It is dynamic water falled Finite, It will dissappear if you make a pool of it, and build off into the sky, it will all go down, leaving nothing behind.
In the indev something is up with the water. Could it be an early attempt at dynamic water?
You mean like some sort of futuristic "finite" water system? Golly, that sure does sound complicated. Something like that probably won't be in Minecraft for years.
Would anyone by chance purchase me this, and let me pay them back tomorrow?
You mean like some sort of futuristic "finite" water system? Golly, that sure does sound complicated. The programming itself is atrocious.
Respawn should be handled by buildable totems. These totems will function as a respawn point, it takes 1 or 2 minutes to cast a respawn from a player from a tribe. Speaking of which, this game needs premade buildings. Forge?
I think it should just take a lot longer for minerals to turn into bars. Like a couple of minutes. That way you have to manage your fuel source. I also think you shouldn't be able to just light fires on stone floors because that's just silly.
Dangit some stupid skeleton archer was camping my entrance and I had no bow. So I dug a complicated tunnel system and eventually found dirt. So I dug further tunnels but that went nowhere, so I decided to dig a bit upwards. I saw light. Then I saw a huge storm of mobs, creepers up front. It wasn't pretty backtracking trough the tunnels to a dead end. Boom.
I highly doubt Notch as the programming skills. Minecraft is great because of it's concept, and for some reason it got popular. The programming itself is atrocious.
I doubt Notch as programming skills too. I don't doubt Notch as a programmer though. :science:
Given he's firing out feature day after day after day is amazing, if you ask me. also, you make little grammatical. [editline]1:11[/editline] HOLY FUCKING TRIPLENINJA
I've played minecraft for awhile, could you please add my server to the list? Its multiworld and has a bunch of neat scripted blocks including a monster that chases you.
I know how to program in java like all the cool kids.
who wants to bet this kid learned a little java in school one day and hasn't done anything since then... if ANYTHING. go brag about your 1337 skillz where they'll take you for more than a grain of salt.
I think I found a nice helpful tip. You can try building a trench around your entrance and add a barrier above your door/path to get out of your home area so creatures can get on and fall into the pit. You can also make it very deep and flood it when you get enough creatures at the bottom to kill them :D

You guys need to stop circle jerking around this guy. Garry deserves it all.
"I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today."
Cheers.
How about I got an A+ in a college intensive class? You guys need to stop circle jerking around this guy. Garry deserves it all.
I <3 trolls. You keep me occupied. "College intensive" made me laugh. Protip: Don't argue collegiate with someone who works for a college.
I highly doubt Notch as the programming skills. Minecraft is great because of it's concept, and for some reason it got popular. The programming itself is atrocious.
You best be trollin'. How many 3D games have realistic finite water? Not many. How many of those games are programmed in Java and run in your browser? Other than Minecraft, 0. There's a reason for that. It's not easy. So either shut the fuck up or program a better solution and e-mail it to Notch. And if you're referring to indev when you say the programming is atrocious, you're an idiot. Indev is just one step removed the source code on Notch's computer so there are obviously going to be tons of bugs as he adds new stuff that breaks old features. Every game is bug-ridden while it's being actively developed because it's easier to add new code quickly and fix the bugs later than it is to be really careful that each new addition doesn't break something.
February 13, 11:03 AM The Strangest Thing I've found that the sheep are attracted to light. The pigs as well, but they mostly mind their own business. When I place torches, sheep instantly flock to them as if they have some sort of need to stay in a well-lit area. This sort of troubles me all things considered. There was a burnt out torch in the cave when I first entered it. I practically had to pry it from the wall to replace it. It doesn't take a genius to put two and two together. The figure I saw was completely bathed in darkness, and the cave had a small light emenating from it. I'm sure the sheep saw the light and wandered to safety, or, at least, what it thought was safety. It as well explains why there was a sheep in my well-lit abode that night, as if it was trying to get away from something. I'm sure it just wanted somewhere safe to stay the night. I believe I accidentally led a sheep to its doom that night, which shouldn't bother me as much as it does. It means there is something out there in the dark, and I must not travel at night, or else I will end up facing these mysterious figures at the edge of my vision head on. I dug out some more of the cave today, found some interesting ores, the likes of which I've never seen in person. Gold, Diamonds, you name it, it was there. Everything except oil, sadly. I took some flint to keep my torches lit, which I'm sure I could use to get bars out of the ore I collected eventually. I found an inlet at the back of the cave, with a small metal gate. Beyond the bars I could see another burnt out torch atop a chest. I've begun to wonder what's in it. Tomorrow I will tunnel around the gate and open the chest. As always, -J.D.
larikang, I doubt he paid for a full version, and is just tooling around in the open single player. [editline]03:25PM[/editline] hey look, dumb ratings. God, today's been full of angsty rate-spam on the forum :buddy:

the day cycle doesn't kill off mobs?
Jeez, I can't believe how much damage that griefer did to Venn's. A good portion of mine and Daijitsu's fortress is destroyed (Mostly walls and towers). NinjaGnome said he had a backup from before this. We gonna' switch back to that or just work on damage control?
the day cycle doesn't kill off mobs?
not if they're nearby, I guess... which sucks if they're just on the other side of the walls of your house. :ohdear: [editline]1:11[/editline] dohoho, undermined.
I got out of the spawnbox on venn's server. Some op should probably fix it. Edit: We need the backup.
