My big game hunter achievement is fucking glitched.
It went up to 99 kills (showed the progress) and now will not go to 100, despite the fact that I've been exclusively using the Carbine for this whole mission.
FFS, trying to 1000 this one cause I got the first one 1000'd this is hard if it's glitched
And Fortunate Son didn't come into being until the Vietnam war.
let's just say "Tear" and be done with it.
????
Booker or Elizabeth says[sp]I don't think anyone's heard it before.[/sp]
Where it shows most is the [sp]This still remains in what you are porting and how it looks, the turrets barely built, the hooks all being from the time the buildings were built.[/sp]

Also what the fuck is the Songbird? What's its backstory? I feel like this could be explained much much much much better, the tower design didn't account for it AT ALL.
that makes way more sense than [sp]alternate dimensions where they just exist in those locations for some random reason[/sp] doesn't explain why [sp]turrets are friendly to you and aggressive to everyone else.[/sp]
I think the [sp]time travel was hinted at pretty well when you got ported to 'winter in july', then found out it was 1984 or whatever, but yeah I think the actual narrative of the game for the most part just explained tears as boarding another ship that's floating alongside you at the same time[/sp]
Kinda unrelated but I bought a DC shirt on Monday and it looks like this:

Reminded me totally about Vox Populi.

Because of [sp]timelines. The songs "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" and "Fortunate Son" were brought back by Fink to make a buck, I think.[/sp]

Yes I know, it seemed like he was trying to say that it didn't make sense for it to be there.

When you say the first one, what do you mean?
Is there a way to view kill stats and such?
My immersion just got fucking SHATTERED.
In the [sp]Shantytown[/sp] there's a sign that says "FIFTH COLUMNIST"
The term Fifth Columnist hadn't been coined until the Spanish Civil War that took place over 20 years later.
I just wanna say in relation to timeline, [sp]is it REALLY 1912 when you're in Columbia, or does booker only think he's in '12 because that's where he's from and he doesn't know of the time jumps? (I'm aware signage shows it's '12 but let's go into hypotheticals). This would explain why Comstock is notably older (instead of saying Comstock is just older from abusing tears, which is still plausible). It would also explain why Elizabeth doesn't look like a skeleton in 1984, she'd be maybe 90 by that time and looked no more than 70 at worst to me.
So, when was the exchange of Anna? When was she born, because I could swear that room was the 'current' 1912 when he started his adventure to get her back. If that were the case (stop me if I missed her age/birthdate/whatever), you could assume that you're maybe in the year 1936 (origin of the 'fifth column' ideal), placing Elizabeth at age 24 during the game, and age 72 when in New York. The themes and culture in Columbia could have remained stagnant like it's still 1912 because they shut out outside influence for the most part.[/sp]
Jesus fucking christ I'd like to meet the fucker who thought the final gunship battle was a good idea and punch him in the fucking chin.
Seriously, on 1999, this is Dante Must Die level shit.
The only weapons I upgraded were the Carbine and Machine Gun, as well as the Shotgun, as those were the most common.
GUESS I SHOULD GET VOX GUNS AND VOLLEY GUNS
At least I have a Carbine on me, jesus fuck.
[sp]Songbird[/sp] takes WAY too fucking long to cool down for some inane reason and the Armored Vox are such bullshit. They all clump up and attack the moth light.
Armored Patriots are FINE by themselves but when there is 2 of them along with a zeppelin and countless vox with RPG'S?
This is one of the worst fucking sequences in a game ever jesus christ.
This would be FINE if they checkpointed too.
It's infuriating getting to the third level of Zeppelins only to run out of ammo and have to start all the way over. It kills the momentum and fucks the pacing of what should be a dramatic ending.
This game is great but holy fuck I LOATHE this fucking sequence

[sp] Well if we go with alternate dimensions there is no reason not to think of a universe where the hubble constant is really really really slightly behind so time sorta moves really really really slightly slower compared to the one we are in.
That way we can expalin all the time rips.[/sp]

Fully upgraded electro spamming mixed with the one where you let enemies fight for you maybe?

I was dreading the final battle on 1999 but it was easy as hell
gotta be honest I don't like gun upgrades cost something
in the first bioshock you got upgrades for exploring, it was fun, it was fair.
I know it doesn't quite fit now that we can only hold 2 guns but lezbehonest that's bullshit too
It's funny, they casualized this one to appeal to brogamers and most brogamers I know couldn't give a shit about Bioshock
The one reason I don't like tears is cause they kind of just become universal plothole fillins
Why's that song there? Tears.
Why's [sp]Comstock old?[/sp] TEARS.
Why are there vigors that shoot crows? [sp]TEARS AND SPACE MAGIC[/sp]
[sp]Comstock is old because of exposure to the Lutece's machine, not simply because "tears"[/sp]
[sp]Comstock is old because of exposure to the Lutece's machine, not simplly because "tears"[/sp]
That's pretty much the same answer. You might as well say a Wizard did it.
This one just feels too magical for me.
It's still good, a definite 8/10 though

Kinda. It doesn't say exactly how it happened but it was a better explanation than just saying it was [sp]tears.[/sp]

[sp]Well everything goes into a bit more detail than just "TEARS!!!!!"
The songs are there because Fink wanted to make money, and taking songs from the future wasn't a terrible idea.
Comstock's old because of reasons only somewhat related to tears.
The vigors are just modified plasmids, taken through tears.
Tears are only the gateway to various things in Columbia.[/sp]
I find my opinion of Infinite changes depending on where I am.
Anywhere in the game? 8/10 it's okay
Siren fight? 4/10 I hate this omg
Zeppelin sequence at the end? 0/10 DLC CANCER FUCK THIS GAY EARTH
Well guys, I'm off to Uni, but I want to know you guys: What were/are the weapons you used and the [del]plasmids[/del] tonics? I used the Carbine/Shotgun and Shock Jockey/Murder of Crows.

You're looking too deeply into this. They're just neat, little plot devices to help cement the central narrative and if you over think them then of course they'll look rubbish.
read my above post for half of my explanation of wizard-did-it comstockery. on the other hand- [sp]he could very well be old because of tears. What if he stepped through tears to other universes to continue doing something there, then stepped back to the time he first jumped over. He'd personally live out all the time, but the real-world just lost X days/months/years from him, like he walked outside and came back way older.[/sp]
Well, you changed your post mid-reply so whatever.
think I'm on my 5th try for the Zeppelin now, actually.
The fun part is the more you die the more frustrated you are, and the easier it is for you to die.

it took me 5 tries my first playthrough on hard for the ending zep
finished it my first try on 1999, only upgraded the pistol and got the possession on humans vigor
you need to play better and be aware of what's going on around you, by the way there are skylines, I never knew they were there on my first playthrough.
what gear are you using?
also your hands start to sweat and you realize you gettin' mad at video games and suddenly all you want to do is drive your fist through something but instead you just bury your face in the couch and make angry sounds that can't decide if they're a swear or not like "FUGBAR" or "DAYGUNT"

Sounds like you need a chill pill.
try and save [sp]songbird[/sp] for the Zepplins as soon as they appear, the fight is over once you've downed all 3
I heard someone on Reddit suggest that on 1999 mode, you [sp]use Songbird to kill the smaller enemies first, because the cooldown scales with the enemy type, and take down the zeppelin thingies yourself.[/sp]

[sp]I thought though once you stepped through a tear into an alternate reality it was impossible to get back? At least that is what Elizabeth said but maybe that is only because she didn't understand the full extant of her powers yet[/sp]

You can't take them down yourself though, Unless you mean the smaller ones.

You shouldn't need [sp]songbird[/sp] to kill any enemies, and the barges can be ignored.

I don't know why you're saying it's casualized when you bitch about nearly every enemy you fight.
