Any of you guys think we should set up a list of recommended mods in the OP so that we can download to make the daily grind not-so-monotone and same-looking. I feel lost in the sauce knowing that there is only jimbo's crosshairs.
This is a good idea. Every update I always install the Historical Realism Gun sounds pack: http://historicalrealism.blogspot.com/ I also always install the latest version of Gnomefathers Engine pack: http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/121210-gnomefathers-engine-pack-now-compatible-with-084/
ups :~) [thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/24075839/karma.png[/thumb]
What crosshair mod are you using?
whats that minimap mod that shows the circles and enemy tank names, and has a line of sight that goes across the map, i always find it bundled with other crap i dont want, like this but with tank names [t]http://i.imgur.com/S9ls7mj.jpg[/t]
http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/95330-locastans-enh-hd-minimap-gen-2-84/ I think its this. Doesn't use XVM.
What is XVM anyways?
I have to admit this year's april fools from WG is actually pretty good if you don't know [editline]1st April 2013[/editline]
What is XVM anyways?
overlay puts peoples stats by their names (winrate, effeciency, total matches played, etc), highly configurable
What is XVM anyways?
It lets you see stuff like win rate and number of games played of other players in game. Among other things it can also calculate your win ratio of each game. I dont recommend it. The way I see it always assume other players are good. also it depresses you to see ppl with 13k games and a 42% win ratio....
Wait, let me get this straight; they actually patched the game for some April fools jokes, but patching in some medals for the clan wars event is of course impossible? Perhaps WG isn't incompetent, they are simply horrible at prioritizing.
What crosshair mod are you using?
i have no idea honestly - it was part of a modpack i downloaded a while ago then customised to my liking, but i think the original modpack creator said it was some russian one that he translated himself. i've got my mod folder - minus sound mods due to size - in an archive on my dropbox since some friends use it too, so i can pm the link to you if you'd like, then you can grab the crosshair .swfs and whatever else from it.
Ill apply for the facepunch clan, as SprelleNOR
Ill apply for the facepunch clan, as SprelleNOR
doesn't let me accept you, if you left another clan right before this you have to wait a certain time to be able to join a new one
Ok, i see; ill apply tomorrow then
looked at addons section, saw an interesting mod, decided to give it a try. [thumb]http://imageshack.us/a/img831/5462/mathmodfaq.jpg[/thumb] INFORMATION OVERLOAD AHHHH
lel, Jesus who has time to actually posses all that? all you need is a simple hud that gives you range to target and reload time, thats all.
link? the effective armor calculator seems kinda useful, but i doubt it's precise at all
http://forum.worldoftanks.eu/index.php?/topic/227108-084-meltymapsmathmod05/ [editline]1st April 2013[/editline] hhhehe
link? the effective armor calculator seems kinda useful, but i doubt it's precise at all
it doesn't calculate effective armour i don't think, or at least not from what i have seen in my testing - it just states the armour of the bit you are aming at (trooters' IS driver slit was 0, apparently), and the angles you can penetrate that at with the arc thing that i haven't actually figured out how to read properly yet (it also takes into account penetration degradation over distance, which is p cool)
