Do the tutorial thingy.
Oh, and the demo is awesome. I love grappling people on a bike going one way to another person on a bike going the other way. Plus, flying on the plane, shooting the helicopter shooting at me with my grenade launcher.
:smug:
I can't find the tutorial.
I understand the full game will have a metric shit-ton of settlements, but what about reasons to explore the landscape?
Will there be something like GTA's hidden packages?
The billions of mountaintops are cool and all, but pointless if you have no reason to check them out.
Have you not been collecting vehicle upgrade parts and weapon upgrade parts? You can use them in the blackmarket menu to upgrade the weapons and vehicles that are delivered to you.
Not sure what the armor parts do yet though.
getting bad mouse-lag :(
I have V-sync forced off in CCC
My framerate is fine though. this is really annoying

Have you tried turning the AA down in it?
Awesome way to get rid of followers:
Tether your car to the enemy's car, drive off a cliff and escape by parachute.
The snowy mountains have copious amounts of light!

City Lights

Those abominable snowman never turn off their lights, they're the cause of global warming.
I love it when you grapple an enemy and pull them and they say "AHH HE CAUGHT ME WIZ HIS WIRE THINGY"
I want the limit gone :(
I want the limit gone :(
You and everyone else on this thread.
They should let people preorder this and give limitless playtime for those who do.
Gah.
I want the limit off so bad. I love the C4, but by the time I get it I only have 15 - 20 minutes left. :(
Any mods that make the tether unbreakable?
Calling the Black Market is a bitch.
I finally found that awesome looking sports car.

Some BAMFs in the News Node thread have fixed the timer, how do you do it?

I got that once and it had dual machine guns on the roof, I jizzed myself.
Also there is a TVR style sports car around the back of the big mansion.
Here you go bitches, I have disabled the demo time limit.
Get a RAM hacking program like Cheat Engine or Poke, and while playing open the PDA. Check how much time you have left and note it down, minimise the game, load up your RAM hacker and make sure Just Cause 2 is the game to be edited. Convert the time from minutes and seconds into just seconds with Google (i.e. http://spedr.com/2kujb) and whack the number in. You'll probably get a fuckload of entries after this - that's normal. Return to the game, let a few seconds of gametime pass and repeat the process (this is so the RAM hacker can identify which variable controls the time). It only took 2 attempts for me to find the time variable, then all you have to do is use your RAM hacker to freeze it. I use Cheat Engine, and it's worked fine for me.
Any problems, post them and I'll see what you're doing wrong.
This game is pretty awesome, simply epic although I'm having trouble with the controls.

That only change the timer countdown display, the game still ends after 30 minutes.

They give you a small boost to your max health. Like codex pages in AC2.

How so? Hit 2 buttons and you've called it..

Doesn't always work, gotta navigate a bit.
Apparently you can extend your Demo time. I was rushing to finish a mission with 30 seconds left on the clock, only to have it extended by 30 more seconds.
I found another solution for disabling the time limit.
There's an app called Cracklock - http://william.famille-blum.org/software/cracklock/index.html
Download & install.
Run the program, and add Steam\steamapps\common\just cause 2 demo\JustCause2.exe
Enable the checkbox @ Configuration -> "Freeze date/time".
Need someone to confirm that it works. From what I've read, it does
Also, @mods, if reverse-engineering a demo falls within the anti-warez rules, please let me know and I'll snip. My understanding is that it doesn't.
didn't work for me.
How to extend demo time:
Complete Race Challenge - 2 minutes
Complete Faction Mission - 1 minute
Discover 10 Locations - 30 seconds
100% Complete 3 Locations - 30 seconds
50 Kills - 30 seconds
5 Melee Kills - 30 seconds
5 Fall Kills - 30 seconds
5 Juggle Kills - 30 seconds
1 Drag Kill - 30 seconds
[editline]03:21PM[/editline]
(You can get an extra 6 1/2 minutes if you're raw)
Baaah, where is the plane? I found it then lost it again.
Any ideas where it is folks?

There's a giant mansion with a colonel. It's near that. (Past the first village you see when you basejump off the ledge in the spawn camp)
Ok, guys I'm just gonna throw this out..
Download Hex workshop here http://www.bpsoft.com/downloads/
Install, File>Open the game executable from
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\just cause 2 demo\JustCause2.exe
Edit>GoTo
Type: 03F206D
Change the value 75 to EB
Save, start the game
That will bscly take care of the area limmitation,
I'm still working on the timer thingy, takes 30 mins to test it out so it may take a while to get it polished
