1 thread is fine, just look at dwarf fortress, the df2010 came out, they went through 2 threads in about 3 days, now its back to normal.

How deep can you go generally before you hit lava? Also how the fuck do I make fire real quick like because not being able to see every 10 minutes is pissing me right the fuck off.

Just find a cave and you'll find lava pools. Make torches to see. Stick and coal on top in the crafting table. Makes 4.

what I normally do when spelunking is when i get to the end of a cave, i cover the enterance to the cave with bars made of dirt.
