in general I exclusively go to /v/ to talk games
with anonymous posting there'sno established rep so everyone's opinion is valid
no mod dicksucking
just pure unfiltered hatred
and I wouldn't have it any other way
hahahahahaha
go back to 4chan.
I mean why buy a cake when you can just steal one out of the pants of a dude you shot.
uh oh automerge
Wow. The [sp]final battle on the Hand of the Prophet[/sp] is an absolute easy load of piss if you spam Shock Jockey traps everywhere. I beat it with [sp]over 3/4 of the airship's core still intact.[/sp] And, again, on 1999 mode.
Once again, the end has given me chills. I think I'll take a break from this game for a while, then jump right back into it. I could definitely see this being a game I could nearly endlessly replay without getting too bored.
/v/ crazy hates this game because they changed Elizabeth's bust size
So am I right in thinking [sp]Comstock was erased and Booker wasn't because the fact that Booker didn't accept the baptism means that he was never in a position to be drowned?[/sp]

Yes
And yay I got the achievement for beating the game on 1999 without using the vending machines. I think I had like, $800 to spare, too.
Welp, that was fun. Gonna have to do it again some time.
Yes
Ah I only just realised how that worked. I was a bit confused by the post-credits sequence, but now I get it.
That game was absolutely incredible. Best game I've played for maybe 5 or 6 years. One of the best I've ever played.
Although I have to say, combat sometimes got a little bit tedious when they took the skyrail away. I loved that thing.
Holy fuck, [sp]At the end when I walked through that tear and ended up in Rapture... I almost died of excitement [/sp]
/v/ crazy hates this game because they changed Elizabeth's bust size
v is notoriously bad because the whole of 4chan is filled with basement dwelling morons
not all of 4chan is bad
/v/ sucks shit though
not all of 4chan is bad
sorry but it is. no more 4chan talk
Having a glitch in 1999 mode where when I try to do the shotgun shooting gallery the prize will never rise up at the end and I get stuck at the machine and have to load a checkpoint. Kinda suck cus it's easy money early on that I cant get.
sorry but it is. no more 4chan talk
lol ok rusty
Hey guys, here's a reverse spoiler pic (compression by steam):

[sp]Look at the age, when it starts.[/sp]
I got through that big battle just after [sp]Fink gets his brains splattered across the window[/sp] and a single dude got stuck inside the tower. I cant kill him and the story cant progress and I need to restart.
Fuck.
Damn I'm late.
Just realised, on my second playthrough that [sp] after the coin toss, when the Luteces talk about how the experiment will be a failure regardless, they're talking about previous attempts to set things right with other Bookers.
Hundreds of Bookers died to rescue Elizabeth, the tallies of the heads on the board are just the ones that made it that far.
Also, the Lutece's brought in more Bookers after he disappears into the tear outside Comstock House. "He's tried to break in several times"
Additionally, the bit about struggling to create memories, at the start off the game and on the alt cover, is talking about Booker the whole time
[/sp]
So Im not terribly far into infinite, but one thing is irking me and I'm really curious if they pop up again, are the man and woman who do the coin flip thing significant? Like, is that explained at some point?

I wish I could go through what you're going through right now.

The answer is yes. God, yes.
Okay back to not reading the thread
Okay back to not reading the thread
That's probably a good thing. I almost spoiled the game for myself so many times by absent mindedly clicking spoiler tags, reading one word and then wildly pressing the back button.
Luckily I didn't actually spoil it at all.

Let's just say that you should be sure to pay attention and find what Voxaphones you can.

Fuck, ninja'd.
Holy shit, so when I woke up this morning I realised that Elizabeth vaguely shares the same origin as [sp]Fringe's Peter Bishop. While I wouldn't call myself a hardcore fan I did note that both Elizabeth and Peter have been taken away from their real father by their father from a parallel universe.[/sp]
Geez. It took me so damn long to compensate the ending. I couldn't sleep for hours
One of my first gear pieces on my 1999 run. Yay.

Also could anyone explain to me why[sp]the couple rewards you when you pick the other option, when neither of the options hit and make a difference anyway?[/sp]
Also could anyone explain to me why[sp]the couple rewards you when you pick the other option, when neither of the options hit and make a difference anyway?[/sp]
[sp]Because you weren't going to throw the ball at them, and the confusion you caused afterwards let them slip away.[/sp]
when asked to choose between the bird and cage, does either choice actually do anything?
when asked to choose between the bird and cage, does either choice actually do anything?
[sp]Nope.[/sp]

i cant decide whether to use this, or the hat that grants you super speed on shield breakage.
when asked to choose between the bird and cage, does either choice actually do anything?
Yeah it determines whether or not Elizabeth puts a bird or a cage broach on her neck.
[sp]Because you weren't going to throw the ball at them, and the confusion you caused afterwards let them slip away.[/sp]
[sp]Kind of annoys me that they only reward you if you try throwing the ball at the announcer. I let the timer run out on my first playthrough because I didn't know what to choose or what would happen, and Booker just goes, "I'm not gonna throw it." Considering neither option lets you actually throw either, kinda irks me.[/sp]
