[sp]I really liked the game, and the ending, but I think you guys are exaggerating how good the ending was. It was pretty awesome, but I don't think it's a unique concept.[/sp]
I would like to point something out: [sp]If Quantum Physics are anything to go by, does that mean that somewhere, in some other time, in some other reality, there actually is a Booker and an Elizabeth?[/sp].
[sp]In the end, the catalyst for all the Elizabeth and Booker interactions like in this game was destroyed when Booker/Comstock was drowned. Sadly, no.[/sp]

everything about this game is linear but the ideas presented in the game, like tears or the rails, are some awesome mechanics that would be cool in a more open game.
[sp]In the end, the catalyst for all the Elizabeth and Booker interactions like in this game was destroyed when Booker/Comstock was drowned. Sadly, no.[/sp]
I think he's talking about real life.
Lacrimosa means weeping in latin.
..well there you go. wow i just got ninja'd like 3 times in a row...
[sp]How so?[/sp]
[sp]It has been used a few times before, I think that's what he means[/sp]
[sp]How so?[/sp]
[sp]It's not the first thing ever to do the whole "alternate universes merging" thing, but it was still a pretty nice ending.[/sp]
Also now I'm rather depressed because [sp]the ending doesn't feel like "closure" in the slightest. I WANTED PARIS OH GOD[/sp]
That's kind of how I feel [sp]Maybe I just lost track or forgot about too many of the clues in all the running around and killing stuff, but I felt a little dumbfounded when the game told me a I was Comstock and dumped me into the credits before I had a chance to say "Wait, what?", much less digest what just happened. I also had to look up the post-credits scene on youtube, because I was getting impatient with the credits, click out of them, and assumed there was nothing after them. [/sp]
[sp]I really liked the game, and the ending, but I think you guys are exaggerating how good the ending was. It was pretty awesome, but I don't think it's a unique concept.[/sp]
name one game with a similar ending?
[sp]It has been used a few times before, I think that's what he means[/sp]
What's interesting is it was something that I've thought would've been a good direction for Half-Life to go with its story. As a matter of fact, now that I think about it there are a shitload of parallels between Half-Life 2 and BioShock: Infinite. I think there might've been some inspiration somewhere in there.
[sp]Can someone explain the twins? I know they're apparently the same person, but how are they the same person exactly? Ones a male, ones a female, etc. I don't even know why I'm confused about this and nothing else, it's weird.[/sp]
I think he's talking about real life.
Yep.

I was like, shit imagine if HL3 was going to have the same plot elements, because it'd seem so logical for a HL game [sp]have a ll this multiuniverse travelling thing[/sp]
[sp]Can someone explain the twins? I know they're apparently the same person, but how are they the same person exactly? In another Universe, they are female. They came together in one Universe, and ipso facto you have two of them, one male, one female.[/sp]
[sp]Can someone explain the twins? I know they're apparently the same person, but how are they the same person exactly? Ones a male, ones a female, etc. I don't even know why I'm confused about this and nothing else, it's weird.[/sp]
[sp]There are infinite number of universes, some differs a lot from each other, some differ a little. In one universe a female Lutece exists, in another a male Luetece exists. [/sp]
I would like to point something out: [sp]If Quantum Physics are anything to go by, does that mean that somewhere, in some other time, in some other reality, there actually is a Booker and an Elizabeth?[/sp].
I never bought the idea of infinite possible universe based on what decisions people made, because the human mind is still bound by causality like anything else, so the same inputs will always result in the same output. If you wanted to have something happen differently, like a coin toss, the initial conditions of that universe would have to be different in a way that it changes the outcome of that coin toss without affecting anything before that point that in a way that would stop the coin toss from happening in the first place.

Did anyone else notice how they could've [sp]easily made it to Paris if Booker had just killed Daisy and her thugs and get their airship back without the ridiculous task of arming an entire rebellion. Seriously the whole ending could've been avoided if they just had stopped for a second before going through the tears into the alternate Columbia where Chen Lin hadn't been killed and thought of a plan that didn't involve traveling to an alternate universe. Especially since Booker clearly has no problem murdering cops and just random armed people to get Elizabeth out of the city prior to that point.[/sp]
[sp]That black dude was holding him...[/sp]
[sp]Well yes, but Daisy had to have docked the ship at some point, as was shown in the doomed world that they entered. And I doubt the Vox Populi rebels would've been much of a challenge for Booker[/sp]
[sp]Yeah but the first lady airship was never a viable option for getting out because of song bird so they probably still could not have escaped the city.[/sp]
I could see this being a legitimation problem however.
[sp]Wouldn't it have been ironic if the city Comstock first attacked was Paris? It would be rather sad, plus it would give Old!Elizabeth much more regret about joining Comstock (even though there were a lot, I suppose).[/sp]

I could totally see him being an asshole though and planning Paris to be attacked first upon seeing Elizabeth's love of it.[/sp]
Don't cha guys love it when she does crazy shit like this?
[sp] Apparently both Booker and Liz can teleport to land once they fall off from Columbia.
