I went afk to get the phone and when I came back my last ally was hiding behind me with 4 enemy tanks (super Pershings, a tiger, a VK4502A) blasting away at my front plate. I expected to blow up at any moment, but they kept bouncing until I killed them all. Then I turned to go stop a td and another super Pershing from capping, but they kept me tracked after they failed to pen my front too, and I didn't have sight on them.
Oh, this was in my completed KT.

Truth is, T95 is one of the main reasons why I'm playing this. And the first branch I've started to grind was the turretless US TD line.
I've only ever seen the T95 get raped by artillery or go painfully slow... but now it's so tempting to grind towards, since I really would love to have a tank where even gold rounds have a hard time getting through the front of it.
It's either that or the E-100. Decisions decisions...
I have an IS-8 and a T-54 (and an IS-4 which I can't buy) after like 3800 battles. I can't see myself ever playing the IS-7 and the 200k XP from T-54 to T-62A seems fucking absurd to me.
I am playing through British Medium and TD trees... where should I go from here? I hate the French playstyle, and Germany is massively underwhelming.

I just had the oddest match.
It was on himmelsdorf encounter and me and a group of mediums swarmed the alley.
We were completly strangers and yet we had such amazing cooperation between us.
Teamwork like that really warms my heart.
Just a shame that you almost never get people like that on your team.

Can barely see the FP logo if you have some light shining on your tank since its light gray on white, text is pretty much unreadable at all angles and the border looks like a plastic badge you get pinned on your t-shirt when it's your 5th birthday. :v: Don't know why EU didn't use the same logo as the US clan in the first place. What logo does the new FPFP clan use?
I'm really curious as to why WG isn't considering giving players an option to make their tanks 'premium': pay a certain amount of gold to get the tank of their choice to have lower repair bills, higher profit, and a bonus to crew training.
I'd give so much gold to make my 13 90 premium...

Yep, as they have said over and over against the suggestion - Premium tanks [i]are[/i] generally worse than the other stuff of the tier, or, well, that rule gets weaker and weaker at lower tiers so you end up with Minimaus and such.
If I could make I C and T71 premium, I would do that immediately.

What the MIGHT do would be possibility of doing that with tanks in their stock/some sort of historically sensible configuration - for example Tiger with the short 88mm KV-1S with just the 85mm get bonus points and experience for being "genuine".

Generally, I think that module sensible matchmaking might be good as well. It could be fun to drive Tiger with it's historic short 88mm if thanks to that it had it's top tier shaved off and that made it's armor actually do something.
Orrrr they could take the non lazy route and make each tank have a preset configuration that it would switch to for the duration of its premium. I.e. they wouldn't have their top guns or whatever makes it competitive for its tier. But WG [i]is[/i] lazy so that won't happen.

The thing is, most of the premium tanks are worse in some ways and better in others; the T34 has a dingtanium turret and a scary alpha damage, the Super Pershing has troll-tier armor when used right, the FCM 50t has the mobility of a medium and an excellent gun, the SU-122-44 has a stupidly good DPM, the TOG has an insane health pool and a decent gun.... not to mention a lot of the ones that AREN'T necessarily as good as the tanks in their tier (lacking penetration or armor that stands up against the higher tier tanks) have preferential matchmaking, so they can perform just fine anyway.
Of course, you'd still need to make your tank an Elite tank by unlocking everything on it first. The main aim here would be to give a way to drive a tank profitably without having to buy a premium account (but still pay moneys for it to fill SerB's vodka quota), along with a fantastic crew training bonus.
Oh, and I'd definitely want a rebalance of gold ammo before that ever happened. There's plenty of options there, like APCR having less damage (due to it only having a small hardened core), or HEAT being less accurate (and doing less damage out of howitzers than HE or AP).
But WG is gonna WG.
