It could be because I'm running 64-bit so I have the 64-bit exe? I don't know, it does work for me :|
I'm running 64-bit and no worky for me. (Windows 7)
does anyone know if there are any weapons that are not accessible in the demo?
i need a list of stuff to attempt :science:
definitely want to see if i can unlock some menus that aren't in the demo, at the very least
edit:fuck , ana's exe won't work for me. closes right away. extracted w/ 7zip. Win7 x64
no wait, the modified .exe doesn't work
Windows 7 64 bit and it works for me.
the one -ana made
Because it removes the area limits as well...
So what its pretty much the full game?
no wait, the modified .exe doesn't work
The time limit is still there?
the timelimit just ran out
Holy fucking shit. I just climbed to the top of the radio tower while being pursued by helicopters, they shoot the radio tower as well as me when they fire, thing goes boom, and while I'm falling I grapple up to the chopper and proceed to fuck shit up. Awesome.
Anyone know that it works yet? Been just over 37 minutes or so. Also, Ana, you are amazing
Aw, when I try to run the Modified .exe the screen flickers as if its opening, then nothing happens...
I'm using a Vista 32 Bits, by the way..
So what its pretty much the full game?
Not really, when you go outside of the demo area half of the map is completely removed.

syntax: holy shit
syntax: it actually works
My friend on steam so yeh, it does.
Anas file doesn't work. The timer on mine just ran out.
Might be because I have the steam demo and it probably refixed the exe. Timer didn't appear in game untill the last 10 second countdown though.
I'm contempt to wait until the official release if it really comes down to it but it would be nice to have as much time in the demo as you want. Right now it's an annoying cocktease.
Demo is pretty fun! I might pick it up on xbox or something, feels easier to play on a gamepad.

No.
The map outside of the area that you are confined to is hardly modeled.
You still don't have access to a majority of vehicles, weapons, and upgrades.
There are no other missions or areas to cause chaos.
Cracked EXE doesn't work. It just hides both timers, and lets you go outside of the area.
Hi all!
Just wanted to tell you how to stop the REAL timer with Cheat Engine and not just the displayed counter.
Probably why noone found the correct value in Cheat Engine before is because the timer actually does not decrease, it increases! It seems Avalanche was a bit tricky on this one
The adress seems to change every time so there is no definite adress to lock. It always seems to begin in 1A5 though.
1) Start Just Cause 2, trigger the timer by jumping off the platform. Open the PDA by pressing F1 and check what the timer says. Memorize it, or write it down.
2) Alt-tab out and start CheatEngine. In CheatEngine, browse the processes and select JustCause2.exe. Choose 'Unknown initial value' from the 'Scan type' drop-down list, '4 Bytes', and hit the 'First Scan' button.
3) Go in-game again, un-pause and let some time go by.
4) Again, open the PDA and check how many seconds have gone by. Alt-tab back to CheatEngine and search for a new value, this time a 'Value increased by...' (or, as listed by the program, 'Increased value by...'), and enter the appropriate value (the time in seconds that passed) in the 'Value:' box. Hit 'Next Scan'.
5) Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you find the correct value, usually an address starting with '1A5'.
6) When found, double-click it to add it to the box below. Freeze it and play for as long as you want.
I can assure you that it works. I have played through the demo for many hours and finished 100% of all the settlements.

Somebody should make a 32 Bit modified .exe .
-Ana's is only for 64 bits, or so it seems.
Yeah, Ana's doesn't work. I thought it did, but my demo just quit without warning. I'll try Nioreh83's method.
well, fuck, the cities are just a skybox

Just because he can't SEE the timer, doesn't mean it isn't there..

I just hit the limit... no timer, but you still run out after 30 minutes.

It is modeled, it just isn't in the demo.
well, fuck, the cities are just a skybox
Did you expect them to leave all the content in there? It's a 1gb demo.
Tested:
Going out of area works with no error spamming message/message
Timer failed, it removed the count down but last 10 seconds it displayed then stopped demo.
Guess I was right.
Most of these are probably looking for the fix.
