Just Cause 2 uses DirectX10 - will not run on XP - Games

This discussion is starting to get stupid, performance wise, W7 and XP are about the same, if not better in W7 due to optimizations. If you play/run something designed to run W7, it will run as nicely or better if the same thing was also designed to run on XP. Your argument makes no sense, it's a problem on your back-end definitely . Also the other argument was about a software which couldn't run with firefox, and it happened to a lot of people, that's a software problem not an OS problem. You can't say that W7 sucks on your opinion based on these points, because they are lies, if you said you didn't like the overall look or interface, than that's an opinion.

Sad part; there's no real difference between DX9 and DX10 in terms of capabilities. Just one doesn't run on XP. :v: I say bugger it all, we should go back and revamp OpenGL.

There's still a lot of issues going from one OS to another and Virtual Windows XP can't solve everything with a simple handwave in many cases. I personally despise XP and Vista both, but ignoring the fact that many places still have a valid use for the former is ignorant in its own right. All of the gamers who don't do work on their computers and who don't need old software have no excuse, however, the businesses that revolve around older programs can't just instantly switch over without a giant hassle.
