I really don't like Mag's model, and her powers aren't all that useful. The idea of magnetism is cool, but she doesn't have much practical use in the long run. Power max is a mod, I have one.
Upgrading your stuff takes way longer now, I miss being an OP piece of shit
Upgrading your stuff takes way longer now, I miss being an OP piece of shit
It was boring though, and it would keep getting boring. The nerf was necessary, and the new system is pretty awesome. It will get more awesome when they start making new cards and general warframe mods.
I've been thinking about this for a while: The whole card-mod business is great, but so far, a little flawed. Take Magic:The Gathering as an example- you pay 4 euros and get 15 cards, one granted to be rare. In here you pay 90plat and get way less, one granted to be rare. What I mean is: they could've pumped out way more cards and effects to have like 100 or more different cards, some with double effects as super-rares (old two effects mods) for the sake of variety and stuff. now bring the cost down, give a higher number of cards per pack, one granted to be rare, chance to get a super rare with dual effect= whole lotta money for DE because gambling is where the $$$ really is in F2P. but there's more! after a while get those cards off the game, make a new name and picture for each and every card, name it Series II and open a player market where plat is the only currency. Cash in a whole fucking lot of money as people sells their SeriesI foil super-rares for stupid prices as in trading card fashon.
Just tried the Paris. The stats don't matter, it's THE most satisfying weapon I've ever used in Warframe [editline]23rd March 2013[/editline] Also about Mag, I've seen people use her ultimate and it looks so cool it seems it's worth grinding the parts just for that. [editline]23rd March 2013[/editline] I'm thinking about getting Trinity as my 4th frame after I get Mag and I finish building Rhino.
I think you are expecting a bit much for the system's initial launch.
What is the best thing to spend my platinum on? The founder package thing for me was a once off - I don't plan on sinking money in to this game on a regular basis, so what would be the smartest thing to spend my platinum on with that in mind? I was thinking buy all the frames and then get gear/weapons via play, but I'm not sure, suggestions?
weapon slots and warframe slots if you see yourself playing for a long time otherwise frames probably, weapons are easy to get

(Wiki should help with that) Honestly, my thoughts would be to hold onto the platinum you don't use for impulse buying and wait for DE to decide what the trading options will be. If they end up allowing platinum trading you could gift some to a friend and skip part of that initial resource grind.

I was thinking buy all the frames and then get gear/weapons via play, but I'm not sure, suggestions?
Right now the "smartest" way to spend plat is for Warframe slots and weapons slots that you can't get otherwise (plus the slots are very cheap in plat) and Orokin Reactor and Catalysts because even though you can get them through the game, they're SUPER rare (I got 2 Catalysts and 2 Orokin Reactor without plat in 40 hours of game time) and they're pretty damn cheap in plats for what they do. Don't buy the alternative helmets, they're even easier to obtain in alerts than Reactors or Catalysts and cost a lot of plat in comparison. Don't buy weapons or Warframes because half of the fun of the game is getting the materials for them and building them. Buying them with plat is a shortcut that would make the game less fun in my opinion. Also, you can buy some weapons for in-game credits directly. Lastly, you can buy cosmetic options like weapon skins or extra colors (but not the helmets) because you can't get them without plats. TL;DR: Buy slots, Orokin Reactors and Catalysts and some cosmetic things if you have the plat (but not the helmets). The rest you can (and SHOULD try to) get through the game.
wtf dont buy catalysts and reactors, their BPs are quite often on alerts [editline]24th March 2013[/editline] join the warframe alert group on steam
I would only spend money on orokin reactors/catalysts(they cost 35k to build so imo it's worth it), and more character slots.
So should I get Frost or Ember or Volt? I'll have one extra slot after Trinity is done cooking and I need something to work toward.
wtf dont buy catalysts and reactors, their BPs are quite often on alerts [editline]24th March 2013[/editline] join the warframe alert group on steam
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA oh my god you're hilarious. Seriously, the last drop on the 18th of March and the one before that on the 15th. Even if you have access to a computer AT ALL TIMES, you still have to sleep or work at some point. Even if you don't have a life you still have a 30% chance to miss it. Maybe Reactors not dropping often isn't so bad since you tend to get a lot of use out of a Warframe, but there just isn't enough Catalyst to go around if you're playing the game often. Plus, they're SUPER CHEAP in plats. 20 plats is really not much. For 10 bucks you can supercharge 6 weapons and 2 warframes for example, and that's pretty much the equivalent of a month of drops from alerts ASSUMING you don't miss any. And for your information I both am in the Steam alert group and watch the alert subforum on the official website. Reactors and Catalysts are still worth every plat.
They aren't as important as they were before Update 7, but if you have a frame you really like and you have the plat to spend I would recommend it as a purchase. I still have two reactors sitting around, collecting dust.

Well if anyone can help me farm Uranus boss for Ash Helmet it would be nice. Last piece I need. There is a way to not get hit by him but it takes way too long.
What's the default amount of warframe space, anyway?
What's the default amount of warframe space, anyway?
Slots? 2. Energy capacity? 30.
What is the Double Heat Sword good for? How should I mod it?
What is the Double Heat Sword good for? How should I mod it?
It is good for charge damage, specifically charge crits.
Oh. What melee weapons are good for quick attacks?
Oh. What melee weapons are good for quick attacks?
The new fang swords or dual zorens. Dual zorens for lots of crits and fangs I think are a bit slower but have higher base damage.
how long does credit boosters last? kinda annoying how it doesn't say in the shop
My pet just finished being built and I took it on a test run! It's SO cute!
The new fang swords or dual zorens. Dual zorens for lots of crits and fangs I think are a bit slower but have higher base damage.
fangs are faster(by .5), but have lower charge damage afaik, they have the same attack damage, they're pretty much designed around not doing charge attacks, they do 50% more damage to armored targets(grineer etc) but 50% less to infected.
how long does credit boosters last? kinda annoying how it doesn't say in the shop
Somewhere in the amount of hours I think.
My pet looks a bit like a reaper if you ask me. [t]http://mikeramblesaboutstuff.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Mass-Effect-3-Demo-Reaper.jpg[/t] It's probably just me though. [editline]24th March 2013[/editline] Hanar Husk Candidate?
You know you can change its color right?
I know, I changed it after I took the screens.
