Liquid was explained as Ocelot brainwashing himself into believing he was Liquid.

No, in MGS2 it was genuine.
If that was the case, explain why he ripped his arm off and stuck a robot one on in MGS4.
So, what swords/outfits do you guys use on MGR?
I use the Machete with the Brown Wig and Suit.
Fortune was always weird to me.
It's like, first she has super powers and shit, then it's revealed she doesn't have super powers, but rather has some super science nano technology that she didn't even know about herself, and then it turns out she had super powers all along anyway.
I thought that was extremely dumb when I first saw it.
Parrying in MGR is like trying to put shoes on a person who doesn't even have legs.

No, it requires precise timing.
My favorite character was Ocelot, especially after the events of MGS1. Then it's a tie for Naked/Solid/Solidus/Liquid and The Boss.
I just like how, through MGS1, Ocelot isn't much. Then he ends up being this huge part of the entire series, and is pretty badass in MGS4. Some people diss the Guns of the Patriots scene, but I personally love it.
i've only played mgs1/2/3, but ocelot is very easily the best character of the entire series.

the whole story revolves around him

Compared to the other games, you really cant gung-ho through MGS2.
It's those shield guys. They're fucking horrible to fight.

Do the Defensive Offense dodge, i think that might be the trick.

Do it close, since Raiden does a slash as he dashes, so it should keep them in one spot as you automatically circle around them, leaving their backs open.
I meant in mgs2. Was talking about you can't go rambo cuz those shield dudes.
Oh.
Grenades.

If it works on a giant angry shaman in alaska in a tank it can work on buttfuck smurnoff russian with a shield.
I remember it took me quite a while to adjust to MGS2. I couldn't even get past the tanker for a while.
Hell, I even decided to skip straight to MGS3 for a bit, and I did better there. That is, until I realized that I should still play 2 first.

Their shield goes down in like four slashes.
Could you even rambo your way through MGS2? I thought that guards kept pouring in no matter what

Cant.

My brother tried to rambo through MGS2 (he LOVED mgs1), "oh shit I need to hide". Guess what, the enemies check under shit now. THERE IS NO ESCAPE.
I just had a thought, would it be possible for technology to become so advanced that we end up having cyborgs and an actual soldier like Raiden? It's just a dumb thought that's crossed my mind.

Yes.
Not to the degree of lifting a metal gear into the air and chucking it and slicing it to bits as it falls, but yeah.

I mean like up to the point of being able to lift 100-700 lbs of extra weight with little to no issue, having electric swords, and armor that would be like exoskeletons and assist you in precision and all that fun stuff that Raiden has, I haven't played MGR yet so I haven't seen a lot from it.

Thats completely possible.
The human body, when fucking maxed out on adrenaline, is already capable of lifting a car, so some artificial super muscle with a good frame seems entirely plausible.
It helps that the cyborgs in the game are stated as using "CNT muscle fiber" and Carbon NanoTubes exist, and are ridiculous enough that they're your best bet in making artificial super strength super cyborg bodies.

The electric swords use "alternating currents" to strengthen the structure of the blade, which im not sure how that works, but the part about it vibrating at insane speeds and being superheated on the blade would certainly help its cutting abilities.

this is why mgs2 owns
the stealth is better than in mgs1/3

I think that a part of what makes MGS3 great is that you can play it anyway you want.
The way you actually have to stealth through MGS2 is why I'm playing through it first on the Vita, too many upgrades in MGS3 to get used to and then just lose.
I want a vita so I can play the original MGS trilogy on the go but I don't have the money for a vita and I never leave my house
