 2011[/editline] Hell it says on the picture "Bethesda"!
They didn't make that... [editline]14th April 2011[/editline] Hell it says on the picture "Bethesda"!
My mistake.

Go here, look at the games they failed to make (when they were told what to make) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blizzard_Entertainment
I've seen their past games, but I'm mostly talking about after they became Blizzard Entertainment. Except for that old Warcraft adventure game I see nothing bad. And I'm not counting the games that failed to be. Also, what's with the dumbs and disagrees? Oh wait, some people actually believe in their heart that WoW is their worst game ever.

I own a copy, but I don't actually play it. It's far too time consuming (and wallet breaking) for me.
there’s nothing in my contract that says I can’t reveal anything AFTER I’m fired.
I really doubt that any video game company, let alone one as big as Blizzard, would ever let this loophole slip past them.

It's not like it doesn't work on PC anymore, just that they cut out the things that would make porting it to consoles a hassle in the future.

That always works.
The way things are moving to be dumbed down and consolized in almost every genre, my expectations for this game have gone WAY down. Sorry, but I want potions. I want an open world. I'd take Diablo II with 2011 graphics. Sue me.
im not afraid, dumbass. like i said, my contract didnt say i couldnt disclose things after fired (i couldnt disclose while working for them)
I doubt this is real...
I know for a fact they won't fire you for speaking your mind about things. It's part of the job of being a QA tester. You find bugs, you make notes of them, you also submit your thoughts about game play and potential changes. The only way you can get fired from this job is to break the NDA, or not report on bugs and give them feed back, which would basically not be doing your job.
If this is true, then his next employer will see a big fat note on his resume saying he spills company secrets.
Any update on this? I kind of doubt the legitimacy now considering NDA's last until a product announcement, so if it is true then we might here of a response from Blizzard.

It's mostly about finding bugs in the code, testing for performance, or testing direct issues involving balance and gameplay. Some might give you a forum where you fill out your thoughts on certain mechanics or gameplay flow, but it's very rare for a company to involve their testers directly into design meetings to get feedback on the game itself.
What?
That the tester didn't really say "lol it piec of shit it gon fail :downs:". It was a "tl;dr" of what he said about Blizzard's game.
I believe it. The people were right about the leaked GH:SH setlist, which included an Iron Maiden song which at the time was absolutely insane.
So, you believe Blizzard would fire someone for being too honest?
I believe Blizzard would fire someone for acting like an asshole, if that's what he did.
I'm not surprised he hates it, there is not a game in existence that someone on /v/ cannot write an essay on how it is the worst game ever.
yeah i've played diablo 3 as well it's actually a racing car game now
Back to square one:
