WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT? /c [editline]03:34PM[/editline] *throws fit of laughter*
Oops, wrong link... Pay no attention to that.
Hey, I haven't checked this thread for a while now. :colbert:
Ok, I edited the original post. *lulz*
I'm assuming everyone knows about the new stairs that you can make out of cobblestone and wood. x = cobblestone/wood o = empty xoo xxo xxx
1 coal = 16 blocks moved seems a bit expensive.
I kind-of agree, but it would still be worth it.
I'm assuming everyone knows about the new stairs that you can make out of cobblestone and wood. x = cobblestone/wood o = empty xoo xxo xxx
If someone didn't, I might be a little worried for them.
Why did Notch take away the sheep behavior from the original survivor. It's so goddamn realistic.
If I actually mined all the coal I've found I'd probably have 500 coal. 1/16 won't be a problem for me at all. :v:
It's supposed to be expensive enough that you have to think on whether or not it's worth it. If it's really expensive, but you still end up making use of it- It's the perfect price.
I'm going to go out on whim and say that this: http://minecraft.net/survivaltest/index.jsp?user=Sniper&id=1 is how a city build should be. It's realistic and just plain awesome. Sorry. [editline]03:45PM[/editline]
I feel like the longer the train runs the less coal it would consume, as in it sucks up coal starting up, because you have to get it moving, but after it's got momentum it's really the pinnacle of efficiency. That way it'd only really be practical to move things long distances with your train and not to use one to cross your city.
That reminded me of how much I miss the music. And how awful the old survival mobs were.
Except for the sheep. The sheep are realistic as hell in the old survival. I mean come on, they ate grass!

Was toying around with the free singleplayer version: I got a nice sewer system and was planning on creating a giant city when I noticed I wasn't logged in and unable to save. (Later noticed I require to buy minecraft to save) So I took some screens and gave up: I need to buy this so I can save and do some serious stuff.
Hey guys, in the stream yesterday, that guy had a way to make the minecarts go as long as he wanted, how did he do that he had something going like this x = block, _ or / or \ is a minecart track.
/ _____________/x\_________ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
What I want to know is how he made that diagonal piece that's not connected to anything
God that train is good, *Even more inspiration*

They no longer work anymore.
I just learnt the hard way that creepers explode.
Hey, whats that noissssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssboom
Those are called boosters. They no longer work anymore.
Notch, in the live stream on Brocraft yesterday, said that he was going to replace the boosters with something better looking but worked the same way.
Those are called boosters. They no longer work anymore.
They work, but differently than they originally did. Notch isn't removing them until he has a replacement, such as locomotives. Also diamond tools having 1000+ uses before they break now is great.
I'm assuming everyone knows about the new stairs that you can make out of cobblestone and wood. x = cobblestone/wood o = empty xoo xxo xxx
Why was I not aware of this...
My first experience with minecraft involved me building a wooden hut that I was really proud of, and it was completely closed off. I thought, 'this is boring let's make a window to see what time it is'. As soon as I made a window there was a creeper looking in. It took me a minute to recall what they were and that they exploded. Well let's just say the wall blew up and spiders claimed my butthole theirs.

Erhm lol.
They work, but differently than they originally did. Notch isn't removing them until he has a replacement, such as locomotives
Well, The only way they work right now, is to have them as turning boosters. This is, of course, if you play on /game/ or in the offline client. Infdev still works fine. Notch has already fixed the making of straight boosters in /game/ and the offline client, but yes, He did say he would be adding coal powered trains soon.
Really cool Survival Map here: http://minecraft.net/survivaltest/index.jsp?user=Sniper&id=1 The one above is pre-bombing, the one below is after the nukes went off. http://minecraft.net/survivaltest/index.jsp?user=Sniper&id=3 Oh, and I built a lot of the buildings including the infamous factory (don't forget to put some TNT in there!) and the big black office building on other end of the map.
Its like Left 4 Minecraft
Yeah, but does theirs have a community swimming pool? :colbert:
Yep. Right next to my office building. :colbert: [editline]04:18PM[/editline]
Its like Left 4 Minecraft
I know. This would be awesome in SMP.
Ehh, No need to worry. We were talking to Notch yesterday, He said we will most likely have coal powered trains soon. 16 pieces of track for every 1 piece of coal.
That will be awesome.
