posted this on my twitter, this is my theory
So is Kaz Queequeg?
Oh shit. I'm reading through The Boss's profile on the Metal Gear Wiki, and it turns out her VA is the voice of Pearl from Spongebob.
Oh shit. You know that's not a metal gear
Oh shit. I'm reading through The Boss's profile on the Metal Gear Wiki, and it turns out her VA is the voice of Pearl from Spongebob.
She's also Dianne Simmons from Family Guy.
Also, why isn't anyone questioning the giant flaming whale eating the helicopter? You know that's not a metal gear
BB is just tripping balls. Not enough information to start questioning it really.
Also, why isn't anyone questioning the giant flaming whale eating the helicopter? You know that's not a metal gear
And it seems to be a white whale, hmmmmmmmmmmmm
Helicopters are tasty.
I've only completed MGS 1, 3, and 4. I've played some of MGS2. Are there any characters I should familiarize myself with for MGS5? I know some people were saying this takes place right after Peace Walker, which I haven't played.
-snip, can't read-
Phantom Pain has to take place somewhere between 1982 and 1995 judging by the trailer.
Phantom Pain has to take place somewhere between 1982 and 1995 judging by the trailer.
If he was put into hospital just after the Peace Walker incident then it will roughly be 1983 or 84.
I've only completed MGS 1, 3, and 4. I've played some of MGS2.
I can't imagine playing MGS4 without playing 1, 2 and 3 in full. Jesus. What a clusterfuck that would be. [editline]28th March 2013[/editline]
Phantom Pain has to take place somewhere between 1982 and 1995 judging by the trailer.
By the 90's Big Boss has grey hair. So I would say closer to 1982.
Whether it's David Hayter or Richard Doyle, I don't really care. But it better not be anybody else. [editline]28th March 2013[/editline] Didn't Kojima say that during PAX 2012, that the GZ demo was being run on a PC with PS3 level specs? It looked just as amazing back then, could that mean that the game will look like that when actually running on the current-gen consoles (Namely the PS3)? It seems like a stretch because of how amazing the game looks but who knows, maybe KojiPro has created an incredibly optimized engine.
I'm thinking, what if the bandaged guy doesn't really exist? We don't even see him helping BB stand up, he doesn't even interact physically with BB, besides that syringe.
just play mgs2
MGS 2 takes place far ahead of MGS5. The relevant games would be MGS3, PO, and PW
So, I just started playing MGS 1 (the PC version) and all the codec calls are silent and there are no cutscenes. Do any of you happen to know a fix? Thanks in advance.
o kojima, u so cray
Yes, yes he is.
Portable Ops is canon.
Portable Ops isn't even canon in the story though, is it? (As Kojima's decision) Either way the only game that's absolutely necessary is Peace Walker. It has a nice summary of MGS 3 in the beginning and MGS 5 takes place directly after it.
Portable Ops is kind of canon. Apparently some bits aren't.
I imagine the only parts of PO that aren't canon are like the parts where Old Snake comes back and starts shooting people in the face.
MGS 2 takes place far ahead of MGS5. The relevant games would be MGS3, PO, and PW
not playing mgs2 is a crime against humanity [editline]28th March 2013[/editline] inexcusable [editline]28th March 2013[/editline] death sentence
I dunno where you guys get your info from but according to the Metal Gear Wiki Kojima said it's canon.
not playing mgs2 is a crime against humanity [editline]28th March 2013[/editline] inexcusable [editline]28th March 2013[/editline] death sentence
I was talking about in terms of Big Boss's story.
I'm thinking, what if the bandaged guy doesn't really exist? We don't even see him helping BB stand up, he doesn't even interact physically with BB, besides that syringe.
And where does he go when Ocelot gives Big Boss a ride?
I think bandaged guy exists, he is probably the person that Kaz refers to in the beginning of the trailer. I wonder if he is an MSF merc or something else.
Someone else make the new thread, my internet is going down soon.
