Some more screens. [t]http://i.minus.com/i5waDMXTH4wI0.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.minus.com/ibvDwoV3fLSZGp.jpg[/t]
So how are you getting some of those shots? Is there some kind of way to do the equivalent of noclip that I'm unaware of?
Here's some things I only noticed on my second playthrough. There is a lit cigarette next to the lighthouse keeper [t]http://i.imgur.com/Zf3vGEf.jpg[/t] The cash registers have unnecessarily good textures. [t]http://i.imgur.com/qDw04bo.jpg[/t] Someone in Columbia really hates seagulls. [t]http://i.imgur.com/9v0o4ZK.jpg[/t]
There also is a little teaparty scene [sp]with a doll and a smoking cigarette next to some goggles[/sp] at the Dimwit shop above the beach. [sp] It gives off quite the "creepy guy who plays with dolls and watches people from a safe distance" vibe.[/sp]
I also did a post-processing comparison. Normal [t]http://i.imgur.com/pP6lYdr.jpg[/t] Alternate [t]http://i.imgur.com/DwY93Uv.jpg[/t] I preferred alternate at first but then I noticed a DOF effect that really distracted me. I forgot to make a comparison of it.
Does anyone agree that [sp]Lady Comstock's Ghost[/sp] was the worst part of the game?
[sp]Now that I think about it, Fink is the one who really causes the destruction of Columbia, the death of Comstock and letting you get your daughter back in an alternate reality, since he tells the guards to kill you, causing you to go on a rampage. [/sp] So really we have to "fank" Fink.
Does anyone agree that [sp]Lady Comstock's Ghost[/sp] was the worst part of the game?
Or the [sp]Airship fight, then again I kept getting pissed off at the rocket guys[/sp]
[t]http://i.imgur.com/HNbjEbO.jpg[/t] forget all the racism, they called a woman a bitch
Or the [sp]Airship fight, then again I kept getting pissed off at the rocket guys[/sp]
[sp]I actually liked it a bit because I could learn from each time, eventually I found the best tactic was to wipe out everyone ignoring the patriots, kill one, grab the spinnygun and shock the other while unloading on it, grab the ammo and repeat again for the next wave.[/sp]
I just kept shocking and shocking in the last fight. Upgraded with the chainshock of course.
If you run out of money in 1999 money do you lose your save?
If you run out of money in 1999 money do you lose your save?
You just get sent to the Main Menu i'm pretty sure.
If you run out of money in 1999 money do you lose your save?
it loads the latest checkpoint
Here's some things I only noticed on my second playthrough. The cash registers have unnecessarily good textures. [t]http://i.imgur.com/qDw04bo.jpg[/t]
I just realized the register is close to displaying 0451.
I also did a post-processing comparison. Gentlemen
So, just finished watching all the audio logs. While there were plenty I missed [sp](mainly Comstock House, I knew I skipped through it quickly[/sp]), I didn't hear any that mentioned [sp]Vigors or how Fink discovered/created them. All I could find was a passing reference to a biologist in the second message to Fink's brother.[/sp] Other than that, though, I'm glad there were people to record all of them.
Or the [sp]Airship fight, then again I kept getting pissed off at the rocket guys[/sp]
Spam Shock Jockey traps beforehand. There are tons of bottles of +100 salts to restock you and allow you to continue trapping everything. Most of them you can pick off before they can fire a shot if you put enough traps around. Even the Patriots get stunned. Worked wonders for me. On 1999 mode with this trick, I finished up without dying and with [sp]more than 3/4 of the engine generator whatever thing you were protecting's health left.[/sp]
Gentlemen
Hearing that song in-game was such a great moment for me. It's up there as one of my personal favorite classical songs.
Gentlemen
It's so creepy when Lady Comstock hums that tune.
Does anyone agree that [sp]Lady Comstock's Ghost[/sp] was the worst part of the game?
[sp]Lady Comstock's ghost[/sp] can fuck herself with the business end of a lochaber. As can the [sp]Vox at the end of the game.[/sp] Also, has that Siege of Columbia board game came out yet? sorry for not spoilering.
[sp]You know that part when the game goes absolutely fucking bonkers on you and you need to get to Elizabeth? When you're standing in front of that display and turn around and there's a fucking boy of silence right behind you. The boy of silence didn't scare me much, the fucking electronic low-toned gurgling is what got to me, it made me KNOW that some shit was going to happen once I turned around.[/sp] This part.

MAKE BIG SAVINGS AT THE CIRCUS OF VAAALUUUEEE I can't get that out of my fucking head
Okay I just beat the game, the last, 30 mins of the game was indeed a journey.
MAKE BIG SAVINGS AT THE CIRCUS OF VAAALUUUEEE I can't get that out of my fucking head
Whenever I heard the vending machines in Bioshock 1 I always thought they were saying "Kill your friends at the circus of values" as opposed to "tell your friends about". Hearing the new vending machines was like encountering an old nemesis.
Just came across this scene in my 1999 playthrough, honestly not sure how I missed it my first time around. I don't know why but it just seems really neat to me. [editline]2nd April 2013[/editline] Fuck I just realized he has a voxaphone in his hand!
Those guys are actually [sp] pacifists after reading some cards later on, which is why they're so reluctant to fight you.[/sp]

But fuck him as an enemy, better on the ground like that.
It's interesting that his heart is still glowing, usually their hearts explode when you kill them.
