Is this game worth the $60? or should I wait till a sale drops and see if I can get it for lower?
IT is worth it but you can try a CD key site if you do not feel like paying the full price.
Just beat it.... holy balls. been reading a bunch of wikis and explanations and i'm still confused.

At about :54 is the discussed sound (again)[sp]It just sounds like his normal screech and not his death[/sp]
Just beat the [sp]first Lady Comstock fight[/sp] on 1999 mode without dying once. I feel so awesome.
The trick is to [sp]use Undertow on the spirits she starts raising, as soon as she starts raising them. Before they can fire a shot, pull them in, then zap them with Shock Jockey. Electricity will take care of the rest and leave naught but ash, unraisable.[/sp]

I don't hear anything, bullshit sensors gone off

Listen closely, there is for sure a sound resembling it. It is most likely a coincidence though.
I don't hear anything, bullshit sensors gone off
It's incredibly quiet, but it's there, just listen harder.
I might be deaf, I hear heavy breathing, but I assume that's Jack not songbird. I don't hear anything significant.

It's subtle.
I feel so stupid I honestly can't hear anything lol
can somebody post the image of a fat booker eating cotton candy with a hotdog in his other hand.
My friend keeps telling me that this game would be better if it had mod tools/SDK.
Do you guys agree with him or no, and why?

Sounds like ambience to me.

I feel most games can benefit from modding tools.
I didn't really enjoy the vigors in this game, the introduction sequences were really well done but the vigors themselves were pretty boring.
I vote ambience or echoes from Sander talking.
Still, lets all pretend we hear Songbird cause how badass would that be.
Since people were discussing not that long ago, why[sp]Elizabeth didn't go straight to Paris, I just got to this part in my second playthrough and figured it was relevant.[/sp]

It is ambient sound, like I said probably a reused sound file or a coincidence.

[sp]The siphon also straight up prevented her from going[/sp]

[sp]It's pretty much just the sound of steam pipes, which sounds pretty damn similar to Songbirds dying screams, and no one here actually thinks it is Songbird, were just commenting on the similarities of the sound.[/sp]
So, has anyone here gotten the Heartbreaker achievement? I'm trying to think of the best way to shoot only a Handyman's heart without missing once, sounds impossible to me.
I got it.
I have no idea how.
Put that in spoilers, that is literally revealed at the end of the game.
Tis cool, we all slip up with this game considering how much crazy shit exactly goes on.
That whole Bioshock 1 Fitzpatrick thing? I can hear the songbird screech clearly.
You can hear it much more clearly in this video, just around 00:14

Might take a decent pair of headphones/sound setup to hear, as a lot of people have been saying they outright can't hear anything, never mind a screech that sounds exactly like songbirds.
Also begs the question why IGN put up a video of this exact moment years after the release of the original, as is said in the top comments of the video I just linked.
Far fetched but entirely plausible, quite amazing point:
[sp]It's been uploaded a year ago, the developers could have made a patch or update just to include this as of last year in the original game knowing that Infinite was almost complete. Therefore, it's plausible to assume it's the Songbird's calling during his death, just as nothing else in bioshock would make such sounds...[/sp]
