So did anyone actually manage to piece together everything in the ending, or did it take another go to get it? Yes spoilers: the ending is awesome but it takes you a while to figure out. [sp]I sort of understood it. Booker and Comstock are the same person. I was mostly just staring dumbstruck as the credits were rolling. At first I thought the ending was sad. Then the post-credits scene came up: not so sad ending! Then I realize the Elizabeth we fought with is dead and erased forever. Sad ending again :([/sp]
http://uk.ign.com/wikis/bioshock-infinite/The_Ending_-_An_Explanation of course, incredible spoilers
[sp]who gave you the letter at the beginning? the one with the "dont take the number 77" Lutece brothers? [/sp]
[sp]Yep, you can see it's signed with "Lutece".[/sp]
http://uk.ign.com/wikis/bioshock-infinite/The_Ending_-_An_Explanation of course, incredible spoilers
[sp]"It should also be noted that early in the game, when the Luteces had Booker flip a coin, Robert carried a chalkboard with heads marked many times. Booker picks heads, it lands on tails, but Rosalind marks heads on the chalkboard anyway. This is because they aren't tracking the results of the coin flip, but the choice Booker makes. " This right here is bullshit. On my second playthrough Booker picked tails and they marked heads. Good job IGN.[/sp] And whoever wrote that needs to use spell check. [editline]d[/editline] I took the liberty to go ahead and create an account to edit that ending explanation, so now it says [sp]that Booker will either say heads or tails, but it will always land on heads[/sp]
So I'm playing through it again, but one thing that still eludes my understanding is [sp]at the little carnival bit after you first get Elizabeth, you run into someone named Esther who calls Elizabeth Annabelle. Obviously by now I already know that Anna and Elizabeth are the same person, but what I don't understand is who this woman Esther is and how she would know someone who looks like Elizabeth called Anna.[/sp]

Esther and a bunch of Comstock's men were set up waiting for Booker and Elizabeth. I'm pretty sure she was asking to ensure that it was them. I think the Annabelle part was just foreshadowing.[/sp]

This pretty much solidified the Bioshock series as my favorite series.
[sp]Wasn't it Rosalind Lutece?[/sp]
[sp]One does not simply kill who has been killed[/sp]

Just picked up an audio log from her detailing pretty much that. Dunno how I missed it before, sitting glaringly obvious on a desk. Thanks for clearing that up.

She tricks Elizabeth by saying her real name. [/sp]
[sp]Where did that baptizer go when Booker allowed the Elizabeths to drown him?[/sp]
[sp]Where did that baptizer go when Booker allowed the Elizabeths to drown him?[/sp]
[sp]No witnesses[/sp]
I'm playing 1999 mode now, but I remember hearing something about permanent choices being a factor in it. I've yet to encounter anything which would limit my choices. The only real difference I've noticed in my 1999 playthrough so far is that enemies are tougher and the navigation arrow is disabled. If it is involved, when would I have to make a decision on whatever it is I'm supposed to choose? I think it was about limiting and specializing in certain vigors and guns, but I'm not sure.
[sp]YOU DIDN'T CRY WHEN THE BABY WAS TAKEN THROUGH THE TEAR!?[/sp] What is wrong with you
I think my mind was more focused on trying to figure out what on earth was going on.
[Sp]I was toying with the thought that Comstock & DeWitt were alternate versions of eachother, but after I killed Comstock I twigged, freaked out and rushed back to the font to see if Comstock had green eyes. Unfortunately he's face down.[/Sp]
btw, the handyman at the start(fair) acted funny everytime the camera flashed if im not wrong fire causes the handyman to be stunned possibly related?
[sp]Comstock was sterile, so he had the Luteces bring in the daugter of his other-dimension-self, Booker[/sp]
Aye I understand the ending. It just collapsed my mind at that point when it all became clear.
The best tracks are [sp]Baptism and Let Go[/sp], hands down. [sp]I have shivers just from listening to them.[/sp] [editline]Edited:[/editline]
[sp]Not related to the ending, but what the hell was that accent when she asked Booker if he's afraid of God?[/sp]
Seriously, am I the only one who didn't get why is that?
I think I have a good idea of how they could do a DLC that takes place after the ending. [sp]It seems kind of odd that odd even taking hugely different paths after the baptism could create such vastly different personalities, so maybe the "Guardian Angel" Comstock saw could have been another person/entity in a similar state as the twins that was in need of someone like Elizabeth as part of some sort of incomprehensible plan involving the multiverse. Of course it would have to involve the twins, can't have enough of them.[/sp]
I still think the original Bioshock score is the best score in a video game.
This made the game for me.
This made the game for me.
Never found that on my first playthrough sadly.
Never found that on my first playthrough sadly.
Yeah, it was in the Shantytown bar if I'm not mistaken. Easy to miss.
Never found that on my first playthrough sadly.
When I play a game I cannot leave an area until I have literally looked at every square foot of it.
Yeah, it was in the Shantytown bar if I'm not mistaken. Easy to miss.
I was like, wow, ya noe?
This made the game for me.
The video in the studio during the later parts of the credits had me pretty awestruck, pretty sure Ken Levine was too.
