What do you mean? I downloaded from the link you posted, redownloaded the minecraft.jar, put it in lib, click minecraft.bat, log in, click any random server or generate a level and it doesn't do shit and complains about AMD 64bit. I can get a screencap if you want.

I think of it as loose cobblestone being compacted into a solid block, which technically would be a bit smaller. :/
