I had 3 ATI cards and i had some kind of problem with every one of them, since the last one i [i]never[/i] used ATI again, NVIDIA all the way.
Also i prefer NVIDIA because they pretty much buy up all new technologies (stuff like Cuda and PhysX) and thus can implement them better in their cards.
Can't wait for DX11 NVIDIA card.

This sure makes a lot of sense seeing as how there are about twenty thousand different brands that manufacture NVIDIA cards.
Funnily enough, I've had the complete opposite experiences. My ATI cards have all been flawless, my X1950Pro was amazing, it's still in working order, though I now have a 5870. I guess a lot of it depends on what card manufacturer you use though, whether it's one that actually works on it, or just slaps on some stickers and charges an extra £20

There is no co-op, and from what I've seen the tether has no collision (so no clotheslining people)
The first game was a huge letdown for me, I wonder if this will do the same thing.

I've had 3 ATi cards and 2 nvidia cards. None of them have had any issues whatsoever. My 4870 is a pretty cheap and tack model, but it has never once crapped out on me. lern2graphics. Stop being such a goddamn fanboy, they're fucking graphics cards for god's sake.

The devs wanted to focus on making it the best single player experience they could, and if they included co-op they would need to do a lot more to optimize the game to have more than one player.
You can't expect every game to have co-op in it, no matter how cool it would be.
