I upgraded to the steam UI beta because I had suspicions about the internet explorer browser being at fault and it worked. However, try restarting steam first.

The demo was pretty fun. Messing with the helicopter stunt thing was awesome. The controls were kinda funky though. Also, there seemed something "off" about the mouse. I'm not sure what it was though. I used the grappling hook on a house and went through the wall. I got stuck inside of the house. If they fix the bugs and optimize it a little, I might buy it.

Most of the time when there is something "off" about the mouse, it is the fact that VSync is turned on. Haven't finished downloading yet, so I can't confirm, but try turning it off if you have it on.
I feel really uncormfortable using mouse with this so I plugged in my 360 controller and was much better. Mouse movement seemed really bad with vsync off too.
All I've done it hop on a car and shoot front tyres and watch them roll so far.
demo is a blast! I'm probably buying this game.
I love the freedom of the demo, the first thing I did was jump off a cliff, stole a helicopter and flew around.

Holy fuck this game is amazing, I stole a helicopter, got shot down, blew up some bad guys, grappled onto a propane tank and then flew up into the skies and hi-jacked a helicopter.

Me too. On the Steam UI beta and the old one.
Never mind, Bad Company 2 didn't close properly. Ended the process and now everything works fine.
If I click optimal settings in the graphics options, it gives me an ultra high configuration. Makes my game crawl at like 25 FPS, though. Default settings (Which I presume is the graphics settings the consoles use) makes the game fly at around 65 FPS, though.
All in all; Just as awesome as I expected it to be. I had more fun in this demo than I've ever had in the fullversion of the first one.

There is a 20 minute demo time limit, this always gets removed by community's so you can walk around the demo more.

Hacking/blowing up the bases/pipelines is fun. And the Grappling hook has LOOOONG range, stranded in the desert with no car? Aim at the ground a good distance away and grapple!

It is badass when you jump off a helicopter and grappling hook to the crane.
Oh and when some enemies are shooting at you from the tower, no problem, just grappling hook on the tower and kill them.

How do you do that? I just disconnect when I grapple to the propane tanks. The ones in the opening base anyway. Awesome game though, the mouse control is a little sluggish but other than that it's all fine and dandy. Looks beautiful and has a flawless framerate too. Must buy.
hijacked a helicopter, got waaaay up in the air, bailed out and evidently my chopper landed on the one that was chasing me and destroyed it.

How the fuck could they fuck up basejumping? It's controlled by the mouse, but it's like notched. There are three notches - left, forward and right, but let me give you a representation oh big each one is.
