I play Teemo a lot. And I have to say, he is quite easy to catch if you get him off guard. Although this is rather difficult, a bush gank with 1 or 2 people will ruin a Teemo's day. Especially if they have a stun or slow. Basically, if you get stunned or snared as Teemo, you are dead. It takes around 2 hits to die as him, so you have to play really carefully.

well that means you didn't have brushes shroomed up
if you have shrooms everywhere around your lane you will always know if someone is going to gank and you can escape before they gank
