CoD series, how does a generic shooter get so many sales and keep going?
Devil May Cry 4 Backtrack :frown:
People in MW2 who persist on doing a 360 kill.
This x1000. I fucking hate those top 10 kill videos where its an intervention 360 at the end of the game, and usually its a 12 year old who plays everyday, and then all the other 12 year olds in the game go "ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh" and its ALWAYS on the Xbox: 360.
Any thing that instantly kills you.
The fanbase of MW2 People who scream in their mics Missions where you go through a nearly impossible level, finish your objective, and just when you say "Fuck Yeah!" it tells you to go back through the goddamn level. [editline]09:22AM[/editline] And I'm looking at you Halo 3, with the goddamn cortana mission.
When enemies don't turn into a limp ragdoll on death.
When you see a trailer for the first time it looks all awesome and you are thinking about what awesome features there are in the game and when it releases... you are disappointed (Spore?)
I remember when that happened to Half Life 2. The E3 vids were soo much better imo. Then some asshat had to leak the whole game and make Valve rebuild the whole game, scalling it down a bit...
No FF in TF2
I hate how in most shooters I play that involve fighting alongside allies, your allies will shoot and take cover, but never actually do anything or kill anyone. In the end, you're left with killing pretty much every enemy by yourself. If you re to sit back in hiding, the battle would never end. I know the player is supposed to be involved and everything, but can't the NPCs do SOMETHING?
In read dead redemption, going to a bounty location just to have your horse fly off of a cliff when you're very close... just to have you restart at the town where your property is and having to go all they way back. :smithicide:
No player awareness. I like to be able to see myself. And it's not because of problems with perspective like it used to be, just look at Mirror's Edge. They pulled off player awareness beautifully.
No FF in TF2
Are you kidding, that'd be a total game breaker in TF2.
fucking cougars
^ This!! I was on that challenge to knife cougars and stuff, at night, raining. I started calling 'em cougar missiles, or cougar bombing raids, because they come behind you, strike, then run off. Once a bear hit me nonlethal-y, and knocked me off a mile high mountain...
When a game checkpoints right before you die and all you can do is sit there as you restart from the checkpoint and fall off a cliff, then restart and fall off...
Dying in Nazi Zombies before round 10.
"Power weapons" that are useless - Grenade launcher on L4D2.
When enemies are blind, like in splinter cell conviction.
How split-screen co-op is dying off.
Poor stealth manics STALKER is a real good example of this cause you can't sneak around. and enemies having fucking hive minds and know where you are
1)STEAM. 2)Not being able to save when i want, and being forced back to stupid checkpoints. Im looking at you men of valour. 3)When your reactions are soo fast they crash the computer. EDIT: 4)Insta kill rpgs that kill you despite you having no chance of evading or knowing they would appear. Also: the scene in men of valour when you could die in the cutscene.(not a glitch, and guess what crappy game im talking about.
Games with added stealth mechanics not fully built upon yet... Why include stealth when the first time your sighted, you give away your position permanently?
When a game is REALLY fucking buggy. I love STALKER and Dark Messiah but the bugginess keeps me from playing them again no matter how much I want to.
This has only ever been acceptable for tense situations that the story calls for. The only exception. And it better be a damn good story.
I loved the great gate mission in oblvion, only time I've ever enjoyed a timed mission. [editline]06:10PM[/editline] Oh yeah, when the player walks at a different rate than all NPCs. I mainly have the problem wiith Oblivion and Fallout 3, but it's a royal pain in the ass..
When you have to run through a game two or three times just to get the highest level shit.
the useless soldiers in resistance they say they got youre back 2 seconds later they get themselves killed and your alone again but i always coop so its not so bad
when you get conveniently separated from your partner, ususally done by falling down a hole or a cave-in
Snipers, shit ones good ones, snipers of any kind. fuck off out of my games. Invisible barriers, or barriers like knee high fences which can be walked over. Being killed by non game elements such as lag When your team mates are not team players.

Games that don't have proper demos, you play them and think they are worth the buy only to find out the best part was in the demo and everything after that is shit.
