Just got our server guaranteed setup. Might be able to see the setup options tomorrow or later tonight.
What is the "war tapes" audio setting?
I don't have it on steam
Well shit I just got my ass kicked :frown: Anyways, Full round gameplay video. 2 parts. 17 minutes long. Part 1 (9:51): Part 2 (7:17):
What is the "war tapes" audio setting?
Basically it is a sound setting that makes the game more immersive by adding more ambient combat sounds, radio chatter, and better scaling for different sounds.
wow you are a terrible sniper
I can't play for shit when I'm recording at 30 (or 35, I don't remember) fps. Whenever I have less that 50 fps in any game I play like shit. The mouse feels sloppy, hit boxes get a little bit more screwed up, etc.
I can snipe fine with 30 fps...
I can snipe fine with 30 fps...
I can't. Everything feels so jittery. Everything looks like it's jumping around. Some people can play fine with 30 fps, while some can't. I can't play any game if it's less than 45 or 50, because everything just feels like shit.
I find 30 fps to be quite playable in most games. Hell I played the BFBC2 beta with 25+ fps just fine and dandy.
Basically it is a sound setting that makes the game more immersive by adding more ambient combat sounds, radio chatter, and better scaling for different sounds.
Thanks, even though I find it more immersive knowing all the "ambient" noise(gunfire, explosions, etc) are coming from actual players and knowing that people are currently fighting.
I got no veteran points even with BF2 with all expansions. :saddowns:
I absolutely fucking love that all the explosion sounds and gunfire comes from players, and that this is like the first game that has incorporated realistic speed of sound. If an explosion goes off a few football fields away, you are going to see it, and then you'll hear it later. I've always wanted that. This game is pretty much what I've always wanted in a shooter, straight up.
No more beta... but BC2 tuesday and I cannot wait. And it's going to rain in my area, which means no tennis practice, so I can get on home and play BC2.
You know what I find funny, those poems we saw before in the beta. Yeah... those were DRM. The poems are actually DRM for the game which cripples your mouse control, it's hilarious.
Poems? What poems?
A simple support mission they said...
I'm still confused
Poems? What poems?

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe. "Beware the Jabberwock, my son! The jaws that bite, the claws that catch! Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!" He took his vorpal sword in hand: Long time the manxome foe he sought -- So rested he by the Tumtum tree, And stood awhile in thought. And, as in uffish thought he stood, The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame, Came whiffling through the tulgey wood, And burbled as it came! One, two! One, two! And through and through The vorpal blade went snicker-snack! He left it dead, and with its head He went galumphing back. "And, has thou slain the Jabberwock? Come to my arms, my beamish boy! O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!' He chortled in his joy. `Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe; All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe. Oh. Alright.
I have to go to this shitty open house on tuesday. :C

Oh shit I just noticed that this month is only 28 days long, so the release date is a few days closer than I have been thinking it was.
Gotta love February
Hopefully I'll get my $50 within the next 3 days so I can get it.
Holy shit, so it seems! :neckbeard:
Holy shit, so it seems! :neckbeard:
Erhm.. So what seems?
That Feb is only 28 days long.
That Feb is only 28 days long.
It doesn't seem like it is 28 days long, it is 28 days long.
It doesn't seem like it is 28 days long, it is 28 days long.

So you are saying that February only gives people the impression of it being 28 days long. :ughh:
