the armor on the T28 is actually quite good, it's a reasonably hard target to engage at range when it knows where you are and you don't have a 200+ pen gun.
even then it's kind of a toss up.
The huge cupolas are easy to hit though, but only at close range.
Worst thing about the T28 is that it leads to the T95 tbh. That thing is pretty much unplayable in randoms and it's the first ever tank I have sold without finishing its grind. :v:

This is basically why I refuse to play heavies and why I barely touch my french light/meds. I hate it when I lose because the tank I'm running just doesn't work (rushing back to base, etc..).

If the Russians got that, then the Germans would have to get their Flakpanzer Tigers, E-75s, and E-100s too. Come to think of it, I'm not even sure why they aren't in the game.

Serb.
Same guy who goes "lets add frontal transmissions to as many German tanks as possible because they like being lit on fire" and then goes "D-25-T.... D-2-5-T.... THEY ARE SEPARATE GUNS. ADD THEM."
I've dreamed about days where Wargaming got bought out before it go too big, by a Western Company. Serb got fired, Artillery was turned into something that required so much skill and planning that most players stopped using it. Hundreds of tanks were added and slowly balanced over time; rather than introducing four or five new OP ones and then nerfing them. Trees were reworked a little more based on relative year and power. The current heavy trio got moved down to VI (Tiger, IS, T29) and were all wonderfully rebalanced (IS still hit hard, but no accuracy. T29 was well-rounded. Tiger had a fucking machine gun 88 Kwk 36 with now acceptable penetration in the 175 area.) The entire high tier stuff was so reworked that I barely remembered it - except that the Maus and E-100 got additional armor and pen to keep up with the new Xs. Many, if not most, tanks got cool alternate gun choices, with multi-barrel tanks (Flakpanzers, SU-series with two to four guns) becoming a thing. There was no more gold anything. No more premium. It was like everyone had permanent premium. Camoflauge and emblems could be bought permanently without gold. Gold consumables were rebalanced - with a long delay to make up for their idle buffs, and the gold extinguisher being automatic, but more expensive and causing 2-4 tics of fire damage before working.
And my favorite: Gold rounds were made balanced. APCR did basically half or a little more than half damage, and was only useful for hurting higher tier tanks. HEAT had an accuracy loss and slightly slower shell time. HE was reworked to be useful again, with KV-2s no longer doing 100-200 damage with a 152 howitzer. At higher tiers, with large guns, HE became very useful against mediums and lights; as it now was very powerful, but was only as powerful as the weakest armor it could 'see' at point of impact; no longer was it a case of 150mm E-100s doing 75 HE damage to a T-50-2. Physics was also reworked to include shell and explosive forces; causing some lights (and in rare-cases) mediums to flip over when hit. And the only other thing I remember about this glorious dream is that ammo-racking someone would cause their turret to pop off and that it acted like a tank corpse; meaning that if it landed on a smaller or light tank, it would horribly kill them.
A man can dream.

Please, stop complaining about tanks getting released as OP. in last few patches, the only thing to come out as probably quite OP is the T57H. Chinese and Brits are considered UP if anything, mostly OK.
New Russian TDs blow. Brit TDs are mostly considered okay.
The game has 99 problems but op release and persistent power creep are not one.

Kinda like the JT gun we've had for years.
Tortoises gun.
It's slow as fuck, with nonexisting camo, and the armor which is alright but nowhere as tank-saving as on T95, which will get only worse when people learn about the right front cheek weakspot.
It's balanced in my book.

Historically accurate. Yes, the E-50 having a frontal transmission is correct.
It feels like warpback to a year ago.
Don't even start, there's no arguing the Wehraboos.

I'm just talking about the gun in general, just compare it to the AMX 50 Foch gun, it's better in every way while having same pen and dmg.
Stealing from someone's thread.
The placement of the transmission was a somewhat ambiguous one. At least at the "experimental" level designers were considering rear mounted final drives as part of power pack concept to simplify maintenance. This is based on the preferably having the gearbox and final drive at the rear of the hull (as mentioned in the second requirements given by Wa Prüf 6). The technical superiority of forward drive was recognized (tests by the Germans had shown that tractive effort was far greater with front drive), but the military advantage of having the drive at the rear where it was not endangered by anti-tank fire, and the greater internal space in the fighting compartment which would result from the placement, influenced the choice of rear drive.
However, these first thoughts and proposals on future panzer requirements were never given any priority and as the war situation deteriorated. The “real“ engine/transmission package designers from Maybach never actively got involved and the armor designers certainly had not considered how a rear drive might be mounted. Wartime reality dictated that the front drive was seen as being a good enough of a solution. This would indicate that if the E-50 had been produced, it would have had a front drive until conditions allowed the redesigning to a rear drive, which is where the "fictional" E-50 Ausf. M would come into being: the ultimate design of German panzer development.
Big important note about the 8.5 patch: The 3601H will ONLY lead to the Tiger, so if you haven't researched the VK3002DB, do it now otherwise your XP will get stuck as free XP.

It's a joke, don't go so crazy over it.
Some have been pretty bad, but the last few runs are alright. I'd say the new Object 263 is a little obnoxious with it's zero frontal weak-spots (sans the blue-moon shot under the mantlet.) Overall, the new stuff is alright, kind of. There's a rough feeling of Germany being left to rot; but whatever, nothing new.
To say that Wargaming hasn't (not is currently) released tanks that were rather powerful and then nerfed the shit out them is delusional, however.

It happened but I think they are learning.
Both look adorable
I'm guessing that the DB will not get a better gun with the patch. That's an L/70 on the D right?
