Alright so just started up 1999, I am right at finkton now.
So far I've invested everything into Shields and salts. I'm also investing all of my money into weapon upgrades exempt for the mind control one and return to sender once I get it. I've only died 4 times up to this point but I know the games difficulty spikes right around this point so fingers crossed.
[editline]30th March 2013[/editline]
Also something else I noticed, in the model of the city you see after battleship bay there is a picture 9seen left of the gun) that says comstock on it but the picture looks nothing like him

I'm wondering if it has any significance.
It's a model from an earlier build of the game that they never changed, Comstock used to look like that in ~2011
It didn't for me. I honestly didn't care about anything but figuring out stuff about Elizabeth. I don't care about the Vox, I don't care about the citizens, Fink, anything really.
That's what I'm getting at; the game did a poor job on convincing me any of that stuff mattered. That's why I only really started enjoying it towards the end.
Did you listen to the voxophones because they provide a lot of story.
I swear, I carried the same shotgun for the entire fucking game :v:
seems like it's what i'm currently doing this play through...
does the shotty get any upgrades?
[sp]No witnesses[/sp]
Baptism later in the game.
[sp] To be fair the baptizer's blind, so you look away and SWOOSH he's gone over the waterfall! [/sp]

Yup, damage, reload, spread, and I think another damage, but I could be wrong.
Just finished it. Holy hell was that a good ending.
Guys.
GUYS.
[sp]That motherfucking ending was the biggest mind-fuck I have EVER gone through in any sort of piece of entertainment. That just sealed Bioshock Infinite as the best video-game storyline I've ever had the pure pleasure of playing through, although I must admit, I'm a little sad that they're related and that they'll never get to Paris.[/sp]

[sp]You watched the ending credits scene, yes?[/sp]
Did you listen to the voxophones because they provide a lot of story.
Yes, I got every single one except for 2 I think.

Did you have the game set to the wrong language?
But seriously, the whole story setup is amazing, I'm boggled you didn't like it
Think about it. Would you as booker actually care about them? Very unlikely, they have little to nothing to do with what you're there to do apart from a few sections. It's entirely up to you if you want to find out more about them or not. You're not forced into knowing everything about them and caring about them.

If you liked that then you should watch:
I'm adding spoiler tags, because the themes may spoil Bioshock Infinite, so If you haven't finished you're clicking at your own risk:
[sp]12 Monkey[/sp]
[sp]Looper[/sp]
[sp]Donnie Darko[/sp]
[sp]Memento[/sp]

[sp]I didn't get the connection how DeWitt was Comsock. Something I didn't get. But I agree, the ending was amazing. [/sp]
what about
[sp]brick[/sp]
that would round it out nicely...

Reddit did an excellent job of attempting to explain it, head on over to their Bioshock subreddit.

... They straight up tell you. Multiple times. I don't understand how people are missing this?
also what's the song that plays in the memorial when you're trying to get the lightning vigor and you're it starts off when you see a lady holding a baby standing on a horse carriage?
i've heard it a zillion times before but never caught the name
it's an awesome classical song drop... not as good as waltz of the flowers in the first game though.
Also now I'm rather depressed because [sp]the ending doesn't feel like "closure" in the slightest. I WANTED PARIS OH GOD[/sp]

No, I certainly liked the bits that actually mattered like Elizabeth and everything else related to her. It's just I felt that everything leading up to those major story elements were boring as hell. I know why Daisy Fitzroy is rebelling, but I honestly don't care. I didn't feel any empathy towards her character nor did I feel any anger and relief when [sp]she died.[/sp] Same thing goes with all the other stuff. I only really thought the story got interesting once you [sp]"resurrect" Lady Comstock. After that, any story elements deal directly with Elizabeth and who/what she is.[/sp]
Scuze me, Requiem: Lacrimosa
Im going to play though Bioschock 1 tomorrow, ive already beaten that game but it was when it first came out and I was too young to realize some of the crazy shit, anyone else doing the same?
[sp]If we saw Anna and Booker in Paris at the end... I would have cried the least manly tears I could muster...[/sp]
I was so fucking happy when [sp]Daisy died. That bitch had it coming.[/sp]
[editline]31st March 2013[/editline]
I would like to point something out: [sp]If Quantum Physics are anything to go by, does that mean that somewhere, in some other time, in some other reality, there actually is a Booker and an Elizabeth?[/sp].
[sp]I felt really bad for Elizabeth when she was excited to hear the rebellion had started likening it to Les Miserables, only to see they're all lead by a crazy psychopath and are just as terrible as the founders.[/sp]

If we're going by the infinite universe theory then yes, there are infinite possibilities. So yeah, in a world I may have a 32 feet dick wrapped around my arm for coolness.
Guys, do you know what I just realized?
[sp]When you're baptised in the begining by the priest, he actually DOES kill you; the next scene is an alternate Booker about to be murdered by a Comstock invasion that is saved by the twins and merged with the memories of the previous Booker. God, everything's coming together now.[/sp]
Scuze me, Requiem: Lacrimosa
jesus i actually did know the name but because it's so overused i forgot lol.
i just know it as requiem, as it's obviously an incredibly somber.. well.. if the word requiem had a song it would be that, and i guess it does...

[sp]No, because Comstock-Booker never exists, so Anna wouldn't be named Elizabeth.[/sp]

Lacrimosa means weeping in latin.
