The gun is undeniably solid, but the survivability is all around nonexistent.
Christ, first a match where tier 4 arty rapes my Mle 48.
Then a match where the teams consisted of arty and light tanks, I was having fun massacring the arty, just about to finish a tier 7 french arty when a friendly GwPanter decides to shoot and kill me.
I would've gotten 4 kills from that match but no, retarded fucking cunts with 2400 matches in GwPanther and still no fucking clue how to play arty.
THEN a mle 48 match where M40/M43 misses me, and hits like 5 meters away from my front and does 450 dmg and tracks me.
Fucking retarded fucks and OP mechanics, fuck playing with tier 8.

In just two days my winratio on T71 dropped from from like 56% to 50%. Why do I even care...

Jesus Christ the Conqueror is killing me. I went from getting around 2000 performance per battle to [i]-757[/i]. How the fuck do you even get negative performance? That can't be right. (Efficiency and WN6/7 still went up.) My stats aren't even that bad compared to the last update, and I've done much worse when it comes to having a bad day without this much of an impact. There goes 3 months of excellent play down the drain.

Meanwhile, even though the Conqueror is stuck using the 20 pounder for a while, I'm starting to get the hang of playing while stupid outmatched. I really like the Caernarvon, so I've gotten really good at working around its weaknesses and emphasizing its strengths. All of that still applies with the Conqueror so as long as I play smart, I'm hoping the grind to the L7A1 won't be [i]too[/i] bad. I already have all the other equipment researched from the Caernarvon.

It's as fast as and almost as agile as a medium tank, the armor is surprisingly bouncy against lower tier guns that you'd think would pen it easily, and if you manage to hull-down or side-scrape it can actually be a real bitch to kill. I've had an M103 and IS-3 empty into my tracks and ate their shells like they were escargot.
However, as much as I love it, I can't recommend it unless you're going up the French heavy line; it's a great crew trainer, and plays exactly like the poorly armored and speedy battlebusses that the other tier 7+ French heavies are.
That said, while the credit income is somewhat less than the Super Pershing and it requires a lot of thinking to play well, it's a real blast to play and makes grinding for credits much less of a slog compared to the slow, trundling, undergunned, and all-round dull Spershing experience.
