I just bought this last week, even though I already have a copy on the 360.. We need a megathread for this. [editline]10th April 2011[/editline] RBS games in general
There was. It only lasted about 10 pages or so. It's not that popular as a series, well at least not enough to keep it on the first couple pages.
I play it kinda regularly. If you need someone to play with, I can.
Cool, I just bought this game not long ago. It's awesome. FP server?
Cool, I just bought this game not long ago. It's awesome. FP server?
I certainly hope there'll be one, but last i recall there are no servers only P2P...I hope i'm wrong though...
I have this for PC. What was the player limit on T-Hunt multiplayer?
I used to play but sold it, do people still play because i might re-buy it?
I have this for PC. What was the player limit on T-Hunt multiplayer?
4 players.
I used to play but sold it, do people still play because i might re-buy it?
Yup, people still play it. Quite some servers actually.
Yeah you haven't played a Rainbow Six game until you've played Raven Shield.
While I agree RVS was great, I have to say the king was Rogue Spear + Urban OPs.
What was that one mod for Raven Shield, like 2.0 or something? That seemed really good, I'd install it if I had my copy of RS with me. That got lost a while ago, though...
This? http://www.moddb.com/mods/raven-shield-two-point-zero
Shit, it got shut down by Ubisoft?
I think it's really awful. I paid $10 for 2 Steam copies for me and a friend to try it out. The multiplayer and player customization are really the only likeable aspects about the game. On the easiest difficulty, the AI can headshot you when you peak your head around a corner. It feels very "consolized" to me. I hate that term, but there is a huge jump from Rainbow Six 3 to Vegas. I can't persuade you not to buy it, but I really didn't like it. If you do insist on buying it, play it with a friend. If you want a good Rainbow Six game, get Rainbow Six 3. It's on Steam for the same price and it's one of the best Tom Clancy games. There are still a handful of servers on that as well when I checked a few weeks ago.
Blame Ubisoft [editline]11th April 2011[/editline]
On the easiest difficulty, the AI can headshot you when you peak your head around a corner.
That goes for Raven Shield as well, except worse.

The best thing to to on Vegas was Mike myers. Hours of fun. :v:
Shit, it got shut down by Ubisoft?
I read that too. But I think the still released it, but they made it so it doesn't modify any official files. So Ubi got pwnd.
I played this on PS3 so when I got an xbox I bought me AND my friend a copy and we cooped the single player and played terrorist hunt. if someone wants to play on 360 just add me. (xbl on my profile)

After going "yeah thats cool guys, keep it up" while the mod while it was in development, ubisoft decided to slap the team with a Cease and Desist order a day after it was released. Offering zero explanation. Fuck Ubisoft.
No sorry I play it on Xbox sometimes though if anybody else does.
I loved this game.
I loved the realism. On SP Realism, you take one or two shots and you're dead. Play carelessly and you're bound to fail. That's one thing I loved about RSV2
That's not realism. Play RS3 or prior, come back and tell me that vegas is realistic. by all means it's a fun game though
I enjoyed vegas 2 on the ps3 I heard to PC port was pretty terrible. The thing is while the game is good there is this horrible sound effect glitch online where a guy would lag out and the sound of his gun firing wouldn't stop and would be at full volume FOR THE REST OF THE MATCH. The best part? That glitch was in the first game. They never fixed it.
I miss the days of Raven Shield, really... Just joining TAW's Coop Server was hours of Aimbotting AI Fun [editline]14th April 2011[/editline]
I enjoyed vegas 2 on the ps3 I heard to PC port was pretty terrible. Connecting to a versus game is borderline impossible for me but there's a fairly large amount of terrorist hunt games and the campaign is still pretty fun too
Yeah i try to play it every now and then, but i can never connect to ANY servers. It was a problem with the game they never fixed.
Yeah i try to play it every now and then, but i can never connect to ANY servers. It was a problem with the game they never fixed.
If I keep trying for quite a while I'll eventually get in one but sometimes it's almost just not worth it. And what sucks is that the couple times I've joined one, I actually found it to be a lot of fun so I WANT to play it but usually cant.
It's a laggy consolized piece of shit on the PC. Get Ravenshield instead.
Get better taste in games.
Alright I just figured out that if you're having problems connecting to games after the map loads, disable all the Punkbuster stuff and it helps me a ton [editline]17th April 2011[/editline]
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Oxlot.jpg[/img_thumb] Get better taste in games.
Other than some connection issues I don't see what's wrong with it
Loved the coop in this game. Played the living shit out of it.
Does Raven Shield MP Demo still playable online?
