i cant decide whether to use this, or the hat that grants you super speed on shield breakage.
why do I never find gear like this
why do I never find gear like this
You get sheltered life if you don't throw the ball at the irish guy and the black chick You racist
Well, I just finished. I know my science fiction and
goddamn
that could've been in fucking literature. I love how when you start the game you're up in a floating paradise which does seem like an analogue of heaven, but [sp]by near the end you're in a frozen hellhole getting chased by hordes of abominations while New York is being invaded, and then everything practically falls apart into a complicated talky explaining the premise of the game while systematically shattering the fourth wall into a trillion little shards.[/sp] [editline]2nd April 2013[/editline] This is one of those gems that proves that games can be as meaningful as all other contemporary art. I mean, just, holy fuck. This game.
[sp]Because you weren't going to throw the ball at them, and the confusion you caused afterwards let them slip away.[/sp]
[sp]But regardless of your decision you are caught before throwing and everything happens the same.[/sp] [editline]1st April 2013[/editline]
You get sheltered life if you don't throw the ball at the irish guy and the black chick You racist
To be fair I had to restart from a checkpoint and it gave me another lesser one, so I kept restarting until I got it again to keep it the same as before. [editline]1st April 2013[/editline]
i cant decide whether to use this, or the hat that grants you super speed on shield breakage.
Is the one you're talking about a random chance because I never saw it once in my first playthrough? I personally would imagine it's better since you always will proc the invulnerability when you're being attacked, as opposed to getting invulnerability sometimes in combat and other times when it isn't needed.
[sp]The song you hear at the very beginning while walking through the religious center is the single biggest spoiler in the entire goddamn game. It's amazing.[/sp]
why do I never find gear like this
I once got that vampire thing where you get health for melee kills. I got so excited it caused my game to crash, so I had to restart from a checkpoint. Useless to say I lost that item and was instead rewarded with another item. A (to me) useless one.
You get sheltered life if you don't throw the ball at the irish guy and the black chick You racist
But I did that on both playthroughs and I've never found sheltered life. [sp]Unless that was a joke[/sp]
Do what I did. :D Feels more natural to me to have what I originally did and kept the same "path".
Didn't work out for me, sadly. I tried it a couple of times.
Didn't work out for me, sadly. I tried it a couple of times.
Took me like 10< tries, I think. Haha. I wasn't giving up.

Anyway, a game designed by Hideo Kojima and Ken Levine will be my new personal nightmare. Headaches forever.

So I literally just finished the game. My..I don't...I think it's time to go to bed. I don't even. This is probably the best game I've ever played.
I got through that big battle just after [sp]Fink gets his brains splattered across the window[/sp] and a single dude got stuck inside the tower.
I've got exactly the same bug. You just need to kill yourself and enemies positions will reset.
I did that. He vanished from the area and it never continued.
[sp]Nope.[/sp]
That's disappointing.
Dunno if it's intentional, but this is in the lighthouse at the start [t]http://i45.tinypic.com/28mh7qg.jpg[/t] Could just be a default model, I thought it was neat though [sp]"Paris and its environs" if you can't read it[/sp]
Cable and Hope sorta remind me of Booker and Elizabeth.
If you passed the Blue Ribbon (where you get the shield), you missed the rewards.
no they are automatically given to you past that point
I just finished and needless to say, it was some really good writing and execution, not heaven, but the closest I've ever been to it I just started 1999 run and when I reached the part where Booker [sp]cries, "Annaaa Annaaa" deliriously, and Elizabeth was on Battleship Bay replying, "No, I'm Elizabeth" I kinda felt sad because it was really the only time where Booker has father-daughter time with his long lost Anna before everything becomes a pain session where Elizabeth endures suffering on multiple levels including killing someone and having her heart torn apart[/sp] It's kinda funny because throughout the story, Elizabeth [sp]seems to get more jaded and less colorful and alive as she was on Battleship Bay and that sorta tugged on my heartstrings slightly[/sp] Now that's some good character development though, I'll hand the devs that
The best gear I think really is the pants that double shield regen and reduce the delay for it regenerating
Another is the gear that gives an electric shock if you land major damage. If you headshot with any weapon you get free chain lightning to everyone around them.

On a story-based note, [sp]when the door opened up to all of the lighthouses, and Elizabeth began to explain, it dawned on me why the game is subtitled "Infinite." Holy shit, my mind was blown.[/sp]
I exploited the hell out of the one that gave you invulnerability when jumping from rails, and the one that dealt fire damage when you did the dive attack.

I noticed that I couldn't move, so I thought "I guess it is probably the Luteces again or something." I yelped to be honest.[/sp]
