[sp]Uhm it shows him on booker's side of the tear so actually yes he did.[/sp] [editline]2nd April 2013[/editline] What the fuck, what are you even talking about [sp]Andrew Ryan and Booker don't even exist in the same universe. Also it is clearly stated that in EVERY timeline the baptism is hwere he either becomes Comstock or does not.[/sp] [editline]2nd April 2013[/editline] Dude what the fuck are you even on about?
[sp]I am playing with the concepts shown in the game. It's fun. The "endless dimensions" idea doesn't stop with the Baptism as a central point. Another central point could be Booker surviving getting scalped in Wounded Knee, the hate for the Natives afterwards could make him an ethinic-cleansing-monster too. My point is that we have the impression that we stopped the catastrophe of Columbia but based on the multiple universe idea we didn't do Jack shit because we only saved the few hundred million - or five or six, that doesn't really matter when the possibilities are endless - universes where the Baptism makes Booker become Comestock.[/sp]
You really need to double check your [sp] tagging bro. [editline]2nd April 2013[/editline] There you go.
[sp]My point is that we have the impression that we stopped the catastrophe of Columbia but based on the multiple universe idea we didn't do Jack shit because we only saved the few hundred million - or five or six, that doesn't really matter when the possibilities are endless - universes where the Baptism makes Booker become Comestock.[/sp]
Two things, surviving being scalped is like near impossible and [sp]According to the game, and the omnipotent woman who can see all timelines. Every single timeline where booker becomes comstock and Columbia is created has ended. You are creating your own rules it would seem as the game clearly states this[/sp]
So the message that's in that piece of paper [sp]Old Elizabeth hands to you says: "I am a code: I should probably be changed over for something ---. More (ohiciac) in the (f)uture. But I(ll) do a(s) a stand(h)in for now I suppose."[/sp] The parts in parentheses I'm not 100% sure about.
[sp]Time travel games/films/books are always, always going to have these kinds of discussions, it's what's great about it. It's still really strange how two Bookers cross over in the same path with different things happening etc, it's really interesting to think about. Though this is all based on the ID Hypothesis it's still fucking great.[/sp]

When there are endless timelines, there CERTAINLY is one where Booker gets scalped, survives and gets a Comestock that reigns fire and terror upon the coloured Natives of the world and those who harbour them. It's a bit of a loophole in the games principle, no matter how many Comstocks you prevent happening, there will always be infinite other Comstocks happening. Maybe Booker gets scalped and creates and underGROUND Utopia.[/sp] Which leads me to a different thought: If there's a different Bioshock, what will its concept be? We have water and air. I'd imagine an underground Bioshock. It could run with the whole mining theme. Gems, Lava, all that Jazz. It's just that the higher concept of Infinite would leave any other concept of a Bioshock Utopia a little bit...stale.

[sp]It's also incredibly difficult to write another game unless you completely detach it from the current happenings with 1/Infinite, which kind of defeats the purpose. Also everyone in Bioshock has their own "lighthouse", which is really fucking cool.[/sp]
Also I don't think there will be another game.
Yeah I was thinking about space too but part of the Bioshock games charme is mixing old times with sci-fi concepts, 50's in rapture, 20's in Columbia. And the contrast, much like in Fallout, is what makes it interesting. This could be difficult for a space Bioshock.
I hope there isnt a game. It would lose all the mystique because now you know the formula. If we get another game with another city, it wont be as fantasitcal as BS and BS:I. There's no more mystery.
The games are going back in time by 50 years and up in elevation each pop, next Bioshock will be on the moon in 1860
When you actually think about it, there isn't a lot of room for a sequel, haha.
Not in the "dealing with philosophical concepts" way, but settings? Well space and earth.

I think one Bioshock could deal with Ethno-Pluralism, the new fascism.
Archaic? It'll?
it might be I'll because it says" I am" at the beginning.

When[sp]Elizabeth says something like "That man you just fought, in the other world he was strung up on the wall."[/sp]Could someone post a picture of that? I never noticed it and I can't go back to check.
[sp]You should really make that say Elizabeth's power[/sp] [editline]2nd April 2013[/editline] Name one.
[sp]The note on the lighthouse. The guy in the lighthouse. How killing dewit will kill cumstock (Becuase cumstock is "created" in another timeline).[/sp] I can name a couple more
[sp]Isn't he the guy on the wall right when you enter? That's what I had assumed.[/sp]
[sp]Yeah, he's strung up high with a sign saying "SACKED" on him[/sp]
[sp]The note on the lighthouse. The guy in the lighthouse. How killing dewit will kill cumstock (Becuase cumstock is "created" in another timeline). I can name a couple more[/sp]
Oi! Spoilers! Now then: [sp]The note on the lighthouse as well as the dead guy were planted by the Lucettes as a means of giving Booker motivation to complete the task he was given. And killing Booker at the exact moment he becomes Comstock ensures that Comstock can never exist. You're effectively wiping out any possible timeline that has Comstock in it.[/sp] Name more. I guarantee we can explain them.
I think that a space-themed Bioshock seems interesting and doable. They could base it around the Space Race. Tons of cool Cold War elements, Russia, vodka, who knows? Space bears? Go crazy.
[sp]The note in the lighthouse was placed by the Luteces, the body is another Dewitt I'm pretty sure[/sp] [sp]All of the timelines branch off from that single event, so the effect spreads to all other timelines even though Booker refuses the baptism in only that one event.[/sp]
