Awesome. I turned my wooden shack into a stone one (just stuck loads of stone blocks on the outside) and the interior is HUGE. Loving it. I think I'll be adding a 3 x 3 lookout tower on top. Or I might expand it even more (the spawn point being the main castle, and I'll have a courtyard around it) and add four huge bastions on each corner. I'm talking huge, meaning 5x5 towers, maybe even 7x7. And they'll be 20-30 blocks high. Aww yeah!
Working on my mine shaft. I hate jumping to get up levels, so I'm using stone steps. Yeah, it's slower. But once it's done, I'll be zipping up and down my mine like crazy.
PS: Forgot to mention. All previous stairs are being converted into spiral staircases. I'll have to make them spiral to accomadate the extra steps that'll be needed to make it smooth. This will count for all stairs, apart from mines. No way I'm making them smooth. Would take ages.

Also, work has started on my courtyard. I had to cut it off slightly awkwardly because night came (playing muted, it's a pain in the ass to know when it's day time). When the courtyard is done, I've gotta dig away all dirt mounds near the walls to stop spiders getting in. After that, I'll get to work on my towers (even at night) and then start building stuff above ground.
Farm is a priority. Got a farm right now but it's ages away (question: do plants need to be on dirt near water? Because when I use the hoe on the ground, sometimes it looks dry, but if it's next to water it looks damp. So yeah, does farm plots need to be near water to grow wheat?) and I hate wasting aboveground time trekking to it.
Once my towers are up, I guess I'll horde resources. I've got a 3x3 mineshaft that goes all the way down to the bottom of the map. So now I just have to branch out at different heights and scour for resources. I do not care much for gold, my main resources are iron and diamonds (emeralds?). Once I have enough iron, I'll make a full set of armour.
