That's true. However, it looks like the've learned from the last one.
I thought apart from the car physics, animations and shooting, the first game was pretty cool, all I did mostly was go up in planes and helis and skydive, one of the most beautiful games when seeing it from 1000's of feet.
When does this disc full of badass come out?

Unfortunately, I don't think so. I agree that it would be so much fun if you could clothesline people off of motorcycles with the hook, but you can still have plenty of fun. (Like the batman thing, just hook the front of a moving semi truck to the ground and watch it flip!)

The devs even say that the game isn't supposed to be realistic...

Who cares if you have an infinitely respawning parachute, or that you can hook helicopters to planes, or that you can skydive off of a building and then grapple a plane and surf on it. If it's [U][B]fun[/B][/U] then you won't care about the physical impossibilities.

This and Alien Vs Predator 3 are #1 for my 2010 game list.
Unfourtant that North America only gets 1 of the 5 pre-order items, while Europle and the UK get all 5.
This keeps looking better as I see more on it, but I'm not going to get uber hyped because nothing good ever comes from that! I'll just have to play this Saints Row 2 + Mercs 2 combo and see for myself!

Buying it just to latch cars to the ground.
This is a must buy for me. I'm going to end up hooking a jet to the ground and hoping he just crashes and doesn't lift the planet up... Bad physics.

Usually I'm a fan of realism, but on this particular game I whole-heartedly agree with you.
Also, it has Harleys and they got the sound right, which means I'm completely sold on this point alone.
I want it sooo bad... Sad that there is no multiplayer though. freeroaming with 16 guys would be so damn dope.
the grappling hook reminds me of bionic commando.

I think that it requires even a bit of vertical velocity, so standing still and using it wouldn't work.
Unless it's windy.
