You need to upgrade in order. Vanilla -> BC -> WotLK
Obviously your fat ass makes up the majority of Facepunch..
lol u mad
Do you have to buy both expansions for the most content or does the newer one have the same as the old one with the newer stuff.
You do need both expansions. The end-game content from both Classic (level-60 no-expansion) and Burning Crusade (level 70 first expansion) is completely obsolete and nobody does it, but you do need both to get to Northrend in the first place, it's impossible to jump between the Old World and Northrend without leveling in Outland first. So yes, you need BC. There is a collector's pack the has both Classic and BC for like :20bux:. Though I honestly suggest waiting a few months 'til Cataclysm. You could be a player who get entirely turned off with just leveling, and Cata is going to completely reform the Old World and make leveling actually fun and interesting. Not to mention that there will most likely be a Classic, BC, AND Wrath combo for 40 bucks or so very soon after release.
cool i shall start playing in the summer when i have money and the new expansion is released.
Just keep this in mind after Cataclysm: You will be beginning to level during the events immediately following the fall of the Lich King and the re-emergence of Deathwing, BUT when you hit Outland, you'll be going back in time a couple years to the re-opening of the Dark Portal and Magtheridon's containment by Illidan, AND you will be going into Northrend about a year after another massive failed attempt by the Burning Legion to invade Azeroth by Kael'thas using the Sunwell to summon Kil'jaeden, and into the Horde and Alliance push into Northrend to defeat the Lich King. Then, when you go back to the old continents for Cataclysm, Deathwing will have re-emerged. I feel bad for new players. So much they've missed. :/
If you're a lower level, try finding a small group to do quests with. It's fun, and easier to level up. The only problem I have with WoW is that it feels like a drag when you're doing quests alone and you have to walk over long distances. It's the only few places that the game feels like you're grinding.
The appeal is in WoW, you get to talk to other people with no life and other people who dress up as Night Elves.
Would be much more hot without the ears.
I tried the demo for a few hours, and I just couldn't get into it. Seemed like a waste of time to be honest. It has appeal to a lot of people it seems though.
Buy wow it is fun u can kill things with spells and attacks and get loot it is good fun and u can do with frends instence and kill tugh bosses to get verry nice eqipement for your char to get better and have fun
What different enemies are there?
Humanoids, Undead, Elementals, Beasts, Demons, Giants [editline]08:40PM[/editline]
Not sure why everyone in this section forces the game upon people, if he didn't enjoy the trial what's the point of buying the game? He obviously won't get to 80 if he doesn't like it, and if it only gets fun at 80 then it's a waste of money to him.
Dude, you cant decide if a game is good by playing the demo / trial... Theres so much you miss by playing the trial only in WoW Max level is 20, you cant speak in general chats, only /say and /yell No auction house / face to face trading Max gold cap; 20g You cant invite player to groups, you cant wishper high level people
It's A 50-50 standoff, I say, Download a private server, If you want it to be exactly like Blizzard, there are alot of good ones on www.wowstatus.net Its exactly like the blizzard servers, but a few quests might be broken depending on the server.
literally the worst way to play the game
When I was a kid (like 12 or something) I played for two years on and off and it got really boring. Came back recently for two months (Got to level 70) and got really really bored again. Then I decided it ONE more chance and found that my account was permabanned because I let my friend use it once. (He didn't break the rules on it, they just found out I let someone else on my account) [editline]06:33PM[/editline] I even tried to appeal it and they were like no fuck you
I play on my friends account all the time. No probs [editline]08:24PM[/editline]
I shall try it one day then.
Don't buy it, you won't miss it and it will take a lot of your time, it's not a game like i do this and that and i'll beat the crap out of everyone ingame, you'll have to play months before you can even do something or be someone. It's a waste of time really.

Me and my friend did that and it helped me figure out how to play well. Then you can just play off that. It makes it even more fun when you are in a good guild. I don't think it is a waste of time at all. It is seriously a game you cannot beat.
I tried the demo for a few hours, and I just couldn't get into it. Seemed like a waste of time to be honest. It has appeal to a lot of people it seems though.
The problem with the WoW trial is that it only shows 1-20 content, which is the standard: -Kill 10 rhis, kill 5 that, bring me 4 of that and 6 of this. I didn't liked this game at all when I started, but a friend got me back in. Believe me, it's much more fun playing with your real-life friends.
I played it for awhile, got to level 33 or 34 or whatever. It just got so freaking BORING. Everyday you go through the same thing, kill this enemy, raid that place, collect so and so items from an enemy you just killed for the last quest. Yes there's powerleveling, but I never really got it or felt like dicking around doing something even more boring on my computer. Honestly the only game I dare spend over 700 hours on is garrysmod, due to the fact I hate repetiveness and only play games until the fun ends. (Im not gonna get all hidden stars just for a hidden goodie, sorry mario.) That being said, it's 15 dollars a month, which is a good chunk of money if you're paying taxes or working on an allowance. Basically you're paying for something every month that has no real point, is addictive as coke to some, and is so overdone you might as well just waste a few hours on a free mmorpg (And there are some surprisingly good ones out there, and with better graphics.) /endrant This is just my opinion, you might enjoy it but still... I just really hate it.
It's not even a good chunk of money if you're paying taxes, only if you're working on an allowance. If you're working on an allowance, get a fucking job.
All of my friends said WoW was gay but I got one to try it and he loved it and then he got everyone to play it, its a really fun game don't believe what the haters say
i shall wait for Cataclysm it seems that it will make my first time experience better.
Usually I play for 3 months, stop for four months and play other games, and then back for 3 months again. It is fun though the very first time you pick it up, be sure though that the class you pick is the one you'll probably be playing for a long time. Re-Rolling is annoying :/
played it for about two months, got bored after lvl 15 or so, quit. and don't say "do pvp" because I tried that, and kept getting pwnd by twinks
It can be a pain in the ass to farm and grind things every now and then, but it's a good social experience when all your friends are busy, or you can't hang out with them for whatever reason. Pretty much every environment and enemy style you can think of is in there. There's even some acid trip looking environments in outland, that's how diverse they are. A fast way to level is just to press "I" and look for a group. Sign yourself up for queue then quest while you wait. You will level fast by doing so. You can also do pvp if you like territories and capture the flag type games.
