Uh, why have there been hardly any patches since the release of Arma2? If anyone has given up on support, its them, seeing on how their game runs like shit on most computers with any decent graphics setting.
Beta.
OFP2 is more if you want to play a slower-paced MW2. It's not absolutely terrible (at least, not from the demo) like everybody says - but it is NOT an Operation Flashpoint game, much like how Generals wasn't a C&C game.
How can someone have a bad taste in games? I just said I enjoyed it. I guess Mass Effect is a bad game too? And don't forget about Bad Company 2. Sheesh, I have terrible taste. I don't like MW2 though. Guess I may as well commit suicide. Thanks for being "blunt" with me. My life is over now.
It's a pretty terrible game. Mass Effect is good and from the BC2 multiplayer beta it felt pretty average/solid. Modern warfare 2 sucks so don't assume I like that piece of shit because I pointed out that you have to be literally stupid to enjoy Dragon Rising. Also nice job assuming it still runs like shit for people when performance has pretty drastically improved since release. Oh, and at least Bohemia still supports arma 2 ;)
I tried the game and it's horrible.

Dragon Rising being a mountain of crap isn't so much an opinion as it is a pure fact.
Yeah because your opinion is totally more valid than the other guys.
It's like saying you thought waterworld is a good movie. It's just so fucking horrible you probably stayed under the water a tad too long in the bathtub as a baby. Or that was probably your parents trying to kill you because you're stupid.
Played it for 2 hours at an HMV Gamerbase in Glasgow, didn't like it, only ploughed on because I had 8 hours on my card there to waste.

What is there to actually enjoy about Dragon Rising though? I mean you'd have to be blind/stupid/not playing DR to not notice the massive flaws of it. Like the 64 unit limit/bugs oh god the bugs/the fact that it sucks
I bought it for 5 eur as well in deal. And I can say I am happy with that. I really like it since, it's not some dummy NPC game, Where enemies always appear in same spot. Here enemies come and come from different places. And I am also quite pleased with graphics and it's performance.
I didn't even finish the demo because it was so boring If you played the first Op:Flashpoint and liked it, then you'll definitely be disappointed with this. The only people who have any remote chance of liking this game are people who aren't expecting a real Flashpoint game, & who have low standards in the first place It's kind of like Ghost Recon minus the fun, from what I remember

Like the 64 unit limit/bugs oh god the bugs/the fact that it sucks
Lot's of games have flaws. It's not that I don't notice them occasionally, I just ignore them. I can't even remember more than 3 bugs on the console version. 1. When spawning, the gun would be invisible for a few seconds. 2. This barrier in single player killed you if you sprinted over it. 3. The medic occasionally doesn't get to you in time because he was crawling. This happened 2 times in the whole single player. I remember how much fun I had camped out in a building defending our base with a sniper and my squad positioned below. (This is multi-player btw) I was picking off the goons behind cover that would pop up and my squad took care of the stragglers. Now that is genuine fun. All of the bugs aren't really ground breaking. I mean, Mass Effect 2 has some nasty bugs but people still love it!
This game is crap.*insert gross thing that you're willing to do rather than to have to play this game here* It seriously sucks ass.I cba to start explaining why.The fact that the game says "Do that" without explaining how to actually do it is a dissapointment and an irritating fact. I died once,my medic came ontop of me and just stood there untill he got killed. The i uninstalled the game.

Honestly, you probably never played the original OFP and that's why you can even enjoy this. It's a piece of shit in comparison, it's mediocre at best on it's own, it's sort of like one of those fallout 2 to fallout 3 things, 2 is better and in comparison 3 is shit, but on it's own 3 is average.

Don't both with Dragon Rising, it has even shittier AI than the first game and no real capacity for modding.
Is it a sin that I'm enjoying this more then ArmA 2? :ohdear: Of course I only played in the mission editor and the first few SP levels in ArmA 2 and it ran pretty bad for me. But OF:DR is a okay game, it's not god like but at least it runs decent while looking pretty.
The reviews for this game are pretty good, really. I guess it's just a FP bandwagon thing, I didn't play it enough to form an opinion on it to begin with.
