sweet i am playing a game from a 4channer that explains a lot
Seriously, grow up...stop trolling and seriously just leave, every single one of your posts has been trolling, nothing helpful or useful or even neutral, just trolling...Or at least go to a different section where i won't have to see you every other post with your stupid remarks... I mean really, who the hell cares, what does it even MATTER, he made a great game, so fucking what if he goes to 4chan, so does half the rest of FP and the rest of the internet...I'm sure you've gone there at one point and hell, i have too just to see what the deal is about it, and it isn't that bad...I wouldn't go there regularly or at all but it isn't that bad.
what
Well clearly you're in the "Nzai" building.
sweet i am playing a game from a 4channer that explains a lot
every post you make is atrocious go away
Aww fuck. Notch is seriously adding NPC inhabited settlements? I hope they're like Goblin/Elf/Dwarf towns, similar to Dwarf Fortress.
Where the fuck did you get that idea from? He never said anything about NPC inhabited settlements and there's no way he'd really add them.
Where the fuck did you get that idea from? He never said anything about NPC inhabited settlements and there's no way he'd really add them.

It’s obvious that a big challenge is going to be writing an interesting level generator. Dense forests, islands, large deserts, abandoned settlements (and inhabited ones later on). Just infinite terrain on its own is fairly boring.
Actually what usually happens to me if I do that is there's an exploding creeper outside, he blows up, takes out the wall and a bunch of spiders rush in.
Aww fuck. Notch is seriously adding NPC inhabited settlements? I hope they're like Goblin/Elf/Dwarf towns, similar to Dwarf Fortress.
I just hope they actually make an effort to reach you once your fortress reaches over 1000 wealth and hits the bottom z-level. Wait I'm thinking the wrong game. Also, Notch should add "Unobtainium", which is a SINGLE block generated in the entire "Infinity", that is sorrounded by lava, monsters, water and more monsters. Once you reach the unobtanium, you must answer a 8 line algebraic puzzle, do 5 obstacle courses, and kill a boss monster. YOU MUST NOT FAIL OR GET HURT IN ANY OF THEM. Once you manage to mine unobtanium, you are granted a purple sword and the title: "Obtainee of the Unobtaneable"
I think you could have stopped at the lava monster, and obstacle course. Other than the other stuff that a ver interesting idea.

A ridiculously rare material would be interesting though. (As in only one or less per map "chunk" in an infinite map) Crafting tools with this material would give you infinite durability ones. (That's a hell of a reward and would motivate players into finding the stuff)

Update graphic card drivers. It should help
You know what this game needs? Vehicles. E.g. 6 metal blocks, some wood and coal combined... and you have a car!
7 metal bars? A car? It takes 9 metal bars to make one metal block.
Also, these guys need to learn to aim: In the hundreds of times he launched an arrow at me, he only hit me twice!

Those skeletal marksmen aim true. It's as if in their past life, they were raised and taught ONLY how to shoot a bow. Honestly, they always hit you square in the face unless they're quite a distance away and you can dodge. Stick your head through a gap, I guarantee you'll get peppered by arrows within 2 seconds.
Infinite map test is up. http://www.minecraft.net/infdev/index.jsp

Fuck yeah!
Brick mountains!

No power outages but my lawn has practically 3 feet of snow on it.
Baah still on my adventure on a flat map in trying to find flint and steel. Steel yes, but where the cocks do you find flint.
You find it randomly while digging gravel
You find it randomly while digging gravel
Is there even gravel on a flat map? And more importantly, can spiders go through 1 cube spaces?
Is there even gravel on a flat map? And more importantly, can spiders go through 1 cube spaces?
Sometimes it's generated, if you don't see it on the surface it's probably not there, and spiders need a 2 cube wide space to pass through.
