But Wolf and Nastasha are both russian.
[editline]5th March 2013[/editline]
[sp]Cant be, she's fucked off to like brazil or something, she sends you a tape after the end of the game, and in MGS1 she'd be too old to be Wolf and she cant be Nastasha because they look nothing alike, and at the time, she was building Paradise Lost.[/sp]
No, she's a Kurd.

Do we need to be technical?
Now you shall bear witness to the demon loadout that will drag TF2 into the 21st century!
[sp]I am so happy right now.[/sp]

When you mistake an Arab for a Russian, yes.

Well she speaks with a russian accent.

I know, Im just teasing.
So just finished hard. It was an actuall challange, especially that Sam fight. [sp]Armstrong[/sp] on the other hand was a breeze.
Very hard will probably screw me over.
[sp]Also whats the deal with that melon room. Almost pissed my pants[/sp]
I don't get it, why does everyone have such a hard time against Sam? I've one-shot him on every difficulty (except easy, I haven't played easy), and didn't find a single thing about him difficult.

Everyone is not you.
To be honest though, I didn't have any problems with him either.
Well, while walking home today my friend noticed money on the ground. It was two £10 notes so he split it between us. My Rising fund is almost complete.
He's such a nice guy, i would have probably kept them both.
Holy shit the transition from hard to very hard is brutal. I'm at R-00 and I get my ass handed to me like a little child from those two Fenrirs and cyborg adds.
This will be fun.

Just run past those. After you beat the mastiff you can go straight to Ray.
Finally...
It worked when I used the R3 camera switch. Gives a little bit more control over the battlefield.
That was the first actual combat. I'm scared.

Oh this is gonna be fun.
When i actually get to get the god damn fucking game.
Why're you waiting so long to get it?
Money issues.

Fair enough, but still, Sam is by far the easiest boss to S Rank on. His attacks are the most advertised, and some of the slowest to start up. I found him incredibly easy to parry, even on Very Hard.
Here is a video of Sam on Hard. This isn't my video, but you get the idea. If you really watch Sam, you can see how slow his attacks are to start up, and how easy they are to see coming:

I bought a PS3 just to play MGS4 and man that was so worth it.
Really like very hard so far, makes the game really demanding. Lack of attention gets punished really fast.
But man the camera is such a pain in the ass, especially when facing multiple [sp]METAL MASTIFFS[/sp].
Also that stealth section in R-01, the one with the cameras, combined with the Gray Fox skin makes me lust for a cyborg ninja stealth game.
I want to get rising but prices in Australia are horrible.
and I have no money.
I hope somebody will change the thread icon back to "politics". I kinda liked that.
Holy shit, I am so bad at MGS4. I'm at the very beginning of Act 5, and I just can't make it to the watertight door without getting spotted at least halfway there. And when I get spotted, it's basically all over.
Go download the integral podcast for Act 5. It takes you down a path of least resistance and I use it every time I play now.
Also, why aren't you crawling the fuck around? Unless you're playing like, Big Boss Hard or some nigh impossible difficulty. You also picked up the railgun from Crying Wolf. If you get spotted by Gecko, that's kind of your only option unless you want to expend a lot of ammo shooting their legs and then their head when they collapse.
Also, there are two snipers on either side of the tower, I suggest you take them out with the mosin nagant (also possible with pistol if you aim properly).
It really shouldn't be that hard.
I'm thinking about playing through MGS3 again and all I can think about is how easy some parts are. I mean, the desert after The Pain is incredibly dull, I just tranquilized the guards there and went through 'em. Tranq is OP as fuck :v: Never even played through any harder difficulties, do they make the game more interesting?

Hardest difficulty, cqc only
Hardest difficulty, cqc only
Sure thing, but besides it being hard as fuck, do I get something for doing it?

Taking out Gekko is way more trouble than it's worth. I need to avoid combat in anyway possible, because they just keep respawning no matter what.
Also I'm not crawling so I can move fast enough to avoid the enemies' patrol paths. Wouldn't want them to walk right into me when I'm trying to reach a ladder.

Tip I got from the integral podcast (which you can download from the download menu, which is accessed through the main menu) on that section:
[sp]As soon as you start, sneak to your left and look for a hatch door on the ground. It is not obvious at all, as it looks like you can't interact with it and open it at all, but you can indeed. You'll crawl in to a vent that lets you bypass a HUGE chunk of the ship. When you come out, you should be about halfway there. There will be another shorter hatch in the area, so look for that. When you come out of that one, you'll be within range of the door. Just make sure to be aware of your surroundings and take out whoever will spot you.[/sp]
