[sp]What was the business with the AD on Booker's hand? That's the only thing I never understood.[/sp]
[sp]Stands for anna dewitt, he scarred himself with it after he traded away anna.[/sp]
[sp]What was the business with the AD on Booker's hand? That's the only thing I never understood.[/sp]
[sp]I believe it was a tattoo, AD stands for Anne Dewitt, or atleast that's what I've read[/sp]
[sp]Stands for anna dewitt, he scarred himself with it after he traded away anna.[/sp]
[sp]Then why did Comstock make up the whole "false shepard" story? Was it to protect Columbia/Elizabeth from Booker?[/sp]
[sp] No she really isnt [/sp]
[sp]Okay then I guess she's Andrew Ryan and Booker a little sister[/sp]
[sp]Then why did Comstock make up the whole "false shepard" story? Was it to protect Columbia/Elizabeth from Booker?[/sp]
[sp]He wanted Elizabeth to take over his place as prophet, and Booker ruins that[/sp]
I think if they wanted to make 1999 mode more authentic, they'd allow you to carry more weapons, as well as save when you want. That'd be interesting. Of course, then it would be the only mode anyone plays.
[sp]booker is columbia columbia is rapture rapture is andrew ryan andrew ryan is elizabeth booker is elizabeth elizabeth is tree[/sp]
My god, it makes sense now!
[sp]It is gut wrenching hearing Elizabeth getting tortured after she gets captured by song bird again. "Please stop please Ill be your daughter Please!" I did not notice that she said that in the first play through.[/sp]
[sp]No DeWitt, you are the Comstocks[/sp]
Why can't I play as Elizabeth and have to be generic action protagonist dude or whatever? (has not actually played the game, just seen two adverts)
You havent played and are already bashing Booker.
[sp]It is gut wrenching hearing Elizabeth getting tortured after she gets captured by song bird again. "Please stop please Ill be your daughter Please!" I did not notice that she said that in the first play through.[/sp]
Yeah that was terrible. I hated that part. And you know the worst thing? It's that [sp]you actually failed to reach to the Elizabeth that you hear yelling and getting tortured inside the tears.[/sp]
Yeah that was terrible. I hated that part. And you know the worst thing? It's that [sp]you actually failed to reach to the Elizabeth that you hear yelling and getting tortured inside the tears.[/sp]
And what's worse than that is [sp]we see firsthand what happens to her. We see her get corrupted, twisted by her father into a monster. What appears as an hour to us is a lifetime of agony, betrayal, and destruction for her.[/sp] tl;dr :(
[sp]Fink developed the vigors after seeing plasmids being used in Rapture through a tear. It's in a voxaphone recording somewhere in the factory. Also in case no one noticed, when I was playing through and heard about Albert Fink (the dude that presented his version of "God only knows" with the quartet dudes) there's a voxaphone in the place where he died (don't remember exactly where now, somewhere in the factory) and on it he explains that he got the inspiration for "his" music from the future and that he reworked songs like God only knows to fit his style and then put them out as his own. At one point there, you come across a record that is produced by "Rapture Records".[/sp]
Must have skipped over that stuff, I'll have to look for it again during my 1999 mode playthrough I just started. I mean I found the tape that said that [sp]Fink found the blueprints for the songbird in a tear, not sure if that is the same one or not[/sp]
This game is fucking fantastic
[sp]How did Comstock know he scarred AD on his hand, when he did that after Anna was sold?[/sp]
[sp]Comstock looked through the tears a lot for his 'prophecy', using the Lucete's machine.[/sp]
[sp]How did Comstock know he scarred AD on his hand, when he did that after Anna was sold?[/sp]
[sp]Because he could continue to see Booker through a tear, and he knew that Booker would eventually come after him.[/sp]
By the way, does anyone know why [sp]it turns into winter after crossing the bridge? My memories are already getting fuzzy. Did Elizabeth create that tear, or was she captured by the songbird?[/sp]
I also quite like how Elizabeth's character changed a lot during the game. [sp] From a happy innocent girl, to a more dark and serious one later.. When she killed Daisy and changed her dress, it was like she changed as well, a new her [/sp]
Because all Elizabeth does is run around, throw you stuff and open locks.
Not if she was the protagonist. [editline]30th March 2013[/editline]
You havent played and are already bashing Booker.
Yup
[sp]Because he could continue to see Booker through a tear, and he knew that Booker would eventually come after him.[/sp]
[sp]So what, they opened a tear near him and they looked through and saw the AD on his hand? Was he sleeping during that time, as you'd think he would notice.[/sp]
By the way, does anyone know why [sp]it turns into winter after crossing the bridge? My memories are already getting fuzzy. Did Elizabeth create that tear, or was she captured by the songbird?[/sp]
[sp]The old Elizabeth you meet at the end of the level tells you she brought you in through a tear, I think.[/sp]
[sp]So what, they opened a tear near him and they looked through and saw the AD on his hand? Was he sleeping during that time, as you'd think he would notice.[/sp]
[sp]I think the Lucete's might have kept an eye on him; they can be quite the sneaky bunch.[/sp]
Could somebody explain the [sp]Columbian airships attacking New York in 1984[/sp]
[sp]I think the Lucete's might have kept an eye on him; they can be quite the sneaky bunch.[/sp]
[sp]Didn't they first notice it when they were carrying Booker to the boat after going through their tear? Though I can't recall what they say about it exactly.[/sp]
[sp]Okay then I guess she's Andrew Ryan and Booker a little sister[/sp]
[sp]comstock is anya andersdotter[/sp]
Not if she was the protagonist.
Yeah and it would've been more interesting to play Alyx in HL2 and sidekicks in other games, but the stories their creators told would've been ruined. Booker's role works just fine anyway. He's an ordinary man caught up in extraordinary events.
[sp]The old Elizabeth you meet at the end of the level tells you she brought you in through a tear, I think.[/sp]
[sp]I'm fairly sure it was the Lutece's who brought you through, not Elizabeth, so as to give you a chance at redemption.[/sp]
[Sp] The only unplausible thing about it is that the tech should have surpassed that of zeppelins and cannons. Jets and tanks should have easily dispatched of the entire fleet before they destry the entire city. [/Sp]
[sp]The old Elizabeth you meet at the end of the level tells you she brought you in through a tear, I think.[/sp]
[sp]Actually, you go through a tear that is 6 months ahead of where you originally were. And then you are brought through another tear that old Elizabeth created that shows the bombing of New York.[/sp]
