How to attach myself to a propane canister? [editline]07:57AM[/editline]
Tthe 1st game looked terrible and thought I might give the second a chance even though it looked just as bad. I don't understand how you guys can like this game, it's so boring and retarded. The only amusing thing to do is grapple rockets to people, that's about it.
You can fly in to the sky on a propane rocket. You can hang from a helicopter and take out other helicopters using a mere pistol. You can travel the diverse landscape. You can blow up a shitload of stuff. You have a grappling hook and no invisible walls. This is the new "Fuck Shit Up" Edit: I wonder why people are freezing? I'm on a rig which probably shouldn't get 50fps on JC2 and I'm not freezing at all. (is this game reliant on RAM or something)
THE ONE ANSWER TO ANSWER THEM ALL The plane appears after you have caused enough chaos to unlock the race mission. It is around the center of the map, you can see it on the PDA as a race icon. By mousing over the race icon and opening the details, you will see a plane symbol under the 'Type of vehicle' section. Go there, initiate the race, and a plane will spawn. You can complete the race, which takes time, but at the end you will be able to do anything you want with the plane. On the other hand, you don't have to do the race, you can just fly the plane around and there isn't much of a penalty, but the downside is since the game thinks you're in a race, all the mission icons are erased off your map. (for the duration you are in the plane) To get a helicopter you have to get enough chaos to get the black market (key '4'), and then unlock the helicopter under the 'vehicles' section of it. This helicopter doesn't have any weapons however, so you have to order it and fly it near enemies until they call for reinforcements and an armed enemy helicopter shows up. Get into stunt mode - (Press LALT) - and grapple onto the enemy chopper when it gets close. Kill the person in the side seat, then press 'E' to enter the chopper, complete the quick time event, and bam, you have a slightly used attack helicopter.
If you go left on the road from the first town after you jump off the beginning area and follow that road eventually you'll see a military base on the right, there's an attack helicopter there... Thanks for the info on the plane though! I really want to go to the major city and jump from some tall buildings :( or jump from that mountain that's just outside the demo area...
How come I get 40FPS in borderlands, record, and get 20FPS (Normal) but when I get 40FPS in JC2, record, and then my framerate goes down to like 12. That ain't right. [editline]08:10AM[/editline] Also, to get a helicopter, I normally think like this. From the start: Go to the jumping platform, jump off towards the first town. Get a bike and drive in the same direction you basejumped, parachute off the cliff. Keep going until you see a shady-looking fortified mansion. Where the colonel is standing. Go to the right hand side of that building WITHOUT BEING SEEN and grapple up. Now, run over to the helicopter, get in as quick as possible and hold left shift to fly away. It tells you the controls from there.
Borderlands is using UE3, which is pretty old, and isn't that demanding. What settings are you running JC2 on? [editline]03:14AM[/editline] Also, you can get a grenade launcher in the top of the bell tower in the first town.
How to attach myself to a propane canister?
When you grapple, aim at the very top of the propane canister, right where the nozzle is. Alternatively you can aim to the middle, but you have to have great timing so the canister lifts off from the time you grapple to the time you reel all the way in.
The ones that shoot straight up
From my experience you can only grapple onto some propane tanks.
Only the fat ones, standing up
I'm having some graphical problems. I can see the wireframes on the ground and during the cinematics there's alot of static on the dark areas. Anyone else having this?
I can only grab onto the ones that have cylinders around the nozzles of them. The military-esque ones. It's hard to explain. [editline]08:22AM[/editline] You have to have an imagination to find this game fun. I see you have none.
whoa easy there m8 maybe you can point out some fun things to do in this game since i lack imagination
I'm having some graphical problems. I can see the wireframes on the ground and during the cinematics there's alot of static on the dark areas. Well its just a demo I'm sure they'll fix it in the final release or patch it.
Damn, that's a tease. I tried flying to the biggest mountain and I was nearly at the edge of it then... you're out of the demo area
http://www.facepunch.com/showpost.php?p=20560926&postcount=700

I have only ten minutes left :saddowns: Is there any trainer or some shit that extends/freezes the time?
Oh man oh god oh man oh god oh man oh god SWEET JESUS FUCK THIS GAME IT IS FUCKING BITCHINGLY AWESOMELY AMAZINGLY GOOD FUCK OH SHIT I went on a minigun rampage and destroyed a helicopter then fleed in an amazing car chase, without me even being in a car. Jesus. @above, you can restart.
@above, you can restart.
holyshithow
What's the point of having a timer if you can just restart the game and have it give them back their time? Why not just give everyone unlimited time?
It crashes on start up for me any help?
Help me
Shame you can't fire out the vehicle, apart from that it's an awesome demo
What's the point of having a timer if you can just restart the game and have it give them back their time? Why not just give everyone unlimited time?
Because having to restart the game is annoying and it forces people to buy the game
Shame you can't fire out the vehicle, apart from that it's an awesome demo
Yeah, but that's the point of jumping onto the hood. :v:
:sweden: A game I am actually looking forward to buying.
lol I use xp aww
What's the point of having a timer if you can just restart the game and have it give them back their time? Why not just give everyone unlimited time?
Wait, you mean if I exit and come back all my time is given back to me? Basically, it's just SESSIONS of 30 minutes?
Wait, you mean if I exit and come back all my time is given back to me? Basically, it's just SESSIONS of 30 minutes?
Just like Postal 2 Demo.
So it finally finished downloading, and has either frozen on the loading screen (music keeps playing) or frozen after a couple of minutes of play (music keeps playing). Great.
upgrading my GFX drivers solved that for me.
I'm re-downloading I hope this works
Alternatively, on a base there is a attack heli already on the pad, you just have to find it.
Just remember to take out the flak thingies first.
I wish there was a way to at least double the limited time, 30 minutes a sesh is just not that much for this awesome game.
Well I got the game to work. Playing it on medium-high and i really like it. Too bad it crashed when it was like 6 minutes left. Right when i was hijacking the witness car :(
Keeps freezing randomly. It also lags like a motherfucker in the intro sequence with the crappy film grain effect. As for the game itself, I still have to get used to the controls properly but it seems fun so far. (Roping someone on a motorcycle to the street while they're driving never gets old)
